Mason tries to reassure Raffy (Picture: Channel 5)

The teens of Summer Bay are currently facing trial exams for their HSC (high school level studies certificate), and Raffy (Olivia Deeble) is struggling with nerves after having to miss her CBD dose now that the medical trial has been cancelled. With no other medical trials nearby that she’s eligible for, the lack of funding available in the area means that Raffy has been left without a solution to manage her epilepsy.

On the morning of her exam, Raffy enters the Diner and confesses she’s nervous. Marilyn (Emily Symons), John (Shane Withington) and Roo (Georgie Parker) all reassure her that she’s eligible for special considerations, and Raffy covers up her nerves, but it’s clear that she’s still feeling the pressure.

Justin (James Stewart) notices her real feelings and takes her for a walk, but Raffy ends up lashing out at him, saying he doesn’t understand what she’s going through. However, Mason (Orpheus Pledger) shows up and diffuses the situation. Taking her into the Surf Club, he explains that the oil will still be in her system for another week, so she won’t have a seizure while the trials are happening.

Raffy arrives at school just in time for the exam, but Mason and Justin are stuck with the realisation that they only have a week to find a more permanent solution to her situation. Meanwhile, Raffy’s deep level of stress leads her to find it impossible to do the paper. The questions blur in front of her, and she starts to panic.

Roo removes Raffy from the exam room so she can calm down enough to go back in and finish the paper, but Raffy says there’s no point and breaks down in Roo’s arms. Roo takes her back to the Diner, where she, John and Marilyn reassure her they will start to set up special consideration. Will Raffy’s health continue to impact her education?

EastEnders viewers horrified by shocking domestic abuse scenes (Picture: BBC)

EastEnders viewers have been left horrified by harrowing domestic abuse scenes.

While we’ve already seen Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) pleading for mercy at the hands of her husband Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith), their marriage took on a whole new meaning of toxic in tonight’s episode.

After taking part in a hairdressing competition, Chantelle was running late for a meal with her hubby, and he didn’t take to the situation too kindly.

On returning home, he raged at his wife before lashing out, and fans of the show could not cope with what they were seeing.

Taking to Twitter, they applauded the actors for their performance, despite being left in tears after watching the brutal attack.

‘Chantelle’s husband actually makes me feel psychically sick!!!! Such a sad story line, hope they get rid soon,’ one said while another added: ‘I feel so sorry for her on #EastEnders she needs to leave him.’

Someone else commented: ‘Gray makes me want to throw up/ throw stuff at the wall. Chantelle GET OUT . What a brilliant actress #EastEnders is finally back on top of its game.’

And it seems others were in agreement: ‘The Chantelle and gray scenes are breathtaking.’

The abuse was brought on when Chantelle arrived home late following a hairdressing competition.

‘I’m really sorry, the competition went on longer than I expected. The meal looks amazing,’ she apologised to Gray.

Not accepting her words, he asked where she’d been: ‘You know where I was Gray, I was at the community centre. Don’t be mad, we can still have a nice evening.’

In an attempt to flee to her mum’s house, Gray then snatched her back indoors and threw his wife to the ground.

Gray was overjoyed about the baby news (Picture: BBC)

Smashing her hairdressing certificate in her face, he spat: ‘You make me do this.’

As she was thrown against the stairs, Chantelle desperately cried out: ‘I’m pregnant’ leading to Gray hugging her close whispering: ‘This is exactly what we needed, you know that right? Thank you. Thank you.

‘I’m going to be a dad again, I’m going to be a dad.’

Lee Carter in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Lee Carter is set to return to EastEnders later this year as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) struggles with an alcoholism battle. Acclaimed star Danny-Boy Hatchard will reprise his role as the troubled son of Linda and Mick (Danny Dyer) as he learns of what his family has been through.

Since Lee left, Mick has been incarcerated and Linda is set for a battle of her own but Lee will soon make a temporary return to try and support his family. Lee was at the centre of a hard hitting depression storyline that almost saw him take his own life.

He left Walford to seek help and fight his demon and it is understood that he will return in a healthier frame of mind to help his family through their upcoming struggles.

Viewers have seen Mick and Linda struggling with the increasing pressure on their family in recent months so they’ll be ecstatic to have their son back for a while. But, what exactly brings Lee back to Walford?

On reprising his role, Danny-Boy Hatchard commented: ‘The way things are going with the Carters at the minute, it makes total sense that Lee would return, even for a short stint. I will always be loyal to the Carter Clan and the show, and am very excited to be back on set with some immensely talented people whom I love dearly.’

Jon Sen (Executive Producer, EastEnders) added: ‘We are thrilled that Danny-Boy is returning to Walford to reprise the role of Lee Carter. Lee obviously left the Square under a cloud but now he returns to vanquish demons and help Mick and Linda as they struggle through their latest crisis.’

Danny-Boy will return to filming in the coming weeks, with his scenes airing later this year. Now we just have everything crossed for a more permanent return!

Next week, she will spend more and more time with Danny and Charity and Vanessa will discover that she is bunking off school to hang out with him.

As Danny appears to be exerting a negative influence over Sarah, Charity wades in all guns blazing and humiliates Sarah by giving her a dressing down in front of Danny. As Sarah lashes out at her, Charity realises that she may have handled things badly and sets out to try and make things up to Sarah.

But as they pair have a heart to heart, it becomes clear that Sarah sees no problem with her behaviour and is intent on spending more time with Danny. As Charity and Vanessa grow concerned by her attitude to life, should they be worried about what Danny is getting Sarah into?

Is she just rebelling or are there dangerous scenes ahead? Is Danny all that he seems or does he have sinister intentions towards her?

The 18-year-old star, youngest son of Denise Welch, will make his debut from 16 September, and while little is known about what he’s getting up to, we know Sarah needs to be careful.

He has previously tested out his acting skills in roles such as Vera and Scott and Bailey, but is following in mum and dad’s (Tim Healy) footsteps in soap, with both of them having previously appeared in Coronation Street.

The ghosts of Bobby’s past come back to haunt him (Picture: BBC)

Since being released from prison, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has been unable to confront his past in EastEnders and, in the coming episodes, the young lad takes drastic action as part of another attempt to do so — but could this action end up having deadly consequences?

Kathy’s (Gillian Taylforth) less than pleased to hear that Bobby will be staying with Max (Jake Wood), so she pleads with her grandson to reconsider — but he’s having none of it. However, when Jack (Scott Maslen) learns that Bobby’s planning on stopping with his brother, he soon puts an end to it — leaving Bobby upset, as he storms off once more.

Upon finding Bobby back at the Beale household, Kathy grows concerned when she realises how uneasy the young lad is.

He’s still hallucinating Lucy (Hetti Bywater) — but Kathy’s unaware of this fact, and thus she jumps to the wrong conclusion and makes matters worse, leaving Bobby furious with her.

Later, Bobby wakes up in a park and heads back to the Square. However, Callum (Tony Clay) spots him, and — concerned — checks to see if the young lad is okay — something which results in Bobby running off.

He bumps into Rainie (Tanya Franks), which results in more insults being thrown about between the pair — and it all gets too much for him.

With his anxiety and stress piling up, Bobby decides to confront his past once and for all, but he struggles to come to terms with everything that’s happened and, as a result, he finds himself in an incredibly dangerous situation.

Justin in the Surf Club
Justin desperately wants to help Raffy (Picture: Channel 5)

The sudden lack of CBD oil for Raffy’s (Olivia Deeble) condition has had an impact on all of the Morgans – particularly Justin (James Stewart), who feels like there’s nothing he can do for his little sister. Mason (Orpheus Pledger) notices him struggling in the surf and flags him down, wondering what’s up. Justin reveals that he’s worried about Raffy’s future, now she has no way of effectively managing her epilepsy.

Mason says that Raffy must be finding it hard, but she’s strong and will get through it. Leah (Ada Nicodemou) also believes this, but this doesn’t stop Justin from worrying. When Justin tries to reassure Raffy about her exams, she ends up lashing out at him, leaving him feeling even more impotent.

When Raffy ends up struggling with her exams, there’s little anyone can do to comfort her, and Justin fails to boost her spirits. He storms home and tells Mason he’s going to make Raffy’s CBD oil himself. A stunned Mason tries to get him to see sense, reminding him that he himself nearly faced jail for the same thing not too long ago, but Justin is desperate to do anything that could help Raffy.

Leah and Justin talk
Leah begs Justin not to make the CBD oil himself (Picture: Channel 5)

Mason heads to the Diner to tell Leah about Justin’s decision, and she goes to the house to find him researching CBD oil production. Ignoring Mason’s points about how he lacks the knowledge or experience to make it himself, he’s determined to try. He ignores Leah’s words about how he could get arrested and continues to research the process.

Leah tries to reason with Justin, telling him that there are other ways to help Raffy, but Justin’s emotions reach a head and he pushes her away. He blurts out that she’s as useless as he is and tells her to leave. As Leah walks away from the house, she’s left deeply worried about his state of mind. Is Justin about to break the law?

Robbo with Victor and the thugs
Robbo is beaten by thugs and questioned by Victor (Picture: Channel 5)

Robbo (Jake Ryan) and Jasmine (Sam Frost) have spent weeks under protection from the Feds as they try to work out what the killer gang behind the murder of Robbo’s old family want from him now, several years later. After a mysterious phone call to the motel the pair are staying in, where Robbo was instructed to meet them at the wharf the next morning, Robbo decides to head out on his own without telling Jasmine.

As he waits on the wharf the next day, we see him place a GPS tracker inside his shoe, so that the Feds can track his whereabouts. He sees a boat on the horizon, which has stopped moving towards him. Frustrated, he yells out at it, asking what they’re waiting for, causing the engine to fire up and the boat to race towards him.

A group of men get off the boat and tie Robbo up, refusing to answer any of his questions. One of them pats him down, immediately discovering the GPS tracker and throwing it overboard. Then they pull a bag over Robbo’s head and jet away with him.

Robbo abandoned by thugs
Robbo floats out to sea unconscious (Picture: Channel 5)

At a deserted cove, the thugs pull the bag off Robbo’s head and force him to his knees, where another man approaches him. Not recognising the newcomer, a confused Robbo asks who he is. The new man – Victor – tells Robbo that he’s the man who holds Robbo’s life in his hands. He says he was surprised to hear the famous Ryan Shaw is still alive, and has a new life – including a new wife.

Robbo struggles to remain calm, wanting to find out what Victor wants from him. Victor reveals that he wants to know where Dylan Carter (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) is, and Robbo says that he’s dead. However, Victor’s thugs react to this by punching him, and Victor tells Robbo to try again.

Victor and Robbo
Victor questions Robbo (Picture: Channel 5)

After taking a beating, Robbo says that after their altercation on the boat, Carter died at sea – but Victor doesn’t believe him, saying that he’s got a week to find Carter, or he’ll hurt Jasmine. An enraged Robbo tries to fight back, but he is beaten unconscious.

We then see Robbo passed out on a dinghy, tied up and floating out to sea. Is Robbo alive? And if he is, how will he save himself?

Who is Dylan Carter?

Dylan Carter was cast back in 2015 and played by Australian actor Jeremy Lindsay Taylor.

He first appeared on the show in 2016 as the former fiance of Kat Chapman (Pia Miller), who passed away in a deadly car crash while escaping the Bay with Robbo.

Dylan was in charge of the Charlotte King murder investigation, but incorrectly charged Zac MacGuire and got a judge to refuse him bail through blackmail.

He also developed a dangerous obsession with Kat, which led to terrifying scenes when he held her hostage with Ash and Billie.

In 2017, Kat was in danger when she prepared to give evidence against Dylan in court to support a police corruption investigation.

This is where Robbo comes in, as he was sent in to protect Kat on a mission as part of the Feds. However, Dylan got to him first, and the showdown on the boat is what caused Robbo’s amnesia.

Casualty spoilers: Autumn trailer reveals new trouble for Archie, Iain’s exit and more

Casualty Autumn trailer is finally here
Casualty Autumn trailer is finally here (Picture: BBC)

The Casualty autumn trailer is finally out and it’s no surprise that autumn at the ED is going to bring a lot of trouble to peoples doors. With Iain’s (Michael Stevenson) exit looming, new trouble for Archie (Genesis Lynea) and Ethan’s (George Rainsford) obsession with Effie (Abigail Hardingham) continuing, here’s the spoilers from the trailer in full:

What’s wrong with Archie?

We opened the trailer with Archie upset in the bathroom – something has clearly bothered her during a shift, but what? Later in the trailer we also see a patient from last weeks episode called Vincent Millbank who had acid thrown on him and also was the evil house master who tortured his student Seb and his friends.

At the end of last weeks episode, we discovered Archie has thrown acid onto Mr Millbank’s car and in the trailer, it looks as though he’s figured out that Seb was in custody when it happened – could this be linked? Is the evil teacher out to get Archie?

Iain’s exit

Iain in Casualty trailer
Iain Dean is taking a break from the show (Picture: BBC)

We’ve known for a while that actor Michael Stevenson is taking a break from playing Paramedic Iain Dean after the intense storyline he’s played out with Iain and his battle with PTSD and depression. With Dixie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) arrival we’re pretty certain she has something to do with his exit, and in the trailer we see him offering some pretty sound advice to a patient. It looks like Iain has certainly come along way since that ambulance crash way back in August 2018, and it’s certain he will be missed!

Rash gets angry

Poor Rash (Neet Mohan) has been at a bit of a loss since coming back to the ED. His mum died and instead of allowing himself time to grieve, he threw himself straight back into work when the terrorist attack happened back at the start of the series. It’s clear new Doctor Mason Reade (Victor Oshin) is causing him a bit of trouble as the trailer sees Rash get angry at Ethan for being made to supervise Mason when in reality, that’s a job for Ethan.

We also see both Rash and Mason in trouble with Dylan (William Beck). What could’ve happened? And will things get a little bit easier for Rash soon?

Ethan’s obsession with Effie continues

Ethan Casualty
Ethan has had a tough few months (Picture: BBC)

Since being caught up in the explosion from the terrorist attack back at the start of the series, Ethan has occupied himself by supporting Effie who has cystic fibrosis and is also the daughter of his old uni friend. He has become somewhat obsessed with Effie and in the trailer it reveals that in order to secure Effie a place on the trial, Ethan was inexact when writing up Effie’s notes. Despite the fact that he denies showing any special interest, the trailer also sees Ethan having dinner with Effie – could this simply be him trying to help out a friend, or something more?

Will supports Archie

Since Will’s (Jack Nolan) arrival, he hasn’t really been on screen long enough for us to learn a lot about him, we know he’s a little bit cocky, likes to impress and often butts heads with Archie. We know from last week Will called the police on Seb (the man who threw acid over Mr Millbank) and it looked as though he may have figured out it was Archie who threw acid on Mr Millbank’s car – but in the trailer, we see Will offering his support to Archie…could this be about the acid on the car? If Will regularly disagrees with Archie, why is he supporting her all of a sudden?

Duffy deteriorates

Duffy Casualty
Duffy looked a little shaken (Picture: BBC)

With Duffy (Cathy Shipton) not working at the ED anymore because of her dementia, we only occasionally see her pop up on screen. Thankfully the trailer shows a lot of Duffy, she’s in the park, at home with Charlie (Derek Thompson) and she looks pretty scared in a lot of the clips. Did she forget where she was? With her dementia no doubt getting worse, what’s in store next for Casualty’s longest running characters?

New Paramedic Lev arrives

Iain’s exit looms, which means his replacement will arrive not long after he’s gone. New Paramedic Lev (Uriel Emil) doesn’t exactly give the best first impression in the trailer. He is seen getting into a bit of bother with someone outside the ED and as Ruby (Maddy Hill) asks, ‘what’s with the tattoo then?’ Lev tells her it’s ‘ancient history’ but what’s he hiding?

Distress for Robyn

Robyn Casualty
Robyn broke down in the trailer (Picture: BBC)

A small clip in the trailer sees Robyn (Amanda Henderson) looking very upset. As it’s a small clip there wasn’t much to get from it apart from the park in the background – could something have happened to her daughter Charlotte?

Rosa moves in with David and Ollie?

New porter Rosa (Jacey Salles) has definitely caught David’s eye (Jason Durr) since her arrival. The trailer sees David offering a key to Rosa with son Ollie (Harry Collett) in the background – has David offered Rosa a key to their house? If it does lead to something…excellent!

Jade is scared?

There was only a few clips from Jade (Gabriella Leon) in the trailer, but the clips shown saw her looking upset and telling Marty (Shaheen Jafargholi) she isn’t scared of something…what’s on her mind?

The end of Effie?

We ended the trailer with the return of Effie’s dad saying ‘when she needed you most, you froze’. Ethan also looks distressed in resus with Marty helping him. Has Ethan’s determination to get Effie on the CF trial gone too far? If Effie does die, how will Ethan cope?

Maxine asks James to waive his legal fees to help Damon Embargoed until 17 September
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) has been lying about her illness in Hollyoaks for the better part of a year now, and — when faced yet another dilemma in the coming episodes — she ups her game once more, taking her lies to a whole new level.

With James’ (Gregory Finnegan) legal fees set to cost them a bomb, Maxine decides to tell Damon (Jacob Roberts) that she has only a few weeks left to live — hoping that such a fact will force James to waive the fees. However, this is James Nightingale we’re talking about — who self-admittedly has next to no sensitive bones in his body — so it was always going to be a long shot.

Left with little options, Damon decides to sell his half of The Loveboat. Upon learning of Maxine’s latest lie, Sienna (Anna Passey) is fuming — especially because of the impact this particular fib is having on Damon. As a result, she refuses to help Maxine in any further capacity.

Maxine asks James to waive his legal fees to help Damon Embargoed until 17 September
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Maxine’s tribulations continue later in the week, as James asks to see her medical records. Much to Maxine’s dismay, the solicitor tries to get in touch with Dr Levi (Cerith Flinn) — although his search proves fruitless.

Misbah (Harvey Virdi) ends up being a dead-end as well, which leaves Mitchell (Imran Adams) as his only option — but will he be able to track the trainee doc down before Maxine gets to him first?

Will James succeed in locating Maxine’s medical records? If so, will he learn — and thus, expose — the truth about her lies?

What’s more, will Damon end up parting with his share of the Loveboat?

Sharon learns Mel knows all about her baby secret (Picture: BBC)

Sharon Mitchell’s (Letitia Dean) world is about to get turned upside down as she learns Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) knows Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) is the father of her unborn baby.

We saw Mel put two and two together at the end of Friday’s instalment, after seeing the dad-to-be fussing over her bump.

But, far from running to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and letting slip, she decides to use it to her own advantage.

In fact, still grieving over son Hunter – who was shot dead by the police last week – she is ready to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and begins blackmailing Sharon over her secret.

Which might make things awkward seeing as they run E20 together…

But what price will Sharon have to pay to keep her secret safe?

EastEnders Sharon and Mel
How far does Mel go? (Picture: BBC)

It is well known Mel will not be on our screens for much longer, with Tamzin having already filmed her exit scenes.

She shared a sweet message to the Walford crew on Twitter, teasing that she could soon be back in Albert Square.

‘So that’s it! The end of an era… for me at least. Melanie Healy/Beale/Owen has left the building…,’ she wrote.

‘It’s been a pleasure, a privilege and a 21 year association with a family I will cherish forever and never forget….

‘TIL next time my beautiful cast and crew… you all rock.’

While we’ll miss Mel, Sharon might be glad to see the back of her…

Linda Carter in EastEnders
Linda Carter faces new woes when she arrives at the school gates in EastEnders (Picture: BBC)

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has had plenty to deal with over the past couple of months in EastEnders, but her troubles aren’t over just yet, and she’s set to face a challenge of a very different kind in upcoming scenes.

With the summer at an end, its time for Ollie to begin his new school. However, Linda gets quite the shock when — upon accompanying her son to the school for his first day — the other mums prove to be rather hostile. Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) later reiterates her experiences of the parents’ hostility — and Linda is concerned as a result.

Unable to think about anything else but her earlier encounter with the mums, the landlady of the Queen Vic shares her concerns with Mick (Danny Dyer). It’s clear that she wants to do what’s best for Ollie, but she’s worried that a frosty atmosphere with the other parents could end up causing problems.

Later in the week, the Carter matriarch is determined to do the right thing, and thus she resolves to make friends with the other mums.

Linda in EastEnders
Linda struggles to make friends with the other mums (Picture: BBC)

However, in spite of Linda’s attempts, it soon becomes apparent that this task is going to be far from an easy one.

Will she manage to succeed in her mission?

If there’s one thing we know about Linda it’s that once she sets her mind to something, there’s no stopping her. Who could forget that time back in 2014 when — mere months after her arrival on the Square — she resolved to help the market traders in their mission to save the market, and thus ended up proving instrumental in their victory?

In addition to her determination, we know that Linda’s willing to go above and beyond when it comes to the people she loves — something which she proved last year when, against all odds, she managed to extract the truth from Stuart (Ricky Champ) about Mick’s involvement — or lack thereof — in the shooting at the Vic.

Yes, Linda’s certainly relentless, so it’s rather hard to imagine that she won’t succeed in charming the mums, but — with worries aplenty as it is — she’ll be no doubt be feeling the pressure, which could scupper her chances at making friends.

It’s recently been announced that, with the pressures piling on, Linda will turn to alcohol, so perhaps the stress of this will contribute to her upcoming storyline.

One to watch: Tuesday 17th September at 7:30pm on BBC One.

Will Emmerdale's Cain murder Moira or Nate?
(Picture: ITV)

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) has been playing with fire by getting down and dirty with farm hand Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), cheating on her oblivious husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) in Emmerdale. In the wake of Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin) betraying Marlon (Mark Charnock), Moira has been given food for thought about what she is really doing – especially after some words of judgement from her son Matty (Ash Palmisciano).

Cain has never really liked Nate and it turns out that this is for good reason – fans have been lashing out with anger at the actions of a predatory Nate as he pursued and seduced Moira. And Moira has well and truly given in to temptation, as the pair steal as many liaisons as they can find.

But this is all going to end in tears when the truth about their sordid affair explodes this October in a special week. Traditionally, Emmerdale goes high octane in October and the show has revealed that they have just filmed unmissable scenes.

From car crash pile ups to barn explosions, October’s big week often contains stunts – so will Cain be pushed to the edge when he finds out what has happened behind his back? And will Nate regret ever crossing him as he faces death at his hands?

Speaking previously about the major October plans, producer Kate Brooks teased: ‘Moira is married to ultimate bad boy Cain, so when he does find out, it will be explosive and there will be lots of drama and ramifications for all characters involved. ‘We get to the core of why this affair has happened and the ramifications of it.

‘This will all come to a head in October – we like a big week in October to set the autumn schedules alight. This will all come out then and honestly, it’s a massive week of drama. It’s very story led – a lot of tears, a lot of action and a lot of heartbreak.’

Be very afraid Nate!

Ben at the Farm House
Ben struggles with his situation (Picture: Channel 5)

Ben (Rohan Nichol) has been struggling ever since being arrested for an international drug trafficking crime he’s been framed for by his board supplier, who have disappeared without a trace and left the Feds believing he’s responsible for stashing the substances inside the shipment. With no way of proving his innocence, Ben has been left with no business, an upcoming trial, huge legal bills and potential jail time.

Struggling to find motivation each day, Ben has resorted to sitting around watching TV, which has caused Maggie (Kestie Morassi) and Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) to become concerned. Trying to listen to Alf’s (Ray Meagher) advice to give Ben time and space, Maggie struggles when she returns home to find Ben hasn’t moved from his spot on the couch. She pushes him to keep in touch with the estate agent, and gets him to eat, but his mood drops again when he notices a huge legal bill.

As Maggie touches base with Alf and says she isn’t sure how much more of Ben’s behaviour she can take, Ziggy tries to persuade her dad to come out for a surf – but is unsuccessful. He ignores Maggie’s texts suggesting they meet up for lunch, instead looking at the invoices from solicitors.

Maggie keeps trying, suggesting a romantic dinner, but Ben simply stonewalls her, causing Maggie to snap and accuse him of not even trying anymore. Ben is bewildered when she says she can’t even be around him.

Ziggy comforts Maggie, finally realising how desperate the situation has become. She decides to try and get through to Ben using a tough love method, and goes to confront her dad, insisting he put an end to his behaviour. However, her method quickly backfires as Ben explodes, roaring that he has nothing left, so nothing matters. He storms out of the house, leaving Ziggy and Maggie feeling terrified and shocked.

The next day, Ben appears to have turned his behaviour around, making breakfast and planning to do some work around the Pier ahead of its sale. Later on, Alf forces Ben into having lunch with him, and convinces him to build a storage area within the bait shop. He and John (Shane Withington) give Ben a pep talk, meaning well but not realising it’s all become too much for him. He makes an excuse to get back to work and leaves them.

When Alf and John head outside, they see that Ben’s saw has been left on, but he’s nowhere to be seen. Fearing the worst, they rush off to try and find him. Maggie is informed about the situation, and Alf questions if Ben is struggling with his mental health. Feeling panicked, they rally round to look for Ben. Will they find him?

While Raffy (Olivia Deeble) has been struggling with her HSC trials, Ryder (Lukas Radovich) has been studying hard and is feeling confident ahead of his next exam. Alf (Ray Meagher) is pleased to see he’s keeping on top of his studies and is well prepared, but when Ryder leaves, Marilyn (Emily Symons) comments that she wishes things were that straightforward for Raffy.

At school, Ryder is perplexed when Raffy doesn’t show up for the exam, and asks Maggie (Kestie Morassi) if they should wait for her. However, Maggie tells him to focus on his own paper, leaving him worried that something might be going on with his ex and former friend.

When Ryder mentions Raffy’s absence to Alf, he’s advised to tread lightly. He goes to ask Marilyn, but she admits it’s up to Raffy to tell him anything about her situation. A worried Ryder is left more concerned than ever.

After leaving a message for Raffy, Ryder asks Bella (Courtney Miller) if she knows anything, but Bella is as out of the loop as he is. The next morning, he overhears John (Shane Withington) and Mason (Orpehus Pledger) talking, and learns that Raffy’s CBD trial has been cancelled. He finds Raffy at school and demands to know why he wasn’t made aware of the situation. Raffy cuts him off, saying she’s about to go into an exam and she doesn’t owe him anything. They’re not dating anymore – they’re not even friends.

While Raffy struggles with her exam, Ryder does well, and is jubilant. He celebrates briefly with Roo (Georgie Parker) in the hallway, who says they should celebrate his hard work. She heads off to another class, and a plan starts forming in Ryder’s head.

He goes to find Bella, so she can help him with plans for celebrating the end of his exams. He thinks that a big party at the caravan park will work – as Raffy is now out of the picture, he needs all the friends he can get. Meanwhile, Roo tells Alf that she thinks Ryder deserves to celebrate, and she suggests the three of them have dinner at Salt. What will they do when they find out about Ryder’s massive party plans?

EastEnders ‘axed major Woody storyline’ when Lee Ryan signed up for panto

Woody in EastEnders played by Lee Ryan
Lee Ryan’s character Woody was going to be involved in a ‘major’ storyline (Picture: BBC)

Lee Ryan has claimed that EastEnders cut a major Woody storyline because of his commitments to panto. According to the Blue singer, who first appeared in Albert Square in 2017, his character was meant to marry Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) – but their romance ended very differently.

‘They wouldn’t tell me whether they’d want me back in Walford,’ Lee said.

He continued: ‘Every time I asked them, they were evasive. Frustratingly, by the time they said yes, I’d signed for a panto and couldn’t break that contract.

‘I was told that if I went ahead with the panto they’d cut Woody’s major storyline. Which is exactly what they did.’

Lee added to the Mirror: ‘That was a real shame. I was meant to marry Whitney. But they downgraded my story.’

EastEnders has declined to comment.

Despite Lee’s remarks, a number of EastEnders cast members have starred in panto while remaining in the soap.

Two years ago Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale, was reportedly paid £130,000 for starring in Peter Pan with Steve McFadden also taking to the stage.

Woody had a rollercoaster romance with Whitney, who discovered her husband-to-be Callum Highway (Tony Clay) had been having an affair with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) in recent scenes, during their time together.

Their relationship came to a heartbreaking end in 2017 when he stood her up at the station and left her to work at a bar in Spain.

Last year, Woody came crawling back to Walford and was desperate to repair their romance, but Whitney was having none of it.

EastEnders confirmed in March 2018 that Lee’s character had been written out of the soap and his final scenes aired in the spring.

EastEnders airs tomorrow night at 8pm on BBC One.

Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas passionately kisses woman in the street a day after nasty brawl with Emmerdale’s Asan N’Jie

Jamie Lomas kisses woman in the street
Love is in the air (Picture: Splash)

Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas didn’t waste time thinking about his nasty brawl with Emmerdale actor Asan N’Jie, as he was spotted kissing a mystery woman very publicly just a day later.

The 44-year-old actor was pictured outside a Boisdale restaurant in London on Tuesday afternoon, with his arms wrapped around a blonde woman as they passionately kissed in the street.

It’s the first time the pair have been seen together but, judging by their PDA, they’re about ready to go public with their romance.

At one point, Jamie looked lovingly at his love interest as she affectionately held his face in her hands. The soap star then gently held onto the woman’s hands as they continued to chat and laugh around outside the eatery.

Either they were preparing to part ways or the woman had just flown in as she had a small suitcase with her, which would explain the particularly amorous display.

Jamie is thought to have most recently dated Hollyoaks staffer Portia Hughes, but news of their split emerged in June after their relationship fizzled out earlier in the year.

A source claimed that Jamie was ‘completely smitten’ with Portia but they simply ‘couldn’t go the distance’ and decided to split ‘amicably’ after around a year of dating.

Asan allegedly threatened to ‘knife’ Jamie outside London’s Hilton Park Lane where the awards show was taking place.

Sources claim Asan hurled a ‘sarcastic dig’ towards Jamie ‘completely unprovoked’.

It led to a fierce showdown with both Jamie and Asan allegedly ‘pushing and shoving’ before they were separately escorted away from the situation.

Following an investigation by ITV, Asan was sacked from his role as Ellis Chapman in Emmerdale the next day. He apologised for his behaviour in a statement and said he was ‘devastated’ by the events.
