General Hospital is back in production and a date has been set for brand new episodes.

After an unprecedented hiatus in filming due to the Covid-19 industry-wide shutdown, the ABC soap successfully resumed shooting again on Wednesday.

And now the network has confirmed that this means fans can look forward to brand new episodes from August 3.

The daytime drama had been relying on themed reruns to fill the void since May, but in recent weeks GH had been repeated episodes that aired weeks before production stopped.

Fans had already guessed new episodes weren’t too far away after actors on the show revealed they were heading back to set.

Marc Anthony Samueal (Felix) posted a snap of himself on a coach wearing a mask as he wrote: ‘Workplace moda’.

When a fan asked if he was back at work, he replied: ‘yessir. Happily, and gratefully.’

Before that Josh Swickard (Chase) posted: ‘As I head back to work — and to a workplace that looks very different from before — I’m reflecting on how I spent my quarantine and what I learned.’

The show’s filming will follow COVID-19 safety protocols set by LA County, the City of Los Angeles and Television City’s owner Hackman Capital Partners.

In fact, its resumption only became possible after the producers reached agreements with the Hollywood guilds.

General Hospital is both the longest-running American soap opera currently in production and the longest-running scripted television drama currently in production.

General Hospital airs weekdays at 12pm (ET) on ABC.

(Picture: ITV/Metro.co.uk)

Emmerdale has confirmed where Vanessa Woodfield is as pregnant star Michelle Hardwick remains off-screen due to COVID-19 restrictions and then her maternity leave.

While the storyline involving Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) seeking to formally adopt her fiancee’s son Johnny will continue in Vanessa’s absence, Michelle’s character – who was diagnosed with character – will be off screen for the forseeable as she is staying with her mother.

We have yet to meet Vanessa’s mother on screen but fans are hopeful that when she eventually returns, she might bring her mum with her to add another layer to her backstory.

As for Charity, she is seeking the help of Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) to track down Kirin, whose permission is needed if she is to adopt Johnny.

With the help of Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), they end up doubting Priya’s story so Sarah eventually stuns Charity by breaking into Holdgate Cottage – and snatching Priya’s jewellery in the process.

But will she get any closer to finding information on Kirin?

Michelle, who is married to Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks, recently said of her break: ‘Charity adopting Johnny is a massive step in their relationship.

‘Obviously with me not being onscreen for the foreseeable due to my pregnancy, the story will continue going forward as Charity navigates her life and parenthood in the absence of Vanessa.’

Why EastEnders’ iconic ‘How’s Adam’ gaffe wasn’t in re-aired episode as fans left disappointed

EastEnders - Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning)
Jo Joyner’s gaffe went down in EastEnders history (Picture: BBC)

EastEnders fans have been left heartbroken after believing that the iconic ‘How’s Adam?’ gaffe was cut from a re-aired classic episode of the soap.

However, not all is as it seems.

With the soap re-airing some of its classic episodes after having to go off air due to the coronavirus crisis, this week fans enjoyed the live episode that was originally broadcast to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2015.

While all episodes that week featured live elements, the final episode was broadcast completely live, resulting in a pretty spectacular bit of television.

After many fans tuned in hoping to see Jo Joyner’s (Tanya Branning) historic gaffe, where she mistakenly referred to Ian Beale as actor Adam Woodyatt, asking ‘How’s Adam?’, they were left disappointed.

‘When you were singlehandedly responsible for the most memorable #EastEnders moment since Angie and the divorce papers, and they cut it. #HowsAdam,’ one viewer wrote.

Another added: ‘Can’t believe I sat through an old #EastEnders live episode purely to see Tanya f**k up her lines and they’ve actually cut it out! #howsadam.’

‘Can’t believe they cut the most iconic scene from the 30th Anniversary episode! #HowsAdam #EastEnders,’ one more said.

However, the scene wasn’t actually cut from the show – it happened in the episode before the hour-long special.

Nevertheless, fans haven’t had to go without their ‘How’s Adam?’ fix, as Jane Beale actress Laurie Brett discussed the classic moment on The One Show and revealed how she kept a straight face.

‘The problem was, the whole country knew it was live,’ the actress explained. ‘And [Jo] is a fantastic actress, I really felt for her.

‘I had no lines to say afterwards and I was thinking “what can I say?” and I was about to say “Tanya, have you been drinking?” when a third AD took the massive decision to throw Mimi [Keene, who played Cindy Beale] on early.’

Looking back at it, Laurie called the decision to send her younger co-star in for support earlier than planned as ‘brave.’ She continued: ‘Everyone was pulling together, I was just trying to think of something to say. Jo held it together, I held it together.’

The historic episode follows the ‘Who killed Lucy Beale?’ storyline.

Screened live to the entire country, it celebrated the soap’s milestone, and even included the return of Gillian Taylforth’s Kathy Beale after years of being presumed dead.

Holby City review with spoilers: More bad behaviour from Cameron, and Sacha tries to give Essie a reason to keep going

Essie and Sacha talk
(Picture: BBC)

John Barrowman made a guest appearance in tonight’s Holby City as top surgeon Drew Nicholson-Heath. It soon became clear that he and Ange (Dawn Steele) had history. ‘What are you doing here, Drew?’ she asked him. ‘Slumming it, I guess,’ was his reply.

What he was really doing at Holby was a bit of surgery and a bit of head-hunting – his nickname in surgical circles being ‘The Poacher.’ He had a reputation for spotting brilliant doctors and luring them to lucrative positions in Dubai. Cameron (Nic Jackman), who likes to think of himself as a brilliant surgeon, wasted no time in introducing himself. ‘You’re the son of the famous Bernie Wolfe,’ said Drew and Cameron immediately looked deflated because he can’t shake off that ‘Son Of’ title no matter how hard he tries. Drew sympathised. ‘Famous mother aside, you are better than they think you are,’ he said. ‘It’s a tough gig for a privileged young white man.’ Was he being sarcastic? Most likely, but Cameron agreed with him anyway.

John Barrowman
Slumming it, I guess (Picture: BBC)

When Cameron and Nicky (Belinda Owusu) both reached different conclusions when diagnosing patient Geoff (Gwynfor Jones), Ange agreed with Nicky. Cam had a go at Nicky for making him look bad. In theatre, they discovered that Nicky was right and Drew raved about how good she is. Humiliatingly for Cameron, after Nicky got to do the fancy work and get the credit in theatre, he was left to do the aftercare.

We’ve seen examples of Cameron’s ‘aftercare’ before and he was at it again, unpicking the stitches that were holding in a drain tube and telling Ange it had come loose because Nicky hadn’t stitched it properly. Cameron then gave Nicky £20,000 to pay off her debts and ‘just be free of pressure.’ He wasn’t being nice, he was ensuring that Nicky feels in his debt (even though he insisted the money was a gift rather than a loan), further undermining her confidence.

Sacha in Holby
Sacha resorts to desperate measures (Picture: BBC)

Drew Nicholson-Heath wasn’t fooled by Cameron. He offered Nicky a job in Dubai but she turned it down, thinking she’d messed up in theatre. Drew told Cameron that the drain had looked fine to him. ‘What about me?’ Cameron asked him, sure that now Nicky was out of the picture the Dubai gig was in the bag. ‘That’s not for you, Wolfe boy,’ said Drew. Cameron’s mature response was to get a pair of scissors and put a huge scratch down the side of Drew’s fancy car.

Elsewhere, Sacha (Bob Barrett) couldn’t cope with the idea that Essie (Kaye Wragg) was cancelling her gym membership and generally putting her life in order because there isn’t much of it left. An important thing she had to do was to tell Isla’s mother Frankie (Sophie Harkness) about her prognosis and make sure Isla was safely back in her mother’s care.

This was a step too far for Sacha, who was kind of hoping that Frankie was still on drugs so Essie would have to keep Isla. When that proved not to be the case, he begged Frankie to tell Essie she wasn’t yet ready to have the baby back. Frankie didn’t want to do that as that would make Essie think she was still unreliable, but Sacha was very persuasive. He wanted Essie to have a reason to keep going.

Essie was not thrilled when she heard the news. As much as she loves Isla, looking after her was exhausting. Dominic (David Ames) was very clear-eyed about what Sacha was doing, and told him he was being selfish and putting his own needs before Essie’s. ‘I know selfish,’ Dom said. ‘I majored in selfish, and everything you’re doing is about you, no one else.’

Ric tries to stay hopeful in Holby
Strictly be careful, Ric! (Picture: BBC)

Kian (Ramin Karimloo) tried to impress Jac (Rosie Marcel) by looking after Emma (Darcey Burke) for the day. To be fair he does seem very good with children. But he’s still taking those pills and even ordered in another supply – and also did a bit of surgery while under the influence. It can’t end well.

And when a reluctant bride on her hen night, Sheena (Rachel Lumberg), took a shine to Ric Griffin (Hugh Quarshie) in a rather sweet storyline, he decided to oblige her with a dance. While they were dancing he stumbled and fell, hurting his head. He seemed fine, but given his recent history Max (Jo Martin) wanted to do a scan. And it’s not good news – he has a problem in his brain that, without surgery, could be fatal. ‘You’re already on borrowed time,’ she warned him, leaving us fearing for the future of yet another Holby staff member.

Sue Haasler is the author of five novels and the official BBC Holby City book, which you can read about here.

Emmerdale spoilers: Shock return for Cara Robinson as she discovers Tracy Metcalfe and Nate’s baby news?

Cara in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) receives quite the shock in Emmerdale, as he discovers that girlfriend Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) is pregnant, but will such a discovery bring mum Cara (Carryl Thomas) back to the village?

There’s a huge week in store for the young lovers as, following an incident in which Tracy injures her wrist, Nate accompanies her to the hospital.

It’s here where they learn life-changing news, as a urine sample taken ahead of the scan reveals that Tracy is pregnant.

Speaking about the development, actress Amy Walsh — who portrays Tracy — told Metro.co.uk: ‘[It’s a] Total shock.

‘She thinks she’s been careful, she’s on the pill so it does come as a massive surprise and in general it’s quite shocking news to hear, they’ve not been together that long, it was not obviously planned, so they’re both a bit in shock for the first few minutes, hours, days.’

Nate in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Jurrel — who plays Nate — reveals that his character is similarly taken aback by the news, telling us: ‘I think this comes as a massive shock but I think Nate’s terrified and of course with his own family relations it makes him in a more terrified state.’

Yes, Nate’s family relations are somewhat complicated given all that’s transpired between he and biological dad Cain (Jeff Hordley) since arriving in the village, and therefore one can’t help but wonder if he’ll turn to mum Cara for support?

Jurrel is certainly keen for actress Carryl Thomas to return, as he told us: ‘I’ve made a nice friendship with her and it’s beautiful being with her on set.

‘I’d love to see her back on screen. Their relationship is complex and loving.’

Similarly, Amy thinks it would be great to see how Cara would react to the baby news.

She said: ‘It would be great to see her reaction to the baby as when she left they were just getting together and she was quite bitter and being quite aggy with Tracy for taking Nate away from her.

‘They made friends in the end but to see her relationship to tracy as well as being a grandparent and for Tracy to have that mother figure. Even when she was with David she didn’t have that, she’s had no one apart Val back in the day.’

In spite of her somewhat short stint, Cara was hugely popular with fans of the soap, and became instantly iconic, so a return would no doubt make many viewers happy.

Toyah and Leanne in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

It has long been the dream of fan favourite Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) to become a mother. She has endured some difficult journeys including IVF and surrogacy but it seemed for a long time that she would have to give up on ever having a child.

However, recently, she and Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) were approved as potential candidates in Coronation Street for fostering – leaving them delighted. But their joy was short lived when the bad news came through that Leanne’s (Jane Danson) son Oliver was terminally ill with mitochondrial disease.

Toyah eventually broached the subject of fostering with Leanne and it led to an almighty clash where Leanne delivered some extremely hurtful comments about Toyah being unable to be a mother so she can never understand the pain she feels.

Toyah told Imran that this was not the right time for them to go on this journey and they would have to put their plans on hold, leaving him feeling disheartened. But Leanne has since realised that it would be wrong of her to stand in the way of Toyah becoming a foster mum.

In upcoming scenes, Leanne finds herself upset once more when she comes face to face with a friend she made at a mother’s group who asks after Oliver.

Tearfully, Leanne explains to Toyah that she lied to her friend and said that Oliver was fine because it was easier that way – and now she feels ashamed.

As Toyah comforts her sister, Leanne appreciates how supportive she is being, particularly as she aches to be a mum herself.

After calming down, Leanne tells Toyah that she wants her to get the ball rolling on becoming a foster parent. Is Toyah – and indeed Leanne – ready to take this step?

And will Toyah finally find some joy as she and Imran continue their fostering journey?

Jamie is annoyed in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) feels like she is finally in control in Emmerdale after forcing husband Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) to choose her and also putting menacing mum-in-law Kim (Claire King) in her place – but she couldn’t be more wrong.

Thing is Andrea, blackmailing someone isn’t the best way to make them fall back in love with you, especially when you take joy in flaunting it in front of the woman he truly loves, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Jamie is by no means a saint in this – the love rat did cheat on his family and is also concealing the fact that he ran over and nearly killed Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).

So everything is a bit of a mess – and frankly, we’re a bit flummoxed as to why Andrea even wants to keep Jamie, never mind to go to such lengths.

But that’s where we’re at – Jamie is trapped and Andrea has what she wants.

Well, not really. Jamie can’t quell his feelings for Belle but nor can he tell his secret lover the full truth.

Tonight, he makes plans to defy Andrea – while maintaining the pretence that he is absolutely delighted to have been forced back into their marriage.

As he heads out, keeping a secret from Andrea and then goes behind her back tonight, what is he up to?

And will his already suspicious wife clock his behaviour and catch him out?

Emmerdale Kim Tate star Claire King quit social media after ‘cruel and nasty’ trolling

(Picture: ITV)

Social media can be a toxic place at the best of times; particularly if you are in the public eye and faceless trolls deem it their right to comment on every aspect of you – including your appearance – and expect you to take it.

But Emmerdale icon Claire King, best known for playing Home Farm villain Kim Tate, has revealed that she doesn’t need that negativity in life and that abuse from middle-aged women about how she looks led to her quitting social media entirely.

And she seems to be feeling better because of it.

She explained to OK! Magazine: ‘I just don’t have time for it or need it in my life. The comments get very personal and it’s always age- related. I don’t need somebody I don’t know being nasty for the sake of it.

‘I think everyone in the public eye gets trolled, it seems to be the in thing these days.’

She continued: ‘I had messages calling me a “wizened old woman”. It’s cruel and I don’t think it helps that Classic Emmerdale is shown on ITV3, so you can see me in my prime in the afternoon, then a few hours later I’ve aged 30 years in the current episodes on ITV.

‘Some have no profile picture, so I’d love to see what they look like. But surprisingly, a lot of trolls were middle-aged women.

‘I’d have thought women would stick together, but sadly not. I don’t have time for it and I don’t need it in my life so I just came off social media. You’d think people would be a bit kinder in this day and age with all the talk about mental health.’

Claire recently confirmed that she has yet to be written back in to Emmerdale due to her arthritis making her more at risk from COVID-19.

Home and Away spoilers: Georgie Parker reveals tragic journey ahead as Evan deteriorates

Evan and Roo
(Picture: Channel 5)

With the devastating diagnosis Evan has been hit with in Home and Away, Georgie Parker has warned of a devastating journey ahead for him and her character Roo as he deteriorates – particularly with Roo worried about how losing him might impact Ryder.

Ryder has only just started to get to know his dad and Roo, after agonising whether it would help him have his dad in his life, eventually relented when she discovered that Evan’s time is limited.

But the first priority in her mind, despite the emotion surrounding Evan’s worsening condition, is how Ryder is going to be impacted in the aftermath.

Georgie told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think it’s such a traumatic thing to have someone admit that they know they are going to die and that they’re scared, but they want to try and do one meaningful thing before they go so there’s the pressure of time, the pressure of the decision he has made and there’s also the grim reality that someone is going to lose their life, so it was a very intense time for Roo!

‘The whole point of the story is that it doesn’t have a happy ending and that’s why it has the emotional resonance that it does because they’re all saying goodbye and that’s what Evan has come to do. He’s come to say goodbye with as much respect and love as he can.

‘I think Roo’s concern was always “How is this going to affect Ryder?” Because before it was just him and Roo was his main carer, he knew his mum, but ultimately he had the family unit that he always wanted in the Bay.

‘And then it’s almost like an intruder comes along and says “I want a piece of that – I want a piece of your life” and so I think Roo is concerned about that for Ryder, how will this impact him and is this going to derail him at all?’

It may be an arduous time for Roo, Evan and Ryder on-screen but Georgie, who is approaching her 10 year anniversary in the show, still relishes being delivered scripts packed with angst and emotion.

She enthused: ‘Oh look, to be honest as actors we were so excited because it’s so meaty and there’s so many different things to play with. It’s such a dramatic situation so we were all really looking forward to being able to explore all those emotions and really jumping to the storyline!

‘It’s so much more exciting than going to the Diner and asking for a coffee! Ray and Lukas and I were all really excited by the challenge that this storyline gave us so we just jumped at it, and Cameron Daddo (who plays Evan) was so good to work with, so it was easy really.’

Life On Mars star Dean Andrews initially rejected by Emmerdale before Will Taylor role

Dean Andrews revealed he was initially rejected by Emmerdale when he was starting out his acting career.

The star – who also appeared on Life On Mars – has been delighting viewers in his role as Will Taylor for more than a year, but he attempted to break into the ITV soap years ago.

However, during a stint on This Morning, he told Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes his first audition didn’t go quite to plan.

‘I started acting really late in life, probably around about 40,’ the 56-year-old began.

‘But when I was in my mid-late 30s a friend of mine, who was in Emmerdale, said I should write to the casting director and ask her to bring me in for an audition. Which I did and she did, the lovely Sue Jackson.

‘I went in to play a Yorkshire radio presenter. I went in and did it in an American accent, for some unknown reason.’

‘The director was really kind, he said, “That was lovely, any chance you could do it in a Yorkshire accent?”

‘I said, “Of course, I am Mr Yorkshire,” and proceeded to do it again in the same American accent, and didn’t get the job.’

Yeah, that’s not ideal…

Thankfully Dean didn’t let this get him down, and popped up in the Dales last year – with no American accent or radio DJ in sight.

He hasn’t had the best time of it on the show, with Will going up against vile DI Malone.

The character recently snapped and decked the officer over the head with a wrench, but was left fearing for his own life when his nemesis survived the attack and disappeared.

How far will Malone go to extract revenge?

We’ll have to wait and see…

This Morning continues on weekdays, at 10am, on ITV.

Is Emmett in more trouble? (Picture: Channel 5)

It’s not been smooth sailing for Aaron (Matt Wilson) and David (Takaya Honda) ever since Emmett (Justin Ezra) came into their lives in Neighbours. He’s tested them to the max with his behaviour and lately he’s fallen in with a bad crowd, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

His brother Brent is set to come to town and when he arrives things will start to make sense as to why Emmett’s been finding things so tough.

Emmett is still strugging with the idea of school and feeling so behind, especially when without warning his teacher hits him with a pop quiz that he’s unable to finish. The pressure gets too much and he reacts the only way he knows how – by violently acting out.

Things don’t improve for the stressed out teen when Brent arrives. It’s not the happy reunion it could be as it quickly becomes evident Brent is a very bad influence indeed. And before long Brent reveals his future plans for Emmett that don’t involve him hanging around for too long.

Then the whatsit really hits the fan when Brent takes Emmett off into the city and they stay out until the early hours of the morning.

By the time they arrive back in Erinsborough its too late for Brent to go back to residential care so he’s allowed to stay at Aaron and David’s, but that means Brent just has more opportunity to talk to Emmett the next day about him getting an apartment and having Emmett come and live with him. They know Emmett is not only at risk from his brother’s actions but also from his harmful words, so they confront Brent with the realities of renting and raising a child. Brent is furious with their interference and storms out, forcing Aaron goes on the hunt for him.

When he finds him he gets the lad to open up and he reveals just how awful his past has been. All he wants is to be with his brother.

Will Emmett convince them to let Brent stay? (Picture: Channel 5)

So Aaron has an idea, he thinks they should give Brent a home – now he just has to get David on board. David is dead against the bonkers idea of taking Brent on too, it’s not like having Emmett has been easy. He vents to Kyle, unaware Emmett overhears, and then the kid goes on the best behaviour act in the hope it means his big brother can come to stay.

But Emmett goes into overdrive as he offers to clean the house and displays troubling levels of anxiety. They realise he’s afraid of being moved on again and when he finally reveals he knows they are considering allowing Brent to stay, they realise the poor child is just terrified of losing everything. Aaron and David have a huge decision to make, and fast.

Scenes air from Monday 3rd August on Channel 5.

Where is Kim Tate and when is she back in Emmerdale?

Emmerdale might be back filming following the coronavirus shutdown earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve welcomed every character back to the screen.

Among those we’re not likely to see much of in the coming months is Kim Tate (Claire King) – with her daughter-in-law Andrea (Anna Nightingale) very much in charge of things at Home Farm – and Kim having been sent on holiday in last week’s episodes.

So just where is Kim – and when can we expect to see her back in the Dales?

Here’s what you need to know…

Where is Kim Tate and when is she back in Emmerdale?

There’s no big mystery as to Kim Tate’s absence – it’s simply that she’s not in the soap at the moment as actress Claire King has yet to return to filming following lockdown.

The actress is among cast members who are unable to return to the set at the moment, due to her suffering from arthritis, which means she has been classed as vulnerable in the current pandemic.

Claire told OK! Magazine: ‘I have arthritis, so my immune system is compromised, which makes you more at risk of catching the virus.

‘I’m not back at Emmerdale yet, so it’s a case of waiting to be written back in,’ she added.

‘When I get a flare up, it’s not nice and it does make you feel very tired. If I’m on location in winter, the cold feels like it gets to your bones.

‘Often people, don’t see it as an issue because you aren’t in a wheelchair or limping, but they look after me on the show and give me more indoor scenes during winter.

‘I have to have my buttons done up for me by the costume people now, and I can’t wear killer heels any more!

‘You’ll notice Kim mostly wears riding boots now.’

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.

Does Aggie have coronavirus in Coronation Street?

Ed and Aggie in Coronation Street
Aggie will be forced to self-isolate in coming episodes (Picture: ITV)

Resident Corrie nurse, Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) will be forced to self-isolate in Coronation Street, hampering husband Ed’s (Trevor Michael Georges) plans to celebrate their anniversary via a virtual party.

Ed had made plans for the pair to celebrate, together with the community who he had invited to their virtual soirée.

However, he will be dealt a blow tonight when Aggie tells him she is being forced to self-isolate after one of her colleagues displayed symptoms of the virus.

Like many nurses off-screen, Aggie has been working on the frontline throughout the pandemic, putting herself in immediate danger, in order to treat others. Will she be okay?

It is not yet known if Aggie has tested positive for the virus, but one thing is clear: she’ll have to self-isolate for the foreseeable future.

On a call tonight, she tells her husband that one of her colleagues has shown symptoms of the virus, meaning everyone who has worked with them has to go into quarantine.

It’s not yet confirmed just how long that will be, but if Corrie follows current NHS advice, she’ll self isolate for 14 days.

Naturally, Ed is gutted at such a revelation – not only could his wife potentially have the virus, but they won’t see each other for their Pearl wedding anniversary.

Luckily, they’ll manage to have a romantic virtual dinner later, with Aggie dialling in from her hotel room – seemingly in good health.

Will things remain that way?

Emmerdale spoilers: Harriet Finch and DI Malone’s affair exposed as Will Taylor discovers a huge clue?

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was left with questions aplenty in Emmerdale, after he discovered DI Malone’s (Mark Womack) wallet on the floor of the church.

Will left Malone for dead last week, but matters were complicated further when the bent copper — evidently not dead — disappeared before he was able to dispose of the body.

With Billy’s (Jay Konztle) assistance, he searched the village from top to bottom — desperately trying to locate Malone before it was too late.

Little did he know that the dodgy detective had taken up residence in the church, and upon finding him in a terrible state, Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) allowed him to stay the night.

Tonight’s episode saw Will’s anxiety worsen, as he feared his actions would come back and haunt him.

Meanwhile, Malone enlightened Harriet about what had transpired — putting the blame for his attack firmly on Will.

Dawn (Olivia Bromley) had a word with Harriet in regards to Will, confirming that she’s extremely worried about him, and thus the vicar checked in on her beau.

However, as Will assisted Harriet in putting some books away in the church, he found Malone’s wallet on the floor.

His interest was piqued, and confused washed over his face, but will he put two and two together?

Will he come to realise that Harriet has been having an affair with Malone?

Will the truth out at last?
