Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has struggled to adjust to life outside of prison and still feels guilty over the death of Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater).

Fans have seen him experience visions of his sister in recent weeks, and they are set to return again this week.

He became responsible for her death in 2014 when he hit her with a jewellery box, and he was eventually found-out and sent to prison.

Now that he is trying to get his life back on track the visions of her keep coming back to him.

Is Hetti Bywater back as Lucy Beale in EastEnders?

Lucy Beale is set to appear in front of Bobby Beale once again as he is plagued by more visions.

The bad news for fans of the soap is that her appearance in tonight’s episode doesn’t include the return of Hetti Bywater.

Instead, Bobby’s visions include old dialogue from the actress as well as flashbacks from when she was alive.

Bobby has seen a figure of Lucy by his window over the last few weeks, but the role is played by a body double rather than Lucy herself.

Viewers only see the outline of her from afar, but to Bobby what he sees is very real.

Tonight’s visions are set to push Bobby over the edge, and he could be about to take drastic and dangerous action.

EastEnders airs tonight at 20.00 on BBC One.

Bobby Beale in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has reached the edge as he has been unable to shake the intimidating voice of his dead sister Lucy (Hetti Bywater) from constantly plaguing him. Since returning to his home in Walford, the EastEnders teen has been reminded of the horrific crime he committed which ended Lucy’s life and since then he has struggled and often failed to hold it together.

In recent weeks, his visions of Lucy have become more intense and she has been telling him that she won’t ever forgive him while also laughing mirthlessly at him. When he is in the house, it reaches its peak and despite Ian’s (Adam Woodyatt) attempt to get through to his son and find him support, he has ended up snapping and being left more vulnerable than ever.

After another row with Rainie Branning (Tanya Franks) during which she disgusted Bobby by revealing that Ian slept with her on the night that Lucy died, he lashed out at his dad by dousing him with a bucket of water.

He lied to a concerned Max Branning (Jake Wood) that he had sorted things with Ian after Ian siggested that they get him some professional help but Max wasn’t fooled. As Lucy’s voice reached its loudest pitch in Bobby’s mind, he was left screaming that this is his home now and he needed to get rid of her.

Thinking he physically had to destroy the memories of her, Bobby desperately doused the place in petrol before grabbing a lighter while standing in the fuel. As Max kicked the door down, he may find himself too late as Bobby’s situation is perilous.

If he drops the lighter into the fluid, the whole room will go up, with him caught in the middle. Is Bobby’s nightmare about to lead to his tragic end?

Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick has married producer Kate Brooks in Memphis and the ceremony looks adorable.

The actress, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV soap, tied the knot with Emmerdale producer Kate at Elvis Presley’s former mansion in Tennessee on Tuesday.

Sharing a snap of herself and Kate on the steps of Gracelands, she gushed: ‘In over 100 degrees heat, on Tuesday 10th September, I became Mrs Brooks.’

The 42-year-old added the captions: ‘#graceland #chapelinthewoods #memphis #nextstopnashville.’

In the cute shot, Michelle rocks a white flared jumpsuit that Elvis himself would be proud of as well as some killer sunglasses.

Kate, meanwhile, donned a white gown and held her bouquet of flowers up in the air while beaming at the camera.

Our hearts!

Naturally, the couple’s showbiz pals flocked to the comments to gush over how darn cute the whole day was.

Former Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson left a string of love hearts, while Steps singer Faye Tozer was straight in there with a ‘Congratulations!’

https://www.instagram.com/p/BrTK4A2l3b0/

Their wedding comes nine months after Michelle popped the question to Kate, following ‘months of planning’.

The actress dished on Instagram at the time: ‘So after months of planning, I popped the question!!! She said yes!!!

‘#loveislove #noordinaryproposal (sic).’

Their engagement came just two months after Michelle confirmed her romance with Kate on National Coming Out Day, which occurs annually on October 11, by sharing two black and white images.

She added the caption: ‘It will all work out in the end #behappy #nationalcomingoutday #loveislove(sic).’

While the actress, who has starred in Emmerdale since 2012, is happy to gush over her partner on Instagram, she previously admitted she gets scared to hold hands in public for fear of homophobic taunts.

She told the Mirror: ‘I feel like we’re going backwards in society with our attitudes.

‘Sometimes if Kate and I see a group of young lads we instinctively let go of each other’s hands because we’re scared they’ll turn on us.’

Michelle divorced Rosie Nicholl in 2017, 12 months after their wedding.

Hollyoaks’ Kieron Richardson hints Ste Hay will ‘put a stop’ to far-right terrorist attack

Hollyoaks’ Kieron Richardson has hinted that Ste Hay will ‘put a stop’ to the far-right terrorist attack planned by Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons).

Despite the long-time character showing blind loyalty to the pair after being groomed and initiated into the anti-Muslim group, all might not be lost for Ste as Kieron revealed there might be a way out for him.

With the character largely in the dark about Jonny and Stuart’s violent plan, Kieron explained: ‘Ste loosely knows that something is happening and there has been lots of talk about action and doing something massive.

‘However, the moment that Ste realises that lives are in jeopardy here and every life is important, Ste has to put a stop to it, especially because his friends and family are in the firing line for this one.’

Hollyoaks, Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons).
Jonny and Stuart orchestrated the violent plan (Picture: LIMEPICTURES)

Nevertheless, it’s definitely not going to be an easy journey for Ste considering he’s in deep with his so-called friends. Kieron admitted that Ste’s going to have to reach a new low to pull himself out of the organisation.

‘A former member of the group, Jed, tried to help Ste get out of it. Ste is so far down this rabbit hole now that Jed unfortunately couldn’t help him, it’s only Ste that can help himself,’ the 27-year-old said.

‘He’s got to be the one that makes the decision. Even though Jed’s tried to steer him in to the right direction, ultimately he has to hit rock bottom for him to get himself out.’

Hollyoaks Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons).
Ste’s been blindly loyal to the pair (Picture: LIMEPICTURES)

The actor, who has played the character since he was introduced in 2006, revealed that Ste has ‘questioned the racial tones’ of the group’s hateful attitudes after they targeted the Maalik family.

But it’s going to take more than that to get him out of the organisation, considering how much dirt they’ve got on him.

‘They have loads of evidence stacked up against him, including him smashing up Amir’s bike, and all the online stuff, him beating up Jed, and the threat on his family,’ Kieron admitted.

‘Ultimately, he wants to keep his family safe and he knows that if he was to just walk away they could do anything to put them in danger.’

After Ste gives a speech at Stuart’s family day, the villainous pair deliberate on whether to let him in on their plan.

Although they decide to enlighten him, he has no idea what he’s actually in for, with the events of the day leaving him – and the rest of Hollyoaks – reeling.

As for what will happen to the lad after his involvement – only time will tell.

Emmerdale spoilers: Belle Dingle’s new romance revealed but there’s heartbreak ahead

Belle is horrified to learn the truth about her mum Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox)
(PIcture: ITV)

Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) has had a terrible year having lost her beloved mum Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) just as she thought she’d finally got her family back together, and having endured the terrifying return of her ex Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson).

But things could be about to look up for her.

Her budding romance was teased in recent months as she asked Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie) to help her train for a 5K and Billy (Jay Kontzle) immediately picked up on some vibes from his brother that there was more than a trainer/client relationship going on there. But now it seems things are about to get going for this pair.

Belle is over the moon when the personal trainer finally asks her out on a date. After all this dancing around the subject, it’s about time!

Having narrowly escaped a stabbing with his life, Ellis knows he must seize the day, and it starts with making his move on Belle. It’s also the exact distraction he needs as his dad Al’s arrival in Emmerdale causes havoc for his family as he secretly plots with Kim Tate (Claire King).

Could this union between Belle and Ellis bring that little bit of joy to the two families following so much trauma? Or will fate be working against them when Mandy brings trouble to the Dingles with her huge secret, and when Al works to drive a wedge between Jessie and Marlon?

Of course, with recent off screen developments that have seen Asan dismissed from his role following an altercation with Jamie Lomas, it looks like a happy ending isn’t on the cards for Belle and Ellis.

It is not yet confirmed how the character of Ellis will be written out – but curtains for this blossoming new love story will certainly be closed.

Sinead hugs Daniel in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

The recent news about Sinead’s (Katie McGlynn) cancer returning in Coronation Street and her unfortunately only having three or four months to live has come as a shock to everyone on the cobbles.

Sinead’s husband Daniel (Rob Mallard) has spent months being the supportive and strong one in the family, making sure he’s there for Sinead through her previous battle with cancer and also the birth of their son Bertie. Now though, upcoming episodes will see Daniel fall apart as we see a glimpse of what things will be like for him as he struggles to cope.

Sinead’s still suffering from sickness after her chemo and as Sinead sleeps, Beth (Lisa George) bemoans to Daniel that Sinead is too tired and sick to be with Bertie. When Sinead wakes, she is too weak to hold Bertie, and Daniel suggests she should stop having her chemo.

Sinead accuses Daniel of wanting her to die sooner because he can’t cope. Daniel turns up for work, desperate to escape the atmosphere at home. As Sinead’s hair falls out as Beth brushes it, Sinead regrets her harsh words to Daniel.

Sinead urges Daniel to attend the Bailey’s house party and later, Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) finds Daniel drinking alone in Victoria Gardens and she drags him to the party. As Daniel dances wildly, Michael (Ryan Russell) tries to lead him outside. Angry, Daniel takes a swing at him.

Adam (Sam Robertson) arrives at No.3 and takes Daniel away meanwhile Sinead asks Beth to ensure she’s dressed nicely when she’s buried, dissolving her to tears. Daniel breaks down and sobs in Adam’s arms.

It’s clear Daniel will have family around him to support him through Sinead’s final months – but will he be able to cope or are things going to become unbearable for Daniel?

Sheree Truman in EastEnders
Sheree Truman is having a lorra, lorra fun in EastEnders (Picture: BBC)

Sheree Truman (Suzette Llewellyn) has wasted little time in making friends in EastEnders — much to Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) dismay — but the newcomer undertakes a task of a different kind in the coming episodes, as she sets about playing cupid for one of Albert Square’s regulars.

Sheree hasn’t been in Walford all that long, but it’s safe to say that she’s already made herself at home. From critiquing Denise’s (Diane Parish) decor at the B&B, to offering styling tips to the hairdressers at Fox & Hair — not to mention suggesting that Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) and Lola (Danielle Harold) enter themselves for a stylist competition — Patrick’s new wife certainly hasn’t held back and, in the coming episodes, she finds herself with a brand new project.

With Louise (Tilly Keeper) planning a surprise party for Bex (Jasmine Armfield), Sheree and Patrick decide to throw themselves into the fun. Later, Sheree shares a dance with Ted (Christopher Timothy) — but things grow awkward when Ted oversteps the mark.

Later in the week, Patrick is determined to have it out with Ted over what transpired, but — whilst doing so — he comes to realisation that Ted is simply missing Joyce (Maggie Steed). Ted’s revelation leads Sheree to an idea. Yes, she resolves to set him up on a date.

Of course, the question is: who is Sheree planning on setting him up with?

What’s more, how will Ted react when he learns of Sheree’s match-making?

One to watch: Friday 20th September at 8pm on BBC One.

Coronation Street spoilers: Rapist Josh Tuker stabbed – by David Platt?

Coronation Street death
(Picture: ITV/Metro.co.uk)

Coronation Street is set to air violent scenes as rapist Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) will be stabbed in a prison riot, during which he comes face to face with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd). David is currently locked away thanks to his brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) leaving him to take the fall for the stolen money from gran Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

After support from Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding), David fought his demons after being raped and left shattered by Josh and the last time he saw him was during a confrontation where David drove him out of town after police took no action due to insufficient evidence.

However, since then, Josh has ended up in prison – we can’t confirm whether he has struck again or a new victim has come forward but David will get the shock of his life when he sees him.

In details leaked by The Sun, the story – which will air this autumn – will see a violent prison riot unfold. During the chaos, Josh will be stabbed and left for dead, leaving viewers wondering whether David committed the crime.

While the report claims that David is the one who stabs Josh, Metro.co.uk understands that viewers will actually have to wait and see if he has gone so far. Given that his own wife was killed in a stabbing, would David resort to such revenge? Or is someone else to blame?

We can’t confirm whether Josh pulls through after the attack and whether David could end up facing yet more time in prison but could he lose the support of Shona during the ordeal as actress Julia leaves the show temporarily for maternity leave?

It never rains but pours for David Platt and this nightmare is set to be one of the biggest stories in Corrie’s autumn line-up.

Viewers can expect to see it begin to unfold next month.

Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver reveals she almost died after battle with sepsis

Sue Cleaver has revealed she almost came close to death after being diagnosed with sepsis.

The 56-year-old actress, known for playing Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street, revealed on This Morning how she’d been diagnosed with the life-threatening infection in July earlier this year.

Speaking on the show to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, Sue explained how she started to feel ill while filming on the soap.

‘I didn’t really take it seriously,’ Sue said. ‘I suffer like many people with IBS and I thought I’m having a flair up of IBS.’

After going home sick, she returned to the set the next day where her condition worsened.

‘I went back shooting and it was the hottest day of the year and I was on set with a hot water bottle, shaking, and Melanie Hill turned to me and said, “Look at your feet”.

Eileen is in danger in Coronation Street
Eileen on Coronation Street (Picture: ITV)

‘And my feet were just blue and purple and all the goosebumps on my arms. I was in pain and freezing cold, so I went home after lunch, got into bed. I had socks on, leggings, dressing gown, thinking of not only have I got IBS, I’ve caught the flu now.’

It wasn’t until Sue’s husband rang their paramedic daughter-in-law when Sue decided to go to hospital, where she was diagnosed with sepsis.

‘I didn’t know I had sepsis until the next day in the ward,’ Sue said.

‘I think it was purely from the kidney infection which was very severe. The biggest lesson for me is we stride on through life, we’ve got commitments and we just put up and get on with things, and that is a big mistake.’

‘All I wanted to do was sleep,’ Sue added. ‘If [my husband] hadn’t have come home and I’d have gone to sleep, then what would have happened?’

In response, This Morning’s doctor Ranj Singh said: ‘It may have been very, very different for you.’

She also described how she’d been suffering from ‘horrific nightmares’ in the weeks following the diagnosis, saying: ‘[I’ve had] really strange nightmares of being shot or having a noose around my neck and having to drop over a ravine.

‘Also I don’t have a sweet tooth at all, not interested, and that’s all I wanted for about three weeks – just craving cakes, pastries, custard, everything I’d never eat.’

Sue, however, assured she was back in shape following the incident, even though it’s taken a while to get back in the swing of things on Coronation Street.

‘It took me so long to learn the lines,’ Sue said. ‘But it’s taken a while for everything to get back to normal. But I feel like my old self now.’

You can catch This Morning weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.

Roxanne Pallett weighs in on sacked Emmerdale star after Jamie Lomas fight

Roxanne Pallett has weighed in on the recent fight between the now-sacked Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie, and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.

Asan, who played Ellis Chapman on the soap, and Jamie clashed at an after party for the TV Choice Awards earlier this week, with the incident caught on video.

In the footage Asan seemingly threatens to ‘knife’ Jamie, who stars as Warren Fox on Hollyoaks, in a blazing row and the pair have to be separated.

The actor has since been sacked from the ITV soap.

Roxanne, who played Jo Sugden on Emmerdale, decided not to go into what happened but added that ‘people make mistakes’.

Appearing on Friday’s Jeremy Vine, she said: ‘I’m not in a position to judge anyone so I’m not gonna comment.

‘I think people make mistakes and we learn from them.’

In a statement, ITV said that Asan’s contract had been terminated ‘with immediate effect’.

The actor added: ‘My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character. I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.

‘I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.’

She may have been referring to her own controversy from last year, when she wrongly accused Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas of ‘punching’ her.

She kept out of the public eye for a year after her appearance, and explained on the show she had been having therapy for PTSD.

Roxanne, 36, said: ‘I had to go through it. It was the best worst thing to happen to me, it shook me out of the state I was in. I was a person I didn’t even like.

‘Everyone was entitled to feel and say what they felt because that was the person I was showing everybody.’

Their relationship wasn’t exactly rosy when they first met as Daniel irritated Jean to the point of her snapping. But since then, he has shown a deeper side to him and opened his soul more to Jean. The pair have spent time together and he has done his best to support Jean ahead of her operation.

The operation is a success and Jean is in high spirits as she comes round, much to the delight of Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace). As they phone Stacey to share the news of the operation, Daniel enters and Kat quickly takes the phone outside.

It’s during the conversation which follows that Daniel opens up to Jean about his sad prognosis – but how will Jean react and can she be there to help him? And will the bad news take away the relief she is feeling over her own health as Daniel’s mortality hits home?

Jessie dingle in Emmerdale
Jessie’s snaped Marlon’s heart clean in two… (Picture: ITV)

Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) has been seen cheating on Marlon (Mark Charnock) with her ex-husband Al (Michael Wildman) so it’s safe to say that it’s all kicking off on Emmerdale.

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) walked in on Jessie kissing Al after they slept together.

As if that wasn’t enough drama for our nerves, Marlon found out and we heard his heart snap all the way through our TV screens.

After this, we can’t help but wonder whether or not Jessie is long for the Dales…

Is Jessie Dingle leaving Emmerdale?

Jessie is indeed going to be leaving Emmerdale at some point soon because actress Sandra is joining the cast of the stage show Thunder Girls.

Sandra, who’s a singer as well as an actor, told OK! Magazine: ‘There are so many amazing people looking for work and it’s a tough industry, but if you don’t challenge yourself you’ll never know. My last day will be emotional.

‘There’s definitely going to be a wobbly lip! It’s a difficult thing because you never assume you can come back, the cogs keep turning and the lives of these amazing characters carry on.’

However, there’s hope for Marlon and Jessie’s love yet as the door will be left open for Sandra to return to the Dales.

The actor said: ‘Thank God they’ve left the door open, I’m very grateful for that. It’s been an amazing time on Emmerdale but I’m also excited to see what the future could hold.

‘It was a really hard one as I love soaps and I always dreamed of being in one. I’ve had the most fantastic time.’

Who is Sarah Sugden texting in Emmerdale? (Picture: ITV)

Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield have been facing huge problems with Sarah Sugden in Emmerdale, who is now texting a mysterious boy from school.

The school lad is about to cause big problems for Charity and Vanesaa when it comes to Sarah and her escalating attitude, but who exactly is the boy and what has Sarah’s storyline been so far?

Who is Sarah Sugden texting?

Sarah has been neglecting her school work and acting out in order to spend time with a boy – the same lad she’s been texting.

The boy in question is called Danny (Louis Welch) and he’s a teen from Sarah’s school.

Although the youngsters are already texting, we won’t get our first sighting of Danny until September 16th when Louis Welch, son of Denise Welch, makes his debut on the soap as Sarah’s school friend.

Danny’s role in Sarah’s life will start to develop over the next few months, but it looks like the new boy-next-door could spell trouble for the Dales teen.

What is Sarah Sugden’s storyline?

Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) has had a tough few years with her health, as well as her mum leaving her for a new life in Scotland.

And it doesn’t sound as though things will get easier for the abandoned teen.

That’s right, the new boy in school is about to catch her eye, and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwich) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkin) are left with the responsibility of guiding Sarah through the next stage of her life.

Will Danny turn his potential love interest into a wild child? Or will she stop wasting her time and focus on her studies?

Faye Brookes as Kate Connor in Coronation Street
Kate isn’t the only character set to make an exit after four years on the show (Picture: Joseph Scanlon/ITV)

Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) bids an emotional goodbye to the Cobbles tonight and she puts her troubled past in Coronation Street behind her to go travelling and start afresh. But is this goodbye forever for Faye?

Well, we don’t know for certain if or when Kate might return to Weatherfield following her adventures abroad, but actress Faye certainly isn’t ruling out a return in the future saying that Kate just, ‘needs a break for a little while.’

Faye previously opened up about her departure from the soap, saying: ‘Thanks to everyone for your amazing support, but after four fabulous years in Weatherfield, it’s time for me to explore new opportunities.’

‘I’ve loved playing Kate Connor, but she needs a break for a little while and so with a song in my heart I’m off to pastures new.’

So, while tonight’s episode will mark the end of Kate’s time in Weatherfield for now, the door has most certainly been left open for a potential return in the future.

Another Corrie character set to say goodbye soon after four years on the soap is Sophie Webster, who is played by Brooke Vincent. The actress is currently expecting her first baby with her boyfriend, Premier League footballer Kean Bryan and is soon to depart Corrie to go on maternity leave.

While it looks like Kate will be heading off on her travels alone for now after failing to persuade Sophie to join her, fans of the show have theorised that Sophie will likely change her mind down the line and join Kate, allowing Brooke to exit the soap but leaving the storyline open for her to return after her maternity leave.

A still of Ali Neeson, played by James Burrows, goes to doctor in Coronation Street
Ali Neeson goes to see Dr Gaddas but it doesn’t go well (Picture: ITV).

Tonight’s episode of Coronation Street will see a shocking turn of events in Ali Neeson’s (James Burrows) storyline that will see him collapse before being found on the floor, convulsing, by his brother Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).

But what is wrong with Dr Ali and does his shock collapse in tonight’s episode mean he is leaving the ITV soap?

What is wrong with Dr Ali?

Ali has been struggling with some demons since being unable to save Cormac Truman (Joe Mallalieu) from his overdose in 2018 and being subsequently blamed for his death by his brother Ryan.

Following his heroic efforts in saving Hope Stape from the factory fire a few weeks ago, Ali began taking the drug diazepam, but he became dependent on his prescription, fuelling his addiction to the pills through a crooked pharmacist who became his drug dealer.

After the pharmacist was arrested, Ali’s addiction continued to grip him, forcing him to try and hide his dependency on the pills to get a new prescription for diazepam from Dr Gaddas (Christine Mackie).

In tonight’s episode, we will see Dr Gaddas refuse him the drugs and urge him to get help.

Unable to get hold of any more pills, Ali ends up collapsing and convulsing.

Is Ali leaving Coronation Street?

While we don’t know for sure at this point if James has decided to leave the soap, he did hint back in March that he might be leaving The Cobbles at some stage, telling OK! Magazine: ‘I won’t stay for years, there are other roles I’d like to do.’

However, if he is planning on leaving the soap soon, fans of the actor won’t have to bid him goodbye tonight.

Ali comes round from his collapse and begs Ryan for help, who in turn fetches Robert (Tristan Gemmill) and the pair rally round Ali and vow to help him get through the process of coming off the pills.

Will Ali keep to his promise to quit diazepam cold turkey? Only time will tell.

Coronation Street continues on tonight, Friday 13th September, at 7:30pm on ITV.

daniel and jean on eastenders
Daniel bonded with Jean after the two met at the hospital (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes)

Comedy star Ade Edmondson joined the cast of EastEnders back in June, and we’ve seen his character Daniel get very close to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) in that time.

The two met on the cancer ward at the hospital, and even though they didn’t exactly get off on the right foot, they’re now thick as thieves.

Sadly though, Jean is due to get some very bad news tonight…

Does Ade Edmondson’s EastEnders character Daniel die?

In tragic scenes tonight, Daniel is going to tell his friend that his cancer has spread.

Jean’s already had a hard enough year as it is, what with dealing with her own cancer, her suicidal son Sean (Rob Kazinsky) and the fact that her daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner) is now on the run following her attack on Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Will the news that Daniel’s health is even poorer than she thought tip her over the edge? Should he die, would Jean be able to cope without the support of her friend?

On the subject of his joining EastEnders, actor Ade said:

‘There were only fifteen boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and I’ll be the third to appear in EastEnders – so I feel it’s a kind of tradition!’

Meanwhile, Executive Producer Jon Sen said: ‘Adrian’s a phenomenal talent who will bring his unique blend of intelligence, warmth and humour to the role of Daniel. We’re all over the moon he’s coming to Walford and can’t wait for this love story to hit screens later this year.’
