Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has been left speechless in Coronation Street by a visitor who revealed to her that she is an ex of her monstrous husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) – and she too was abused by him.
Geoff recently assured Yasmeen that he was a changed man and things would be different when they reunited – with Yasmeen telling cellmate Lucie (Nicola Duffett) that he has finally accepted that he needs help.
While everyone else doubts Geoff’s intentions, Yasmeen is secretly hopeful that things can be better when she emerges from prison, especially with him having withdrawn his statement against her.
Smug Geoff even took to his hospital radio show to further share his claims of being the victim – and, trying to be a hero, he smarmed how he is prepared to ‘forgive’ his wife for what happened.
Awfully big of you, Geoff.
Yasmeen agreed to meet somebody from a woman’s charity but she came face to face with a lady called Elaine (Paula Wilcox), who told Yasmeen she knew exactly what she was going through.
Yasmeen was instantly on her guard but Elaine bravely told her that she was with Geoff for many years – and he had made her life hell.
Will Yasmeen hear her out and realise that Geoff can never change? And might Elaine be the person who came help free Yasmeen from both her prisons – her cell and her horrific marriage?

Brian (Peter Gunn) isn’t pleased when he discovers that Bernie (Jane Hazelgrove) found a watch in the woods, and subsequently sold it to Sarah for £50 — without splitting the cash with him!
Later, an apologetic Gary heads over to speak to Brian and Cathy (Melanie Hill), and he’s left in shock as he learns of Bernie’s discovery and sale.
(Picture: ITV)
Desperate to rectify the situation and save himself before it’s too late, the builder-turned-loan-shark-turned-antiques-dealer gives Bernie a wad of cash and begs her to acquire the watch from Sarah — making up a story about how he thinks it would make a great gift for his dad’s birthday.
Bernie does her best to talk Sarah into selling the watch — offering her double what she paid for it.
However, once Sarah realises that it’s Gary who’s desperate for the item, her interest is piqued and therefore refuses to sell it.
Intrigued, she heads over to speak to him — demanding to know if he killed Rick.
(Picture: ITV)
How will Gary react?
Sarah takes matters into her own hands, as she heads over to the boot and opens it up — and she finds a shovel, latex gloves and a bag.
Left with no other choice, Gary comes clean, and thus tells Sarah that he did it, but confirms that he did so to save her and the kids, before revealing that he’s never stopped loving her!
A terrified Sarah hightails its out of there, running away from Gary as she dials 999. However, she ends up running into the path of a delivery van, and Gary pushes her out of the way in an effort to save her.
(Picture: ITV)
However, he ends up getting hit by the van and ends up out cold on the cobbles.
Sarah is shocked by what has transpired, and pleads with Gary to wake up, as Tyrone (Alan Halsall) — who’d witnessed the whole thing unfold — phones for an ambulance.
Adam (Sam Robertson) and Maria (Samia Longchambon) arrive at the hospital, and Sarah describes how she was on her phone and Gary stepped out in front of her to save her life.
However, Tyrone reveals that he saw Sarah running from Gary, who was seemingly chasing her, prior to the accident.
Adam suspects there is more to this story than meets the eye, but the question is: will Gary live to tell the tale?
Or will he die?
What’s more, will Sarah come clean and reveal that she knows Gary killed Rick?

With Moira having come round following the operation, the chemistry that is so evidently between them is on display once more.

As she tries to remember, both she and Cain grow closer, but their moment is interrupted by Matty (Ash Palmisciano).
Moira’s attention is then soon diverted elsewhere when her son accidentally lets slip about Rhona’s (Zoe Henry) alliance with Nate (Jurell Carter), and it’s safe to say she’s fuming.
She wants action taken immediately, but Cain intervenes, and suggests they try a different approach.
The question is: just what has he got in mind?
What’s more, will Moira listen to his advice?
Additionally, will both she and Cain admit that they’ve still got feelings for one another?
So many questions!

A special series — presented by Stacey Dooley — entitled Secrets From The Square has been airing on Monday nights, and it features in depth interviews with various cast members.
The Tuesday slot has been filled with iconic episodes of the BBC One serial drama — with Sharongate, and the game-changing Den (Leslie Grantham) and Angie (Anita Dobson) two-hander the first two that re-aired.
Tonight, we’re revisiting one of the soap’s most infamous showdowns — and rivalries, for that matter — as we head back to 1998 to witness Pat and Peggy face off.
With a tense atmosphere and animosity in the air, the stage is set for the ultimate showdown between two of soap’s greatest ever characters.
Peggy believes that Pat and Frank (Mike Reid) are having an affair behind her and Roy’s (Tony Caunter) back.
In addition to being one of the greatest episodes the serial drama has to offer, this one also gave birth to Peggy and Pat’s signature dialogue exchange — ‘You bitch’, followed by ‘You cow!’ — which was utilised on a number of occasions.

When Bea’s son Phoenix (Joshua Glenister) turns up demanding answers about his mother’s death, Kian tries to keep his composure – but as the stresses of the day pile up, Kian is driven to some desperate and shocking behaviour that has terrible consequences.
As Essie (Kaye Wragg) tries to come to terms with her terminal cancer diagnosis she’s looking for some comfort – and it arrives in the form of an appearance by her dead husband Raf (Joe McFadden). It’s a beautiful and poignant storyline, as Raf helps Essie to see what – and who – is most important in her life.
Ric (Hugh Quarshie)’s on the warpath as he’s convinced that Guy Self (John Michie) is drinking again after seeing him pay for a glass of wine in Albie’s the night before. But did Selfie drink the wine that Donna (Jaye Jacobs) left untouched? Has he fallen off the wagon?
His rough appearance suggests that he possibly has, though as usual he’s determined to prove his competence in theatre. As the pressure mounts, can he rely on Max (Jo Martin)’s support, or will Ric succeed in getting rid of Selfie for good?
And there seems to be romance brewing between Louis (Tyler Luke Cunningham) and Nicky (Belinda Owusu) – but he’s nervous about taking things further.

Coronation Street and EastEnders star Michelle Collins has found herself at the centre of a Twitter storm after users hit out at her for sharing a picture of a homeless man before tweeting that she had had to ‘step over him.’
Michelle, best known as dangerous Cndy Beale and landlady Stella Price, was attempting to highlight the severity of the homelessness situation in the UK.
She took a picture of a man sleeping rough and shared it with a tweet saying: ‘I’m not sure if this is voyeurism but I had to take this picture of a man in a sleeping bag in Highgate on the pavement (very affluent area) at 12.30.
‘He was fast asleep and I had to step over him. I felt quite disgusted that this is happening.’
Figures show there are around 280,000 homeless people in the UK, a figure charity Shelter says includes those in temporary accommodation.
It was clearly Michelle’s hope to raise awareness and share her sadness at the situation but some hit out to accuse her of being out of order for not doing anything to help the man.
(Picture: Michelle Collins/Twitter)
One user snapped: ‘Wow you stepped over him did you leave him any money, ring the council, see what can be done?’
Another added: ‘Wake him up with a coffee and a sandwich and slip him a fiver! Step over him…’
Others asked if she had thought to check whether he was alive. But others supported Michelle, pointing out it would be dangerous for her to do so.
A user in support of Michelle argued: ‘Some of the replies to this picture… Like you were meant to wake him up and have a chat when studies show six out of ten homeless people have a drug or alcohol dependency.
(Picture: Michelle Collins/Twitter)
‘You did the right thing, raise awareness with the council who can in turn contact people who can help.’
Michelle later defended herself, saying: ‘Why would I wake him up? Maybe if I was not alone I may have tried I just don’t know, it didn’t feel right or safe to do so.
‘The homeless situation is terribly worrying especially as now they are being released from hotels and back on streets.’
Expect fireworks in tonight’s classic EastEnders (Picture: BBC)
EastEnders is taking another trip down memory land tonight with another chance to see the iconic 1998 showdown between Pat Butcher (Pam St Clement) and Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor).
With a tense atmosphere and animosity in the air, the stage is set for the ultimate confrontation between two of Albert Square’s greatest ever characters – and it’s all because of Frank Butcher (Mike Reid) – as Peggy believes Frank and Pat are having an affair behind her and Roy (Tony Caunter)’s back.
The episode gave rise to the nigh legendary dialogue exchange between Pat and Peggy – ‘You bitch’, followed by ‘You cow!’ – which was utilised on a number of occasions following this episode.
But just what did happen between Pat, Peggy and Frank?
What happened between Pat, Peggy and Frank in EastEnders?
The Pat/Peggy/Frank love triangle is one of the most infamous in EastEnders history – giving rise to a rivalry between Pat and Peggy which even manifested itself in Peggy’s final episode, as Pat appeared from beyond the grave to Peggy prior to her taking her own life.
Frank and Pat went back a long way, before either of them appeared in the soap – soon after Frank’s arrival we learned he had had an affair with Pat after they met in 1959, but which came to an end when his then girlfriend June (later his wife) became pregnant.
The pair were reunited after June’s death, were married and took over the tenancy of the Queen Vic, with Frank opening a car lot on Albert Square.
Frank and Peggy were married in 1999 and ran the Queen Vic (Picture: BBC)
However, things went wrong after Pat – while running car firm PatCabs – accidentally knocked down and killed a teenage girl on Christmas Eve in 1992, subsequently being sentenced to six months in prison when she was found to be over the limit.
When she returned, it was to discover that Frank was facing financial ruin and asked Phil (Steve McFadden) to set fire to the car lot so he could claim the insurance – only for it to lead to the death of a homeless man who was sleeping there at the time, and leaving Frank depressed and unable to cope.
However Pat was his true love (Picture: BBC)
He left Walford, abandoning Pat, in 1994 – and she moved on with new love Roy Evans (Tony Caunter) – leading to a confrontation when Frank returned unexpectedly on Christmas Day 1995.
He continued to make sporadic appearances over the next few years and eventually moved on himself, sparking a romance with Peggy Mitchell – whom he married, with the pair taking over the running of the Queen Vic.
However Frank once again ends up sleeping with Pat while on holiday in Spain with Peggy and Roy (whom Pat had married by this point). Her attempts to end the affair failed after he later showed up on her doorstep naked except for a comedy bow tie (in one of the soap’s more memorable moments), and she realised she still had feelings for him.
The pair intended to elope – except Peggy found out about the affair before they had a chance to leave – humiliating Frank by reading his farewell letter to her out in front of an entire pub load of people.
She subsequently threw Frank out – and he fled Walford alone.

Upon discovering her chemotherapy treatment isn’t working she’ll search for answers from a comforting place – finding some solace in a vision of her late husband.
Which of course has all wondering: what happened to Raf again?
Frederik went on a shooting rampage through the hospital, killing Raf and injuring Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel), Oliver Valentine and Rosie Cranham, before he was shot dead by the police himself.
When he came across Raf, he opened fire and Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) was hit by the flying shrapnel.
It was Jac who was found injured and badly bleeding so staff remained oblivious to the fact that Raf was lying in a pool of blood nearby.
Once Jac’s life had been saved, Essie realised was horror that she hadn’t directly been shot and that someone else had.
By the time Raf was found, it was too late to save him.
Speaking about his Holby return, actor Joe McFadden said: ‘I’ll always look back on my four years on Holby with such fondness as it was one of the happiest jobs I’ve done and it was a real pleasure to get to wear Raf’s scrubs one last time in order to offer his wife Essie some guidance in such a touching episode.’
EastEnders fans pine over Dame Barbara Windsor as BBC airs Pat and Peggy episode (Picture: BBC)
EastEnders fans are missing Dame Barbara Windsor’s onscreen appearance after BBC aired that iconic Pat and Peggy episode.
The instalment, which first landed on our screens back in 1998, sees the duo fight it out over Frank Butcher (Mike Reid) after Pam St Clement’s Pat is accused of having an affair.
While she’s adamant that she slept on the sofa, Peggy (Windsor) is not convinced and tortures her over the rumours.
The tension leads to the ultimate showdown between the pair and ultimately trademarks their iconic ‘You b***h, You cow!’ moment as they launch into a furious row over the dining room table.
A classic episode that joins a long list of vintage instalments which have been broadcast throughout coronavirus lockdown after the soap went off air for the first time ever.
Oh, Babs! (Picture: BBC)
And it has sure has made viewers pine over Babs, who left the show back in 2016.
‘I have missed #BarbaraWindsor in #EastEnders,’ one wrote on Twitter alongside a crying face emoji, while another said: ‘Miss Barbara Windsor she will always be amazing actress and her saying was get out of my pub love her to bits.’
Another felt the same, adding: ‘God how I miss Barbara Windsor & Pam St Clement on @bbceastenders #eastenders these frenemies were just the best!’
Know Iâve said it before, but the chemistry between Pam, Babs, Mike and Tony was unbeatable. Four absolute class acts at their prime here. A huge part of what made this the shows golden age. Itâs not been the same since Pam left. #EastEnders

It comes shortly after Dame Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell revealed his plans to move the icon into a care home following a marked decline in her health.
The star has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for six years, and it has taken its toll so much so the actress doesn’t recognise herself in old photos anymore.
Ross Kemp, who played her onscreen son, revealed the tragic news on Good Morning Britain after visiting his co-star at the beginning of lockdown.
He said: ‘The nature of the disease is that she initially knew exactly who I was and in three minutes she turned to me and asked me who I was. Three minutes.
‘So you know, she looks at the pictures of her, her in her heyday on the wall, fantastic pictures of her incredible career and she goes, “who’s that lady?” And that is heartbreaking.’

Holby City brought Essie’s late husband Raf Di Lucca (Joe McFadden) back from the dead for this episode, for some gentle, tender scenes as Essie (Kaye Wragg) searched for a way to deal with the terrible knowledge that she’s dying.
Obviously Raf has a perspective on this as he’s already dead, but the scenes weren’t written in a supernatural way.
This was a ‘ghost’ that Essie had conjured in her mind out of her need to find some meaning. ‘You obviously need something or you wouldn’t have thought of me,’ Raf said to her.
She said that what she really wanted was a cure, but that wasn’t in his gift to give. Instead, Essie achieved some peace within herself as Raf reminded her the point of everything was ‘loving and being loved.’ Rather sweetly, Raf understood that while he and Essie had loved each other, the real love of her life is Sacha (Bob Barrett).
Essie told an assembled group of her Holby family that she isn’t going to get better. Sadly and rather beautifully she told them to ‘Look after each other, forgive mistakes, find love wherever you can and live your wonderful lives.’ Later she remembered the words that Raf had left on her phone as he lay dying: ‘Love always wins.’
That’s got to hurt (Picture: BBC)
It was all very sad, though we did get to discover what Raf thought (or what Essie thought Raf would have thought) of the Memorial Lump that was erected in the garden in his memory. ‘Personally I’d have gone for something a tad less… actually, just less.’ He also joked that Essie wouldn’t get a memorial because the place was getting a bit crammed with memorials. But she’ll never be forgotten.
Up to Darwin now, and Kian (Ramin Karimloo) was back. I’m actually finding him a bit irritating as a character (while still loving Ramin as an actor) since he changed from being the nice guy who’s always snacking to the miserable guy who’s always wrestling with his demons.
And I was not cheering when Jac (Rosie Marcel) said she’d take him home to look after him as he recovered from his latest set of injuries, I do worry that he’s just an emotional drain and she’d be better off without him. Particularly as he’s back on his little illicit pills again.
The reason he needs to be looked after is that he got himself beaten up by Bea’s troubled son Phoenix (Joshua Glenister) after deliberately goading him. This was after various setbacks during the day had filled Kian with a large measure of the self-loathing that he specialises in these days. He could really do with a pep talk from the ghost of Raf Di Lucca.
Oh, bad luck! (Picture: BBC)
Also on Darwin for the day was Louis (Tyler Luke Cunningham), which gave him and Nicky (Belinda Owusu) plenty of opportunities for flirtatious banter.
Nicky’s patient Jill (Viss Elliot Safavi) spotted that there was chemistry between them and encouraged Louis to ask Nicky out. ‘I’m not the man she thinks I am,’ he worried, but plucked up the courage to ask her out anyway. She didn’t exactly say yes – she was due to be cooking at home for Cameron (Nic Jackman) and Chloe (Amy Lennox) – but she didn’t exactly say no, either.
And Ric (Hugh Quarshie) had his eagle eye on Selfie (John Michie) after spotting him with Donna (Jaye Jacobs)’s glass of wine in front of him at Albie’s the night before. ‘It’s your word against mine,’ Selfie said.
This was true, but Max (Jo Martin) believed Ric and confronted her ex. This made him get angry and he went and smashed a mirror in the toilets. That’s seven years bad luck plus a suspension.
He left the hospital with the standard box of stuff from his desk, which also included a bottle of something alcoholic that a patient had given him. He took this out to his car, had a quick glare at Ric and drove away. Is that the last we’ll see of him? I wouldn’t bet on it.

EastEnders is lining up a return for Paul Usher’s villain Danny Hardcastle as he seeks revenge on Ben and Phil Mitchell (Max Bowden and Steve McFadden).
The gangster was last scene in a confrontation with the pair when he trapped Phil and then deafened Ben with a gunshot.
Phil and Ben escaped but the torment isn’t over as the storyline will continue when EastEnders returns to our screens in early September.
With Danny having scores to settle, Ben and Phil have a battle on their hands – but how far is he prepared to go and can father and son unite to overcome their common enemy?
A source told Metro.co.uk: ‘Before production stopped, it had always been the case that this storyline had more legs and we haven’t scrapped it.
‘Danny is still very much a significant force for Phil and Ben to deal with and it was always the intention to continue this storyline.
‘Danny is a dangerous man – but perhaps he shouldn’t underestimate the Mitchells. Fans can expect some exciting scenes this autumn.’
It has previously been revealed that Ben has spent lockdown separately from soulmate Callum Highway (Tony Clay) – will Callum beable to support Ben through this latest battle?
Or will his standing as a police officer complicate things?
