(Picture: ITV)

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) have been battling to get their surrogacy plans off the ground as they have been beset by nothing but problems in Emmerdale.

First they were hit by money issues. Then Aaron tried to pay for a surrogate and it all blew up in his face and put a strain on their marriage.

Then it seemed like all would be well as they decided to go ahead with the plans and get their family off the ground, but Faith went and put her foot in it with a new surrogate, who found out about Liv (Isobel Steele) and Aaron’s criminal pasts.

Now they’ve hit a road block in a long line of road blocks, and this one seems to be the end of the road, for now at least.

With Victoria suffering so badly in the wake of recent events, Robert decides he needs to be there for her.

And while he does that he can’t focus on much else, meaning he needs to put their surrogacy plans on hold.

Reluctantly, they both agree it’s the best thing to do, give up their baby dreams.

Will their baby plans ever get back on track?

Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) has a new victim
(picture: Lime Pictures)

Breda McQueen has been on a killing spree as of late in Hollyoaks, and she’s getting ready to commit another murder.

Having murdered Russ Owen (Stuart Manning), Carl Costello (Paul Opacic), Glenn Donovan (Bob Cryer), Louis Loveday (Karl Collins) and Mac Nightingale (David Easter), it’s safe to assume that Breda is what you might call a serial killer.

However, in spite of murdering half the village, the evil woman has managed to evade justice time and again — which is likely down to her intricate planning of each crime. After killing Mac, she made sure she was out of the frame by setting up Romeo Quinn (Owen Warner). Thankfully — with help from James (Gregory Finnegan) — the young lad wasn’t a suspect for too long.

Quite a bit of time has now passed since she killed Mac, so Breda prepares to take another life and, like before, she has set her sights on someone in particular. But just who is her intended victim this time?

After ensuring she has a tarpaulin and a mallet in the boot of her car, she quietly waits for her target. Before long, she hears footsteps — someone is approaching!

She readies her mallet, and prepares to attack.

Will she succeed in adding another name to her lengthy list of victims?

Or will her mysterious target manage to get the upper hand and expose her once and for all?

One to watch: Monday 13th May at 7pm on E4.

(Picture: BBC)

The Taylors have had their ups and downs this year in EastEnders, but they’ve continued to pull together and support one another — like they’ve always done. However, things are set to take a turn for the worse as a shocking death leaves the clan devastated.

When Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) initially showed up in Albert Square, Karen (Lorraine Stanley) couldn’t wait to see the back of him. However, upon learning of the hardship that both he and daughter Bailey (Kara-Leah Fernandes) have endured as a result of Dinah Wilson’s (Anjela Lauren Smith) terminal illness, the launderette manager resolved to do all she could to support them both.

Bailey’s mum is currently having more bad days than good, which is why Karen is relieved to see her in good spirits once more. Due to this optimism, Karen agrees to have Bailey stay over at hers, totally unaware of the fact that Dinah is actually making her final preparations.

Bailey spends a heap of quality time her mum, before Karen and Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) show up to take the young girl to the park.

While Bailey is out, Mitch arrives at the flat after a long day at work but is left devastated when he discovers that Dinah has taken her own life.

Distraught over what has transpired, Keegan (Zack Morris) sets off to find Bailey, in the hopes of consoling his little sister.

Will he be able to locate her?

Bailey has been preparing for losing her mum for quite some time now, but even so, the news of Dinah’s death will undoubtedly leave her heartbroken given how close she was to her.

The incident happened after he got involved and put a stop to Max’s criminal activities, which would have put Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) freedom in jeopardy. He also tried to stop Ellis from going to the police to watch CCTV of whoever carried out the attack. What does he know about the stabbing?

Tonight will see the truth revealed, as Billy recalls what happened that night in a flashback where viewers will see Billy searching for Ellis outside the night club with the fire alarm ringing.

Does Maya get murdered in the woodland in Emmerdale?
(Picture; ITV)

The question mark is about to lift on what happened to Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) that night two weeks ago when the Emmerdale villagers headed off into Leeds for a night out.

Last night, Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) confessed to Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) that she had murdered Maya for what she had been doing to him, seemingly ending the speculation over whether or not the child abuser is still alive.

As Jacob desperately tried to glean information about where she is, Leyla told him that she had killed the woman in a fit of rage.

It certainly seems to have been the case – no one can get hold of Maya, and Leyla was seen trying to dispose of something relating to the teacher while almost getting caught.

But tonight will see what really happened as a flashback takes place, and Leyla confesses the whole truth of what she did, beginning with Leyla, Tracy (Amy Walsh) and Priya Sharma (Nicola Wade) confronting Maya outside of the club.

As they drive her away into the night, Maya is put under pressure and escapes the situation, but the girls take after her in hot pursuit.

As she tries to make her getaway, things take a terrifying turn – and it’s revealed what happens next.

Did Leyla kill Maya? Or could she be covering for someone else? Have the three of them buried a body in the woods?

Or could they have left her to die somewhere but she escaped? Could she have led them to believe she’s dead when in fact she is alive? The best way to find out – watch at 8pm tonight!

The cast of Emmerdale in the Big Night Out flashback episodes
What really happened on the Big Night Out? We’re about to find out…(Picture: ITV)

Emmerdale‘s Big Night Out has been life-changing for several of its characters, from Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) through to Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein).

The events of that fateful evening in the village are still unclear, although piece by piece things are starting to come together.

Whether it’s Victoria’s assault following the evacuation of the club, or the fate of Maya as the extent of her child abuse became clear, we still don’t have the full picture.

However all our questions are going to be answered for us in the flashback episodes to the Big Night Out this week.

So just when does the instalment in question air? Here’s what you need to know…

When is the Emmerdale flashback episode to the Big Night Out?

Emmerdale’s flashback to the Big Night Out is actually set to air across two episodes, on Tuesday night and Wednesday night at 7pm.

The episodes will see Victoria Barton open up about being raped on that night, after becoming a shell of her cheerful self, refusing to leave the house or confide in anyone.

Isabel Hodgins as Victoria Barton in Emmerdale
Victoria will finally reveal what happened that night (Picture: ITV)

As Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) attempts to get her to open up, she breaks down and tells her about the shocking events of that night – but can Moira persuade her to report it to the police?

The episodes will also focus on Maya Stepney’s whereabouts and what really happened in her woodland showdown with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).

Leyla has already been seen confessing to Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) that she murdered Maya, and given she hasn’t been since since she was bundled into a car by the girls, she could be telling the truth?

But is she really dead? The forthcoming episodes will no doubt reveal all.

Alice starred as the ‘feisty’ character in 2016 (Picture: BBC)

EastEnders’ Alice Nokes (Courtney Mitchell) has made a surprise cameo in Game Of Thrones episode The Last Of The Starks and our worlds are colliding.

Courtney’s got a second home in Winterfell, clearly.

The 20-year-old actress, who played Grant Mitchell’s (Ross Kemp) daughter back in 2016, had a slightly terrifying exchange with Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) and The Hound (Rory McCann) in the scenes following the Battle Of Winterfell.

In the ep, Alice’s alter-ego Willa told Tormund: ‘You can touch me, I’m not afraid of wildlings.’

He replied: ‘Maybe you should be …’ and started laughing before addressing Ser Sandor Clegane, saying: ‘Well, Clegane, it’s time to down those sorrows …’

Dubbing it her ‘two seconds of fame’, Alice excitedly shared the news with her Twitter followers.

Eastenders' Alice Nokes (Courtney Mitchell)
She took to Twitter to share her cameo (Picture: Twitter)

‘Catch me in my 2 seconds of fame on @GameOfThrones episode 4 xxxxx,’ she wrote, sharing a snap of the big moment.

Alice appeared in EastEnders in August 2016 as Courtney returned to Albert Square amid a crisis for her infamous Walford family, popping in to meet Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) in place of her father.

Alice admitted her character is ‘feisty’ and likes to party, but also has a ‘vulnerable’ side to her.

She said at the time: ‘She’s not a mean girl, she’s not malicious. She’s very kind-hearted and very much like her mum, Tiffany.

‘I think she’s vulnerable but in an endearing way. However, Courtney is confident and likes a party!’

Before her 2016 appearance, Courtney was last seen in Albert Square in 2006 when she was portrayed by Megan Jossa, the cousin of Jacqueline Jossa – who plays Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap.

With Courtney grabbing her dad’s hand, and leaving us as emotional wrecks at the pair’s departure to Portugal, we were left thinking they’d never return to the Square again.

Luckily, those Mitchells have a habit of not staying away for long.

Ellis is in grave danger thanks to brother Billy
(Picture: ITV)

Emmerdale’s Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie) has been on the hunt for who stuck the knife in his back, and thankfully it turns out it was only figuratively his brother.

It looked for a while like Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) could have done the most terrible thing and stabbed his own brother, but it turns out that he’s not a cold-blooded brother attempted murderer. He’s just a bit lost and afraid, having got himself mixed up in some dark stuff.

But it’s now become clear as to why not only Billy has the knife, but why he didn’t want his brother heading off to review the CCTV with the police – the knife belongs to Billy for one, and after finding Ellis bleeding to death, he called an ambulance and legged it, which wouldn’t have looked good either.

It transpired that Billy had been targeted by Riley’s brothers out for revenge after he’d shown up at the club to protect Billy from Max.

Billy had stashed the knife on himself in case of trouble, so when he was confronted he pulled it out.

As things escalated he ended up legging it from the lads but he left the knife behind.

Meanwhile, as Ellis tried to get a cab, he was approached by a girl who he ended up pulling after he heroically retrieved her coat and phone from inside the closed night club.

But after she walked off and left him, it became clear she was the sister of Riley and the other boys after Billy, and she gave them the order to kill Ellis with Billy’s knife.

As Ellis walked chatting on the phone to his apologetic brother, he was set upon by the group, who buried the knife deep in his back.

Billy ran to his side and found him bleeding badly, desperately calling the emergency services to save his life.

But as they arrived, he ran.

Thankfully Ellis pulls through as we already know, but how will he react when he hears the truth about what happened?

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has a secret lover
(Picture: BBC)

Well well, as if EastEnders’ Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) didn’t have enough secrets up his sleeve, turns out he’s got a secret lover to boot.

The mystery person was revealed in tonight’s episode as Ben got ready for the day and received a cheeky text, thanking him for the ‘hot’ night before from someone saved in his phone as ‘pecs guy’.

It read: ‘Last night was hot, more later?’ So Ben’s been getting some on the sly eh?

He seemed pretty pleased with himself too, having a little chuckle over the message as he got dressed.

He’s made no mention so far of seeing someone, so has he been seeing this guy all along or is this someone new? Are we about to get a brand new character in the Square?

No doubt viewers have been shown that text for a reason, so the likelihood is his lover is about to come waltzing into town.

Who is 'pecs guy'?
(Picture: BBC)

But does he have any idea who he’s involved with? Or will the mystery man be key in helping him bring down Phil?

Ben is still going full steam ahead with his quest to topple his dad from his high place, as he uses Jay to help exact the next stage of his plan by convincing him to reclaim the car lot from Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Is Ben yet another step closer to being the top dog of Walford?

Sonia accuses Stuart of being a child abuser
(Picture: BBC)

EastEnders’ Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) has been working hard to turn his life around, but when a dreadful accusation flies in his direction it looks like all his good work could be undone.

As he went about making Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) a belated birthday curry, his efforts were rewarded by the angry nurse verbally attacking him for getting with a school girl.

Disgusted at the accusation, he tried to defend himself, telling her he used to hunt such perverts, and that he was a changed man.

Sonia then reminded him of what happened with Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White), and he shamefacedly said that wasn’t who he was anymore.

But she wasn’t convinced, and he asked her who had been spreading such vicious lies – and he immediately guessed it had been Rainie Branning (Tanya Franks).

Rainie had got in Sonia’s ear, telling her that she was worried about Bex being left alone in the house with Stuart after having spotted him with a school girl in a bus stop.

But of course Bex isn’t in danger, Stuart is trying to help her through her drug addiction which Sonia knows nothing about, and Sonia’s accusation is all part of Rainie’s scheme to bring him down.

With Sonia unconvinced and the seed of doubt firmly planted, has Rainie’s plan begun to work?

EastEnders Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has certainly proven his ruthlessness, but could he be so cold as to tread on his own best mate to get at his dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden?

Ben has been working for weeks to bring down his dad Phil, but it hasn’t exactly gone smoothly. His latest plot to ruin Rainie’s (Tanya Franks) business to take over the car lot went belly up – that is until he stumbled on gold.

He discovered that Jay still owned the land that the car lot sits on, and realised he knew exactly what his next move would be – to get Jay Mitchell (Jamie Borthwick) to claim it back and then use that in his own master plan.

Ben tried to convince Jay to fight Max Branning (Jake Wood) for the plot, and though Jay voiced his concerns and said he had no desire to take it back over, Ben put pressure on him – all while keeping a beady and knowing eye on his dad across the bar.

Once Jay has that plot back though, it’s clear Ben doesn’t intend on the pair of them being brotherly business partners. Could Jay be inadvertently signing his life away by teaming up with Ben?

Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) go on the run

What an episode! Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) finally faced the music for her terrible abuse and we now know exactly what drama went down in that woodland in Emmerdale. But then a huge twist hit and left viewers reeling.

Right up until the end Maya proved just what a tricky character she was, lying through her teeth, faking serious injury, an absolute pro.

‘It’s not what you think,’ she tried to protest, but Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) had got her entirely pegged.

‘We think you’re a sick in the head paedo and it seems like we’re pretty bang on love,’ she seethed – the script writers were on fire in this episode!

No doubt viewers will have cheered at their screens as Tracy gave the abuser a vicious slap before she was forced into the car and driven off into the night.

But as Maya was backed into a corner and into essentially confessing to sleeping with Jacob, she concocted an escape plan and jumped from the moving car before rushing off into the woods.

When the women caught up with her she begged for their mercy, telling them it was love and that they did indeed have sex, but it was all consensual and that it had all happened by accident.

‘First rule, don’t have sex with the kids. Pretty basic Maya,’ Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) said.

There she feigned a broken leg and preyed on sympathetic Priya Sharma (Nicola Wade), who fell for her scams while Leyla and Tracy stood outside, believing Maya to have collapsed from a brain injury.

Priya turned her back for a second, and the abuser made a run for it.

But Leyla was a fierce lioness out to protect her cub, and tracked the paedophile down before attacking her.

‘He couldn’t get enough,’ Maya goaded of her sex life with the teen. As their fight got more vicious, Maya hit her and knocked her unconscious, believing she’d killed her.

When the girls finally found her, Leyla lied that Maya had run away.

But of course she was neither dead nor on the run – at that point. She woke up to find a missed call from Jacob, and desperately called him back, begging for help.

The two were then seen in a hotel bathroom, Maya covered in cuts as they spoke about the future – and it was Jacob’s suggestion to go on the run.

While she said she’d probably be arrested in the morning for her crimes, he told her he wanted them to take off and start a new life together – they have nothing to lose now.

Next week will see the next stage in the drama for these two as they hit the road – but Jacob’s guilty conscience catches him as he tries to contact his dad. But when Maya finds out, all hell breaks loose and he’s forced to prove his loyalty.

Holby City review with spoilers: Chloe’s world turned upside down, and Ric and Essie clash over Darla

Poor Chloe got the shock of her life
(Picture: BBC)

Ange (Dawn Steele) has been putting off telling Chloe (Amy Lennox) that Dominic is the brother she never knew she had. In tonight’s Holby City she told Dominic (David Ames) that the day had arrived – she would take Chloe out for sushi (Chloe’s choice) and tell her. Then if anyone cried they could blame it on the wasabi.

When we last saw Evan Crowhurst (Jack Ryder), he and Chloe were agreeing to give their relationship another try. That only lasted as long as half a holiday in Iceland, because she’s apparently dumped him. This made it awkward when the new locum on Keller turned out to be none other than Evan himself. Normally Chloe would have been safely on Darwin, but she was working with Ange while Dominic was on a training course. So let’s just say things were awkward.

Ange decided the best thing to do would be to get rid of Evan, so she called in a favour from a friend at The Mythical St James’s, and Evan was immediately offered a job there without applying for one, going to an interview or anything. He wasn’t thrilled by this news. ‘I’m massive on gut instinct,’ he told Ange, and his gut was telling him that he ‘loves the feel’ of Holby and wants to stay.

We’ve previously seen Evan messing up Cameron’s day by meddling with his computer files and he was at it again. In fact, there’s probably an IT job going for him at The Mythical St James’s if he wants it. What he did this time was to forward an email from Ange’s account to Chloe’s. The email was from Dom, wondering how Chloe would take the news. Ange pretended to Chloe that it was about a patient, but Chloe was suspicious. Then she ran into Carole Copeland (Julia Deakin) in Pulses and Carole, in her clumsy but well-meaning way, spilled the beans.

Chloe went straight off to find Ange, but a patient was inconveniently barfing blood so they had to fix him up first. With Ange, Chloe and Evan all in theatre the atmosphere wasn’t conducive to surgical concentration and Chloe had a panic attack and ran out. Evan went after her and Chloe told him about Dom. Later Chloe discovered from Dominic that he’d known he was Ange’s son for a few weeks, and also knows about Chloe’s father being a rapist. Chloe is now not speaking to Ange and it’s driven her back towards Evan, who must have been feeling quite pleased with his day’s work.

Ric (Hugh Quarshie)’s granddaughter Darla (Naomi Katiyo) turned up in AAU after bunking off school, where she was being bullied because she’s pregnant. Ric is trying his best to be as supportive and reasonable as he can with her and again outlined all her options about whether to go ahead with the pregnancy or not. It’s all complicated by Darla’s religious upbringing (her father has ‘washed his hands of her’) and her feelings of guilt, but she decided she wanted a termination.

So that’s where we’ve seen her before (Picture: BBC)

Later, as Essie (Kaye Wragg) was showing her how to make a bed like a proper nurse, it seemed that Darla was feeling pressured by Ric. Essie tackled Ric about this and he accused her of interfering because she doesn’t have any children of her own to worry about. This was just about the most hurtful thing he could have said to Essie and he apologised later. It also became clear that Darla didn’t want a termination after all. In fact she told Essie that she was going to give the baby up for adoption and wanted Essie to be the one to adopt it. Poor Essie was so emotional at this news, because there’s nothing she’d have liked better but she knew it wasn’t possible.

For comic relief we had Kian (Ramin Karimloo) winding Jac (Rosie Marcel) up on Darwin again. He was sure he recognised a patient, Victoria Parker (Sarah Douglas). He thought she was an actress but couldn’t remember what film she’d been in. There was an amusing conversation about films in which we learned that Jac is quite partial to Titanic: ‘There was room on that door,’ she muttered to herself, obviously still not over it. Eventually Kian realised that Victoria used to be ‘Molly Pecker’ and had once starred in a film that was generally agreed to be trash and borderline pornographic, but Kian liked it for it’s ‘artistic’ merits. Victoria admitted that the film had ruined her acting career. Kian really sweetly convinced her that she should agree to the heart surgery that she’d been reluctant to consent to and once she was recovered she should get back into the acting world.
