Hollyoaks’ Gregory Finnegan has revealed that his missing cat has sadly died.
The actor, who plays James Nightingale, has taken to social media to share that his missing pet had been found, but the poor thing was in a ‘bad way’ and had to be put to sleep.
He told fans: ‘Strange night. My missing cat Jacko found his way home in a bad way and after a consultation with a vet had to be put to sleep. Thankful that I got to say goodbye to my best little bud who’s been with me through so much. Upset & depressed I stopped at a pub on the way home (1/2) (sic).’
He added a warm memory of the moggy and shared a positive ending to the evening as his team Tottenham Hotspur won their match and he credited his cat with having something to do with it.
He wrote: ‘(2/2) And remembered there was a game going on. Incredible scenes which left my shattered emotions further shredded. Gonna miss you Jacko, you watched me tear my hair out watching Spurs over the past 17 years and I’m going to credit you with the incredible comeback. (sic).’
Earlier this week he’d revealed he was ‘fearing the worst’ after realising the cat had gone missing.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘This old timer wandered out of the house at the weekend and hasn’t been seen since. Fearing the worst (sic)’
Fans shared their sympathies as fellow actor Daisy Wood-Davis branded the cat a ‘legend’.
She wrote: ‘Awwwww Greg. This is so shit, I’m so sorry! Is Jacko the cat that brought that huge fish back that time!? And went missing before but came back? If so, that cat was a bloody legend. Sending you and the fam love xxx.’
Ofcom has revealed that fans of Emmerdale who were upset at last night’s episode which depicted Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) being raped have lodged complaints with the regulator.
The episode aired at 7pm and revealed what happened to Victoria during the big night out – she befriended a man who she then spent the evening with. They got food together before heading back to the village so that he could make sure she got safely home. But once at her front door he pressured his way inside.
Victoria later asked him to leave so he promised to call a cab, but it transpired he’d lied. She demanded he call one again, then left him to get herself ready for bed. But as she did so he appeared in the doorway and staged a brutal attack.
The harrowing scenes also featured Victoria’s screams being heard through the closed bedroom door.
It was inevitable complaints would be lodged being pre-watershed as such hard hitting storylines often do, however, a warning was shown to viewers before it aired.
Though there have been complaints, it doesn’t automatically mean grounds for an investigation and Ofcom are currently establishing whether the matter needs taking further.
An Ofcom spokesperson told metro.co.uk: ‘We are assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.’
A spokesperson for Emmerdale told metro.co.uk: ‘This episode was fully complied in line with the broadcasting code and was clearly signposted pre transmission.
‘Victoria’s story may at times be uncomfortable to watch, but ITV has always tackled hard hitting and true to life storylines head on. In doing so, we hope it allows people who may be similarly affected to come forward and speak out.’
Tonight will see the aftermath of Victoria’s admission about the rape to Moira as Moira desperately tries to help her come to terms with her harrowing ordeal.
Will she be able to convince her to go to the police?

Louise Mitchell’s (Tilly Keeper) baby bombshell wasn’t the only massive news to hit her in tonight’s EastEnders.
Just at the point where she was suddenly faced with a whole different future laid out in front of her to the one she had planned, she learned that the person she trusted the most had betrayed her in the most painful way.
She learned she was pregnant while with Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield), who told her she needed to speak to Keanu (Danny Walters). She did as she was told, taking Keanu to one side and blurting it all out at him, telling him to think about what he wanted and if he wanted to be involved before running away.
A shocked Keanu was then given the cold hard truth by his mum that he’d be linked to the Mitchells forever and would have to decide whether he wanted to go up against them while raising his child.
Keanu was later called in by Phil to discuss a new job and knowing what he knew, he decided he couldn’t help Phil out – both because of the fact he is about to be a father and the fact it would probably involve trafficking.
But as Keanu told Phil he didn’t want to go ahead with the job and that he and Louise are now an item, Louise was on her way over. She arrived just at the moment when Phil dished out the most harrowing truth.
Phil reminded Keanu that he and Louise were only together because he had been paid by her own dad to date her. Louise was clearly horrified at the revelation. What will this mean for her and her baby’s future?
Walford is getting a new face in the form of legendary actor Ade Edmondson, who’s joining EastEnders as a brand new love interest for Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
Ade will play Daniel Cook and he’s already begun filming, with scenes due to air in summer. This may give hope for fans over Jean’s cancer storyline, as this means we know she will at least still be in the show for the next few months.
Daniel is said to have a ‘wicked sense of humour’, the light against the shade that is Jean’s battle with ovarian cancer.
At first, Jean is unsure about Daniel but as he offers his support in his own unique way, Jean warms to him and the pair strike up a bond.
It’s about time Jean had some happier storylines, having also recently been the centre of an attempted suicide plot with her son Sean Slater (Rob Kazinsky).
Ade is excited about joining the soap, seeing it as a right of passage as an actor.
He said: ‘There were only fifteen boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and I’ll be the third to appear in EastEnders – so I feel it’s a kind of tradition! The other two being Tom Watt (Lofty Holloway) and Paul Bradley (Nigel Bates).’
Exec producer Jon Sen added: ‘Adrian’s a phenomenal talent who will bring his unique blend of intelligence, warmth and humour to the role of Daniel. We’re all over the moon he’s coming to Walford and can’t wait for this love story to hit screens later this year.’

Comedy actor Adrian Edmonson is set to become the newest addition to the EastEnders cast when he joins Walford later this year.
He is most well known for his roles in Bottom and The Young Ones, but 62-year-old has taken on a few more serious roles in recent years.
In 2016 he took the role of Count Ilya Rostov in the BBC’s adaptation of War and Peace, and he also played Peter Elliot in the drama One of Us.
Speaking about his new role on the soap, Adrian said: ‘There were only fifteen boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and I’ll be the third to appear in EastEnders – so I feel it’s a kind of tradition!’
Here is everything that you need to know about Adrian’s new character and when you can expect to see him on screen.
Who is Adrian Edmonson going to play In EastEnders?
Adrian will be playing the role of Daniel Cook in the soap, and he will be introduced as a love interest of Jean Slater.
The two of them will meet while Jean continues her treatment for ovarian cancer, and his support helps her get through such a difficult time in her life.
They are set to form a strong connection to each other thanks to his charm and sense of humour.
Jean has had a difficult few weeks after her cancer diagnosis, but she has since been able to bond with her son Sean, and Daniel’s arrival looks set to give extra support.
Jon Sen, executive Producer for EastEnders described Adrian as a phenomenal talent and said: ‘We’re all over the moon he’s coming to Walford and can’t wait for this love story to hit screens later this year.’
An exact air date for his first episode on EastEnders hasn’t been given yet, but we do know that he has already started filming and is expected to appear later this summer.
What a harrowing couple of episodes from tonight’s Emmerdale – one strand following Victoria Barton’s (Isabel Hodgins) heartbreaking revelation of her rape ordeal, and the other of David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) learning how his son had been abused by his girlfriend Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) behind his back.
And now that David knows, he wants to take matters into his own hands.
In heartbreaking scenes, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi), Tracy (Amy Walsh) and Priya (Fiona Wade), tried to make an unwilling Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) realise he’d been the victim of abuse, and that what Maya had done was abhorrent. As he refused to believe the truth due to her intense grooming and brainwashing, they discovered he was loaded with cash and Maya’s passport with a plan to go on the run. So they forced him to come clean with David.
‘Me and Maya are getting as far away from here as we can,’ he told them.
So they confronted David with the truth, who completely refused to believe what he was being told. Instead, he thought they were trying to tell him Jacob just had a school boy crush.
‘She’s my girlfriend,’ Jacob said trying to get through, as he told his dad he and Maya had been having sex.
Becoming emotional, David said he thought he must have been a victim of a prank, but Jacob assured him he loved Maya, and Tracy explained Jacob was planning to do a runner with her.
Slowly, it began to sink in. David realised that the moments Jacob had been walking around topless at home had been for Maya’s benefit.
‘All those times you made her have sex, I was cringing,’ Jacob viciously hit back.
‘Made her? Oh Jacob, you haven’t got a clue,’ David said as the teen was still completely oblivious to the lengths and depths of Maya’s manipulation.
Leyla branded Maya a paedophile, which hit a nerve with the teen.
But as David broke down, he blamed himself, saying that he’d moved Maya into their house and that he’d been so unaware of what was going on. Leyla told him of just how far Maya went, waiting until Jacob was exactly 16 before they started having sex. But as he and Leyla spoke, Jacob ran, and caught the bus to see Maya.
‘If she’s hurt him I’m the one to blame,’ David said as he resolved not to go to the police.
Instead, he seemed to want to take matters into his own hands.
He called Maya, who for once decided to answer.
‘Give me back my son,’ David seethed, clearly ready for a fight.
David will now be hellbent on revenge against the pervert school teacher, fueled by his own sense of blame. How far will he go to avenge what’s happened to his son? Could he kill her through his rage?

In one of the most upsetting and important episodes from Emmerdale, Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) revealed the heartbreaking truth of her rape ordeal to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
The episode was a hugely important look at consent and when no means no – particularly when it’s not necessarily overtly been said.
Victoria very clearly blamed herself and told Moira she couldn’t go to the police because she knew ‘how it looked’. She’d walked home with him willingly, albeit after being booted out of a taxi, and she’d let him into her house.
She’d allowed him in after saying no and after he manipulated her into agreeing to make him a cup of tea, so she felt that no one would believe the truth.
He also sent her a text the next say saying it had been ‘fun’ to cover his own back over what had happened.
‘You don’t have any responsibility for this,’ Moira tried so hard to reassure her as they both broke down in tears.
But Victoria told Moira that she’d been asking for it because she had really liked him and ‘maybe he could tell how desperate I was for a boyfriend, that I was sick of being single.’
‘I’d known him for give minutes and I let him walk me home,’ she said. But Moira strongly argued how she had not been ‘asking for it’ for one single second. She had been brutally attacked, there was no two ways about it.
(Picture: ITV)
Vic spoke of how Lee, played by Kris Mochrie, clearly hadn’t understood the situation, perhaps even not believing he’d done anything wrong. She told Moira how after he’d raped her he’d taken his time to get up, dressed and leave. He later text as if it was a normal hook up.
But as Moira tried to convince her to go to the police she refused. She’d also confessed to having destroyed all of the bedding and clothes involved in that night in a bid to get him out of her life.
Then, at the last minute, as it seemed like Victoria had resolved to carry on with the burden alone, she confronted her own fear of him coming back to do it again. She realised he knew where she lived and if he believed nothing terrible had happened, he could easily come back for a fresh attack.
‘If I did go to the police, would you be there for me?’ she begged Moira as she broke down and the two women hugged.
The moment was heart-wrenching and beautifully portrayed, and is a huge step forward in Victoria surviving her terrifying ordeal.
Will she now get the justice she so rightly deserves?

There is not one single question about whether or not it was rape – in a different way to how it was portrayed by EastEnders with Ruby Allen as it was deliberately left ambiguous to raise the question who was at fault (of course it was still 100% the rapists and Ross and Matt got their justice), in Emmerdale, viewers saw pretty much exactly what happened to Victoria.
This was hugely important – there is never any question about whether or not this was rape. But could it be in the future? Victoria destroyed evidence from that night and unfortunately didn’t have an examination as soon as possible meaning crucial DNA evidence may have been lost. So could she could struggle to be believed, even though viewers know with absolute certainty what happened that night. And this is what is so important about these scenes.
The scenes themselves were nothing short of traumatic, showing the brutal reality of rape, and this of course garnered complaints to Ofcom. Not many, it should be noted, but still. Some were angry it was aired before the watershed, others upset at the content of the scenes. It’s once again Emmerdale showing it’s not afraid to show the truth and if we’re being made to feel uncomfortable, they are doing it right.
Soaps have long been a platform for this kind of storyline and while many might be angry it was unsuitable to have been watching with young children, it is to be expected from a show like this. One person complained it upset their five-year-old. These shows have never been suitable for such a young age.
It should also be noted that the show aired a warning before it was aired, and a spokesperson explained how the show had carefully adhered to guidelines.
The issue of rape and consent has been done many times before, but Emmerdale should be applauded for their stance on it this time around. Nothing was held back, the scenes were truly gut-wrenchingly harrowing, to give even one millionth of a sense of what it would have actually been like. The scenes where Victoria told Moira the truth were just as horrifying. Absolute props to Isabel for her performance. The emotion was painfully raw and we were all with her in that moment where she blamed herself. Natalie J Robb’s sensitivity and Moira’s own struggle with emotions showcased her pure talent. But the crux of the issue was Victoria feeling she wouldn’t be believed, and that is a very real issue facing rape survivors today.
(Picture: ITV)
With regards to it being shown early, there is another important factor behind this – to reach a far and wide audience in a bid to raise as much awareness as possible – particularly for younger women who could find themselves in the same situation as Victoria, who innocently invited a man in for a cup of tea which resulted in ramifications that will affect her for the rest of her life.
Her feeling that no one would believe her was also powerful and important – it’s the first thought of most rape survivors I should imagine, particularly when the attacker is either someone they know or, like in Victoria’s case, she feels people will believe she ‘led him on’.
‘I know he raped me, but I also know how it looks,’ she said. She’d destroyed evidence from that night in a bid to erase him from her life, but that could prove crucial following her decision to go to the police.
Let’s just be clear – there is no such thing as being led on. At all. Full stop. Even if the word ‘no’ hasn’t been explicitly said. If a woman hasn’t made it abundantly, unequivocally crystal clear she wants to have sex, wouldn’t the best thing to be to assume she doesn’t?
In Victoria’s case she made it quite clear she wanted him to leave. Allowing him in for a cup of tea was a tiny moment of letting her guard down but equally was not her ‘leading him on’ or ‘asking to be raped’ – she was being kind. Kind-hearted women are often preyed on, they can be afraid to be rude when put on the spot, or even don’t see the harm in being nice.
Consent is of course once again the huge issue here – and Victoria made her feelings very clear. She wanted him to leave her house and go home. The moment she let him in she had no intention of sleeping with him. She made no indication she wanted to and was very adamant she wanted him to go home.
The fact he even said ‘stop pretending like you don’t want this too’ is so key. GUYS – if a girl EVER seems like she’s ‘pretending not to want it’ then she most likely does not want it. It’s not pretend, or playing hard to get, that in itself is a no.
(Picture: ITV)
These episodes are so important in raising awareness of the issue of consent. Hopefully it will also help women realise the small ways to protect themselves. We shouldn’t have to consider everyone around us to be sexual predators, but doing small things to be aware will go a long way to help. There were heartbreaking moments throughout the flashback episode where things could have turned out very differently – if she hadn’t got into the taxi with him, if she’d accepted Robert’s lift home, if she had stuck to her guns at the doorstep. No one can blame her for a second over what happened. She did absolutely nothing wrong. They are all decisions any one of us would have made.
But it was his behaviour that women can be aware of – he manipulated her, took advantage of her being a kind person, led her into thinking certain decisions – like going for another drink – were her ideas. He played the nice guy to trap her and it’s those signs that are so key to be on watch for.
Congrats to Isabel for this huge performance, no doubt we’ll really see her acting chops over the next few weeks, I truly hope that complainers of these episodes are ignored and the scenes are taken for how they’re intended, drawing awareness to a very real and very frightening issue that should always be at the forefront of conversation. No means no, no matter what.

The gloves are off and the war is on for Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and Max Branning (Jake Wood) in EastEnders – and it’s going to be a messy battle as they struggle for ownership of the car lot land.
Ben has been winding Rainie (Tanya Franks) up and even arranged for the cars on the lot to be stolen only to be left miffed when her insurance covered the loss. But now that Ben has pointed out to Jay (Jamie Borthwick) that he still technically owns the land for the car lot, he encourages him to take the fight to Max.
Jay is initially reluctant to get involved with something that will be so messy but Ben manages to manipulate him, despite Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) being unsure that he should be crossing swords with Max.
(Picture: BBC)
As Ben and Jay arrive at the car lot and brandish paperwork under Max’s nose, he is clearly unsettled and it becomes evident that he is worried, leaving Rainie gobsmacked that they could lose their business.
Will Max fold and give Ben and Jay what they want? Or is the start of a whole new Walford feud?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday 10th May at 8pm on BBC One.
Hollyoaks star Gregory Finnegan has warned that his character James Nightingale and his partner Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) might struggle to get their relationship back on track after it is tested yet again.
While James has been away on business, Harry has been sneaking around and secretly texting, and generally acting suspiciously.
Things get worse for him after he ends up a prime suspect when his stolen car gets involved in a horrific crime, but after telling police it never went missing he looks shiftier than ever.
James suspects Harry is keeping something secret, and Gregory warned that they could split up if his character finds out his trust has been betrayed.
‘James needs to trust him,’ Gregory said, ‘especially given the way that they began. If that trust is betrayed it could be a problem.’
Speaking of James’ reaction to Harry’s arrest, the actor added: ‘He’s shocked. He can’t work out what’s going on and can’t believe more drama is headed their way.
‘Their relationship is new. They are in love but have had a tough start so they are trying to work out the settled home life works!’
Gregory explained that James hopes Harry isn’t being secretive because he’s cheating, but ‘Harry doesn’t have the best track record’.
Harry Thompson finds himself in serious trouble in Hollyoaks (Picture: Channel 4)
Harry Thompson finds himself in a serious spot of bother next week, as he gets arrested after a horror car crash.
The student, played by Parry Glasspool, is the prime suspect in a hit and run, despite not even getting behind the wheel.
It all kicks off when Mercedes McQueen finds herself in a tough spot and debating whether to turn to drugs, before pal Liam Donovan convinces her to go for a joyride in Harry’s car, which is parked in the village.
Mercedes doesn’t need much convincing and gets into the driver’s seat. But an innocent drive is never really that innocent in Hollyoaks, as Liam eventually finds the drugs, and a tug-of-war ensues, distracting them both from the road.
It doesn’t end well, as they eventually crash into roadworks, and straight into unsuspecting victim.
As a panicked Liam gets out to check for damage, he spots a shoe on the ground – before running back to the car and lying to Mercedes, insisting there was nothing there.
They speed away, leaving the shoe – and the owner – behind.
Mercedes McQueen was behind the wheel (Picture: Hollyoaks)
But who have they hit and left for dead…?
Harry is none-the-wiser, but still acting shifty himself as he secretly texts someone to meet up, armed with a wad of James’ cash – despite his boyfriend being away on a business trip.
While on the secretive meeting, he notices his car is missing and files a police report, later asking Romeo to come and look for it – and when they eventually find it unharmed in the village, he thinks nothing of it.
However, things take a turn when the police arrive at his doorstep, asking all kinds of questions about the car.
A clueless Harry insists there is no funny business, vowing he reported it as missing but simply forgot where he put it. Attempting to justify the scene only makes things worse, as the officers arrest him, making him prime suspect in a horrific crime.
Will Mercedes and Liam come forward, who exactly did they hit, and could the ordeal send Mercedes seeking comfort in drugs?
Hollyoaks continues on weeknights, at 6:30pm, on Channel 4, with the next episode airing on E4 straight after.

Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) has had her hands full in EastEnders as of late — what with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) having returned home with Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) and daughter Lexi in tow — but now she’s set to receive life-altering news.
Having been with EastEnders since its very first episode, Kathy has been at the centre of the some of the soap’s most dramatic storylines. From her challenging relationship with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), to her rape at the hands of former employee James Willmott-Brown (William Boyd) — not to mention all that stuff with Gavin Sullivan (Paul Nicholas) — it’s safe to assume that the owner of the Bridge Street café has had her fill of drama.
However, with Ben back on the Square, there has been drama aplenty for Kathy as of late, and it looks like there’s plenty more ahead for her too. In the coming episodes, she books an appointment at Fox & Hair with Chantelle (Jessica Plummer). Unfortunately for Kathy, Kim (Tameka Empson) is forced to step in last minute!
During this appointment, they discuss Kathy’s necklace, and insist that — due to how authentic it looks — it must the be the real deal.
Afterwards, she receives information that could change her life forever.
Viewers know that the necklace in question was one of the items stolen as part of the 2018 heist — which was organised by the villainous Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin) on New Year’s Day.
Before departing from Albert Square, Ben — then portrayed by Harry Reid — gave it to his mum as a gift.
With the conversation about the necklace’s worth no doubt weighing on her mind, has Kathy perhaps learned the truth about how the item came into her possession?
One to watch: Tuesday 14th May at 7:30pm on BBC One.
As Carla Connor (Alison King) is set to return to Coronation Street after Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) desperate search for her, Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) is determined to keep the two apart.
Peter has made himself ill searching for Carla, and Ken is now determined to protect his son. But at what cost?
Carla returns after Roy (David Neilson) tracks her down to a hotel room and is shocked at the state he finds it in. Carla later turns up at his house and gives him the shock of his life as he encourages her to seek medical attention.
Carla is put on anti-psychotic medication and released, and Peter tells Ken he wants to move her into number 1. Ken puts his foot down and says she’s not welcome; Peter can hardly look after himself, let alone anyone else.
Ken is later furious to discover Peter has made other arrangements as he won’t be separated from the woman he loves when she needs him so badly – he’ll move into Roy’s to be with her.
(picture: ITV)
Peter and Michelle (Kym Marsh) collect Carla from the hospital and explain to her they’re taking her back to Roy’s, and that Peter will be there too.
But she refuses to be around Roy, and the café owner resolves to move out so that he doesn’t cause her more distress.
Ken offers him a room, leaving Carla and Peter to live alone in their respective fragile states. Are they strong enough to be alone? Has Ken’s plan massively backfired?
Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) has been left terrified by her stalker in Emmerdale, who was recently revealed to viewers as Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), her vengeful ex. But though Harriet is terrified, she has no idea what he has in store for her.
She’s just come to learn that he’s alive – until recently, as far as she was concerned she helped send him to prison and believed he died there. But her copper mate did some digging and discovered the truth.
So far Will’s tactics have been somewhat mild, with the heavy breathing phone calls, locking the church door on her, flooding the church hall, but things are set to take a dramatic twist when the two come face to face and Will plots her death – with a coffin!
When asked how far Will could take his revenge, actor Dean Andrews admitted he is a loose cannon and is preparing to kill the vicar after she broke his heart.
‘I just think he wants revenge. I don’t think he knows how far he wants to go when he starts all this, he just wants to scare the living daylights out of her and somehow get his revenge, but I don’t know how far he is willing to go,’ Dean told metro.co.uk.
(Picture: ITV)
‘As I am playing it I am trying to think that he would maybe go all the way.’
Will is set to take things to the extreme as Dean confessed ‘he’s dangerous’ – which becomes evident when he tries to crush Harriet with a coffin.
‘There is a coffin involved, yes!’ Dean teased. ‘He does all kinds of things just to freak her out. He does an order of service, as if she’s going to die, so he gets the coffin ready for her. It’s that kind of thing psychologically. But maybe he wants to kill her?’
But with there being such a fine line between love and hate – and with it being a soap after all – if Harriet is allowed to live, could they rekindle the romance they once had when she was under cover?
Dean said Will won’t fully know how to act on his revenge until he has Harriet right in front of him.
‘It’s that point where you never quite know until that person’s right in front of you,’ he said. ‘I suppose we’ve all had a relationship where one moment you’re like, “I can’t stand you”, and next moment you’re back in love.
‘I guess that is quite a jump from jail. But it is Emmerdale! I don’t know. I don’t know until that moment arrives. I don’t want him to be awful all the time.’
Fingers crossed Harriet survives long enough for Will to figure it out!
Tragedy is never far away in the world of soap and the coming week is no different as the Taylor family are ripped apart by death in EastEnders while Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) admits to her family that she is going to die in Emmerdale.
Over in Coronation Street, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) stares death in the face when he is embroiled in an armed robbery while Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) isn’t having much better luck when she is involved in a car crash.
In other big soap developments, there’s a haunting return, a violent attack, a dangerous situation, a heartbreaking decision, a passionate encounter, a surprise talent, a murder plot and an exit decision.

Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) has a heartbreaking decision to make after learning the truth about Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in EastEnders.
Louise was horrified to learn that she was pregnant when pal Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) made her take a test, and she realised she had to tell Keanu.
She bravely sat him down in the Square and gave him the news, but instead of letting him respond she told him to think about whether or not he wanted to be involved, and then scarpered.
Keanu was left with the weight on his mind, and went to see his mum, who gave him some home truths.
He was later called to see Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to do another job, but with the knowledge he’s about to become a father, Keanu realised he couldn’t get mixed up in something as dark as human trafficking for the sake of some extra dosh.
As he turned Phil down, Phil reminded him that he was on his payroll, and that the only reason he and Louise were together was because Phil had been paying him to be with her.
Unfortunately for the dad-to-be, Louise heard every word having come to the Arches to have a full discussion about their baby.
The teen was distraught at what she heard and ran away before Keanu realised she was there.
Tonight will see the aftermath of Phil’s cold words as a frightened Louise considers her future. Does she want to be tied to someone who’d betray her so painfully for the rest of her life?
With Bex’s support, Louise decides what to do next. What will she do?
In the latest episode, Jacob was seen revealing the truth to his distraught dad David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) that he’d been sleeping with Maya for weeks and in a relationship for even longer.
David struggled to accept the news, lashing out by saying Jacob must just have a school boy crush, but as it sank in he began to blame himself for not seeing the signs.
As he broke down, Jacob ran, heading to the bus stop to take Maya her money and passport.
The storyline has played out for months and has garnered criticisim for being such a slow burn. However, Roxy has argued how important it has been to get such a sensitive storyline right, and how important it is to see Jacob as a victim.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly about viewer reactions, she said: ‘To be honest I think what’s so good about this storyline, often it seems almost normal unfortunately for young girls to be taken advantage of, but young boys being taken advantage of by older women often it can be made a joke of.
(Picture: ITV)
‘I think seeing this story, and the fact they invested so long in the grooming, it allows people to see how he’s been taken a vantage of. He’s still a victim.’
She added that as she and Joe-Warren Plant have worked together since he was seven-years-old she was able to tap into real emotions when confronting Maya about what she’d done.
‘Having a storyline where you feel he’s been taken advantage of, it’s helped me to play the difficult scenes because the love you feel is there,’ she told Lorraine. ‘You can’t help but feel naturally protective of him.’
Roxy revealed that the nature of the scenes has often been difficult to film, so she has turned to yoga to de-stress and clear her mind.
‘We’ve all got so much going on so taking time, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day to breathe and centre – it gives your brain a break,’ she said.
Tonight sees the continuation of the story as David realises he needs to find his son before Maya harms him further. Will they be able to track Jacob down?
Emmerdale’s Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) is preparing to face what comes next now that she has revealed to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) about being brutally raped in her own home.
In tense and upsetting scenes, Victoria revealed the whole disturbing truth of what happened, and shared her fears at not being believed.
She had resigned herself to having to just ‘crack on’ and forget about it, but she had clearly been left in such a bad way that Moira knew something had to be done.
Despite Victoria turning on Moira through her hurt and anger, Moira stuck by her and gently convinced her that the right thing to do would be to go to the police.
In a touching moment between the two women, Victoria broke down and agreed to give a statement if Moira promised to be by her side.
Tonight will see Victoria start to face up to what’s happened, and while she’s grateful to Moira for her help, she is now filled with dread as to what lies ahead.
Will Victoria get the justice she deserves? Unfortunately, she had been left so traumatised by the incident that she got rid of all bedding and clothing from that night, which could have contained vital DNA. She also didn’t have an examination for evidence either.
Could she now struggle in her fight to get him to pay for what he’s done? Could she even be forced to take matters into her own hands to get revenge?
Hollyoaks is set to revamp its opening titles for the first time in three years, the soap’s boss has exclusively revealed to Metro.co.uk. At the moment, the show opens with a jubilant fairground ride and includes all of the main characters in different settings around the village, with Jennifer Metcalfe as Mercedes McQueen finishing off the sequence in a dazzling red dress.
However, Bryan Kirkwood has confirmed that brand new titles will launch from Monday 13th May, telling Metro.co.uk exclusively: ‘We have a brand new refresh to the titles coming up which I know the fans will love. We are constantly listening to what the fans like and enjoy and what they want to see more or less of. The new titles, which are the first proper overhaul in three years are full of joy with just the right level of camp and I can’t wait for people to see them. They launch on Monday so look out for those.’
Bryan told us: ‘This summer is the summer of Breda, our cuddly serial killer – our two biggest shocks of the year tie in with this storyline as Breda is forced to make some seriously scary decisions across summer. She will take some terrible with some of our bigger characters and the twists are absolutely huge.
‘We will also see Maxine’s lies start to unravel in our Munchausen’s plotline which has been inspired by true stories – she wants to do everything to create and keep that family unit she has always craved. This is the best material Nikki Sanderson has had in years and there will be several peaks to Maxine’s storyline over the year.
‘And, finally, in breaking with tradition, we won’t be sending a bunch of our cast over to a Spanish island this year but instead, a group of characters will attend a British music festival for some joyous, real life echoing experiences with some real life and vibrancy which many of our audience should be able to relate to!’
