EastEnders spoilers: Ben Mitchell fears Callum Highway will die as he struggles to pay Keanu Taylor off

(Picture: BBC)

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) was horrified in EastEnders when he discovered that Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was not only alive, but that he’d kidnapped Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay) in an effort to get revenge, and thus the young man set about meeting his blackmailer’s demands — but he soon realised that doing so was going to be a lot more difficult than he’d hoped it would be.

Callum was due to undertake his police assessment during yesterday’s episode, and— after receiving some much-needed encouragement from boyfriend Ben — he prepared for his big day. However, what he wasn’t prepared for was the unexpected arrival of Keanu, who showed up on his doorstep, and proceeded to kidnap him.

After realising Callum hadn’t shown up for his assessment, Ben paid another visit to the flat about Coker’s, and he was left speechless when he set his sights upon a very much alive Keanu — who was tightly gripping Callum’s red tie.

A distressed Ben quizzed his adversary about Callum’s whereabouts, but Keanu was having none of it, as he demonstrated how he would be calling the shots from now on.

The young mechanic proceeded to make a demand for £100,000 — something which left Ben at a loss for words — and he revealed that if he was to tell anyone about him being back in Walford, then he would never see Callum again.

(Picture: BBC)

Wasting little time, Ben headed round to Dot’s (June Brown) to confront Martin (James Bye) over his failure to murder Keanu, and the whole truth — albeit expect Linda’s (Kellie Bright) involvement — came to light.

Throughout the episode, Ben wracked his brains, as he deliberated the best course of action in order to get Keanu what he wants, but problems ensued when Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) left Lexi — who’d been sent home early from school due to being unwell — in his care.

(Picture: BBC)

Meanwhile, at what appeared to be an abandoned factory, Keanu apologised to Callum for getting him involved, but claimed it was the only way ot ensure that he gets what he needs.

Callum proceeded to defend Ben, revealing that the young man was cut up about his actions all over the festive season, but — in doing so — he’d put his foot in it, as he ended up revealing that he knew about what Ben had done. An angry Keanu claimed that such a thing made Callum just as bad as his boyfriend.

As Ben attempted to come up with a solution, he received a phone call from Keanu, who proceeded to send him a picture of a bound and gagged Callum — who was sporting a lot more injuries than we’d last seen on him — which resulted in the Mitchell lad promising to get him what he needed.

An emotional Ben screamed, as he pondered what to do next.

Keanu has demonstrated the lengths he’s willing to go to in order to get what he wants, and Callum’s revelation has seemingly put him in danger, so Ben has every reason to be worried about his beau’s safety.

The question is: will he manage to save him before it’s too late?

EastEnders continues Thursday 13 February at 7:30pm on BBC One.

Holby City review with spoilers: Cameron reveals his nasty side again as Nicky’s situation becomes desperate

Sacha and Nicky in Holby City
Singles Awareness celebration (Picture: BBC)

Nicky (Belinda Owusu)’s money worries were front and centre in tonight’s Holby City. We saw her last week ‘acquiring’ Cameron (Nic Jackman)’s mum’s necklace, which she pawned to try to raise cash to pay off nasty Steve (John Wark). He proved to be not that easy to get rid of, though, as he kept turning up menacingly at her flat and her workplace to demand more and more cash. Poor Nicky was at the end of her tether.

A patient, Harry (Nish Nathwani), who needed a heart operation offered a financial way out. His surgery wasn’t urgent, but he wasn’t prepared to go on the waiting list because he was desperate to fly to India where his father was dying.

He couldn’t afford to go private – but he could afford to give a large cash incentive to a young doctor who may be able to help him fake an emergency so he could have his surgery straight away. Jac (Rosie Marcel) was suspicious. ‘Nobody likes a queue jumper,’ she said, but assumed that Harry’s apparent insider knowledge of exactly what symptoms to present with had come from the internet rather than him being coached by Nicky.

Nicky also had misgivings, but she was desperate. Everything went horribly wrong while Harry was in theatre when another patient had a real emergency and Jac was left darting from one theatre to another making sure her junior colleagues could cope. Nicky was so upset by the whole business that she told Harry she didn’t want his money.

Eventually she had to admit to Cameron what was going on and he came up with a Cunning Plan to record Steve, so his blackmailing would be exposed. The plan wasn’t as cunning as Cameron thought, as Steve realised exactly what he was doing and decided he’d ask for even more money as a result. So Cameron pinned him against a wall and threatened him with harm if he didn’t back off.

Cameron in Holby City
His nicer side (Picture: BBC)

Cameron really is showing some very nasty traits recently, and he was at it again back at the flat where he’d prepared a lovely fairy-light bedecked picnic for Chloe (Amy Lennox). He gave her his mum’s necklace, which Nicky had retrieved (with Cameron’s money), and they kissed. Chloe is still feeling fragile following being raped by Evan and she told Cameron she wasn’t ready to go further. His sulky response of ‘Really?’ made her very upset and angry. Added to his horrible treatment of Jason recently, Cameron’s personality seems to be going downhill fast.

I know Cameron has recently lost his mum, but we can’t blame all of his recent behaviour on grief. Just look at Sacha (Bob Barrett), who has also suffered the loss of a dear family member but who copes with it by being thoughtful and kind and lovely. He was helped this week by having a bit of time to chat to a Rabbi (David Horovitch) while he sorted out his varicose veins. Sacha revealed that he’s been trying to reduce his depression medication because it made him feel ‘flat.’ The Rabbi’s advice was that Sacha should take whatever help he can get and not try to rush things.

Jac Naylor in Holby City
Jac supervises (Picture: BBC)

Sacha, Dominic (David Ames) and Nicky all celebrated ‘Singles Awareness Day,’ by having a drink together at Albie’s. Ben (Charlie Condou) was taking Essie (Kaye Wragg) to a Michelin starred restaurant, which Sacha and Dominic thought was very amusing because Essie is so not an amuse bouche kind of woman.

One couple who continue to get things right are Donna (Jaye Jacobs) and Xavier (Marcus Griffiths). Initially she was unimpressed by his Valentine’s gift of a garden bench – a self-assembly one as well. But then she heard that he’d had it engraved with a lovely message and it was a symbol of their future together, and she realised, yet again, that he’s a Keeper.

Sue Haasler is the author of five novels and the official BBC Holby City book, which you can read about here.

Holby City continues Tuesday 18 February at 8pm on BBC One.

Hollyoaks spoilers: Maxine Kinsella in danger as Liam Donovan takes drastic action to make her pay

Maxine in Hollyoaks
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Maxine Kinsella (Nikki Sanderson) has been through a lot over the past year in Hollyoaks, but Liam Donovan (Jude Monk McGowan) doesn’t care too much about that, as he’s hellbent on making her pay for the part he believes she played in Jesse’s (Luke Jerdy) death, and thus he’s been scheming in an effort to get revenge — something which he takes to the next level in the coming episodes.

After Jesse met his demise last month, Liam made clear that the person he holds responsible is none other than Maxine — whom he believes has a bit of a habit for destroying the men in his family. Therefore, he wasted little time in putting together a plan to exact revenge on the young woman, and used her need for money in an attempt to get her attention.

In the coming episodes, Maxine finds herself with little choice but to turn to Liam for help once more, as the landlord arrives at her door and threaten to throw her out. She manages to buy herself a day to come up with a solution, but — out of options — she heads to see Liam.

Liam offers her a job at Donovan’s salon — much to her delight — but later in the week, he continues to throw darts at the photo of her on the dartboard.

Maxine gives Lisa (Rachel Adedeji) a job but she continues to be hounded by her landlord, and thus she seeks out Liam once more and asks him for an advance.

She agrees to see his associate Clayton again, so Liam buys her some new furniture — not to mention a red dress so that she can entertain the young man.

She meets Clayton at The Dog, and — later — she pays back what she thinks she owes Liam for the salon re-opening, but is distraught when she learns that she also owes him for the new furniture.

What is Liam up to?

It’s clear that he’ll hellbent on making Maxine pay — quite literally — but what is his endgame?

Matty stands up to them but the situation soon turns dangerous and with the threat of violence, Matty and Amy try to escape. But just as it looks like there is nowhere to run and they are going to be seriously hurt, Moira rocks up, gunning for payback.

As she stands up to the rustlers, they are initially cocky and think Moira wouldn’t have the guts to pull the trigger – but they soon realise they are messing with the wrong farmer here. Will they make the sensible decision and get out of Moira’s line of fire or will she rain hell on them?

Bethany Platt in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

It’s fair to say that feelings between Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and grieving widower Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) are mixed at best in Coronation Street. With Bethany having fallen hard for the brooding Barlow, Daniel’s head is all over the place since he lost Sinead.

He is trying to fool himself into thinking he has dealt with his demons and is ready to move on and there is a definite spark between him and Bethany. However, it’s ever so slightly awkward that he seems to see Sinead when he looks at her, which might cause a few issues down the line.

As a form of distraction to what is going on in his head, Daniel has been helping Bethany with her mission to expose sex pest Ray Crosby (Mark Frost), who makes a habit of making indecent proposals against females he is working with.

Bethany and Daniel in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

When the Gazette are not interested in the story as Bethany doesn’t have enough evidence to support her claims (and they’re probably leading with the story of ‘Man who has lived in Weatherfield 80 years is moving’), she decides to make the bold step of exposing Ray online.

As the news of his sleazy dealings spread, Ray has some firefighting to do and Bethany feels satisfied that she may have protected other women from feeling abused and vulnerable like she once felt.

Daniel is proud of her and when they share a moment, it leads to another kiss. But the moment is interrupted by a fizzing Beth Tinker (Lisa George), who lets rip at them both for insulting Sinead’s memory.

As they feel awkwaerd after this, Bethany assumes that nothing can come of her infatuation – but Daniel has been given food for thought and soon makes a surprising decision.

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday 12 February at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.

Elly and Finn well and truly cross the line (Picture: Channel 5)

Finn Kelly (Rob Mills) and Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) have been dancing around their feelings for weeks in Neighbours, even from before Aster’s dramatic birth. But they’re about to swap their dance for a game of tennis as things get heated. Tonsil tennis, that is.

It’s the day of Aster’s naming ceremony and things are starting to go wrong. Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) can’t make it because of work commitments, and Aaron (Matthew Wilson) breaks the news that he can’t make it either. He needs to stay with Mark (Scott McGregor) who’s in town and struggling at seeing Elly and Aster.

Elly’s also finding things tough as Finn is avoiding her as he can’t handle his own feelings of guilt at fancying his sister’s girlfriend. Basically, it’s all a right old mess.

And things are set to get even trickier when Finn and Elly are thrown together and they finally cross that line.

Finn is hit by a memory that sees him plant a smacker on Elly, who is left just as shaken as he is by the sudden memory. He is perturbed by the sudden memory and his own actions, but Bea is completely oblivious to its true meaning, and she is left attempting to comfort him as Elly flees.

Bea is set for heartbreak when she finds out about Finn and Elly

Later, when Finn is alone, Elly returns they agree between themselves to pretend nothing happened at all and to forget it all. Elly is clearly a trigger for him.

But Finn is crippled by guilt and he’s on the verge of confessing. Will he tell Bea everything – including about the kiss? And is he at the point where he can no longer deny his feelings?

Felix Westwood in Hollyoaks

Richard Blackwood has revealed all about what viewers can expect from his Hollyoaks character Felix Westwood.

News of Richard’s casting in the Channel 4 soap was revealed last month, when it was confirmed that he’d be portraying an old flame of Martine Deveraux’s (Kelle Bryan) — and the father of her twins Mitchell (Imran Adams) and secret brother Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon).

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, actor Richard said: ‘He’s a dark character. He grew in a children’s home and you find throughout the story there are things that happened that conditioned him to be how he is.’

‘He’s a bit desensitised from emotion in that sense.’

‘End of March you’re going to see me.’

‘Trust me guys, ‘Hollyoaks’ have gone in.’

Richard also spoke about how positive his experience has been at Hollyoaks thus far, and how Felix is the first role that he didn’t have to audition for.

‘It’s the first programme that I didn’t have to audition for. They offered me the role and it made me know that the work I’ve been putting in over the years they’ve been watching, so I want to thank ‘Hollyoaks’ for that.’

‘They approached me and said they would love to have me on the show.’

‘When I had the character meeting they were so hands-on with me, we were supposed to be in there for an hour and we were in there nearly two hours. ‘

Richard Blackwood is undoubtedly best known for playing Vincent Hubbard in EastEnders — a role which he played for three years between 2015 and 2018.

During that time, he featured in some of the BBC One serial drama’s most prolific storylines, from iconic relationship with Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) — as well the birth of their daughter Pearl — to Fatboy’s (Ricky Norwood) demise.

Hollyoaks continues Wednesday 12 February at 7pm on E4.

Jacqueline Jossa revealed husband Dan Osborne didn’t watch her on EastEnders.

The 27-year-old starred on the BBC One soap for around eight years, winning a handful of awards for her stint as Lauren Branning.

But, during an appearance on Lorraine, the reigning queen of the I’m A Celebrity jungle admitted her Towie star beau missed all of it.

What exactly were you doing, hun?

Playing a game of Mr and Mrs ahead of Valentine’s Day, she explained that she watched more TV than the 28-year-old – whom she shares daughters Mia and Ella with.

‘He didn’t even watch EastEnders when I was in it,’ she fumed.

‘I’d be like, “Babe, did you see me on EastEnders tonight?” “Nah.”’

A little harsh, Dan…

Attempting to clear things up, Dan added: ‘I don’t watch TV, I don’t watch anything. I just watch kids’ films with the kids.’

Jacqueline previously teased a possible return for her EastEnders character – who left Albert Square in 2018 to start a new life in New Zealand.

As you do.

Speaking about a Walford comeback, she said: ‘Maybe one day, I’d never say never.

‘I got thrown off a building and I hobbled off on a walking stick.

‘She’s somewhere, she might be in New Zealand, or something,’ she added. ‘I loved it, there it was amazing.’

As well as this, Jac has also been linked with a stint on Our Girl, replacing fellow soap star Michelle Keegan.

The former Coronation Street star announced that she was quitting the role last month, in a bid to ‘pursue new roles’.

And it has been claimed the jungle queen is hoping to step into her shoes.

‘Jacqueline is keen to replace Michelle on Our Girl and has been encouraged to go for it by her former colleague and pal Lacey,’ a source told The Sun.

‘And bosses at the Beeb want a mainstream signing and feel the Queen Of The Jungle fits the bill perfectly.’

We would love this to happen.

Emmerdale star Gemma Oaten has shared the sad news that her grandma has died and, in a moving and poignant post, she has shared her devastation that she wasn’t able to make it to see her one last time as she rushed from being on tour in Edinburgh.

The actress, best known for playing Rachel Breckle in the ITV soap, has been flooded with messages of support after she shared a loving montage of photographs of herself and her grandma.

On Instagram, she wrote: ‘I can’t believe I’m writing this. Doesn’t seem real. As many know I couldn’t believe it that I’d managed to get home to Hull from Edinburgh where we’d been on tour, amidst the storm, and was determined as wanted to see grandma so bad, who had been in hospital all last week.

‘I even made a comment that Grandad had got me home…looking down from up above. Sadly I was too late. I made it home expecting to visit her but when I got to our house, Mum and dad had to tell me she had died that morning. Words fail me. I am distraught and devastated. She was everything. And I just wanted one last time with her.

‘But I guess she wanted our memories as in these pictures. Laughter, Love, friendship, crisps and wine. She knew. And god love her she waited until I was home with our family and my Ruby, when I could have been anywhere in the country. In time this will bring me comfort, but right now…day by day I guess.

‘I’m now in York with @bklproductions Ten Times Table at @grandoperahouse_york and got through last 2 nights show because of the love and compassion of such an amazing cast and crew. I can’t thank them enough. This week is for you grandma. The show must go on.

‘She loved the play and I’m so grateful she saw me in it. She loved me for me. She loved us all so much. Time will heal. Grief is universal. Cherish life and loved ones while you have them always. Take a breath and don’t miss what’s in front of you. Sleep well Grandma Jackson, Grandad will hold you and love you for eternity up there ♥ #grandma #angels #rip #loveyoueternally’ (sic)

She has since thanked her followers for their messages of love and support, saying: ‘Words fail me. Thank you for the countless messages re my Grandma passing. It all feels so unfair… I was so close to home. But I know now in my heart she wanted me to remember her in a certain way every night I’m on stage is for her now. Love and thanks to all. EastEnders disputes accusation that boat disaster has copied real life tragedy

EMBARGO UNTIL 11TH FEB: EastEnders 35th anniversary
(Picture: BBC)

EastEnders has denied claims that their upcoming boat tragedy, which will see a character die when a party boat gets into trouble on the Thames, is based on the tragedy in 1989 which saw the Marchioness pleasure vessel hit by a dredger, resulting in the deaths of 51 people on board.

The soap will next week air tragic scenes and a recent trailer showed footage of water filling the interior of the boat, including a scene which involves Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) trying to smash down a blocked door and a moment which sees things look bleak for a trapped Mick and Linda Carter (Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright).

One of the survivors of the tragedy, Mark Brewer-Sage, told The Sun: ‘The trailer with the boat going through the central arch of Southwark Bridge gave me major anxiety. I don’t see this as a coincidence. They could have shot on any of the other bridges.’

An EastEnders spokesperson has since clarified that the filming didn’t take place near Southwark Bridge and added in a statement: ‘EastEnders is a fictional drama and isn’t based on any real life events; we always carefully consider the content of our episodes.’

While the full storyline details are being kept under wraps, Metro.co.uk understands that the scenes in EastEnders – which are part of its 35th anniversary week – do not involve the boat making a collision and spoilers such as a violent fight between Ben and Phil Mitchell (Max Bowden and Steve McFadden) and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) could be one of the many possible human triggers of the crisis.

Linda is also seen getting increasingly drunk and making a spectacle of herself while teetering near the edge while Ian seeks revenge on Dennis Rickman (Blue Landau) and Jack and Max Branning (Scott Maslen and Jake Wood) end up in a punch up.

Moira Dingle in Emmerdale
She’s baaaaaack – Moira’s returning to Emmerdale (Picture: ITV)

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) didn’t exactly have the best 2019 on Emmerdale, and she ended up fleeing the village last month to get her head on straight again.

In the wake of the breakdown of her marriage following her affair with Nate (Jurrell Carter) Moira turned to the bottle to cope.

Her reliance on alcohol soon spiralled out of control, with her losing clients due to her unprofessional behaviour.

Now however, Moira’s set to return with a bang, but where did she leave Emmerdale for in the first place?

Where has Moira Dingle been?

Moira has been staying with Nana Barton while she’s been away from Emmerdale.

She never made clear exactly how long she’d be gone for, and her sudden reappearance is sure to make quite the stir but it seems Moira has come back just when she – or perhaps just her shotgun – is needed the most.

Moira will make a heroic re-entrance to the soap when she comes to her son Matty’s (Ash Palmisciano) rescue.

Tonight, after sheep go missing, Matty and Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) find themselves surrounded by a gang of rustlers.

Matty stands up to them but the situation soon turns dangerous and with the threat of violence, Matty and Amy try to escape.

Just as it looks like they might be in for a world of hurt, Moira comes and stands up to the rustlers.

At first they don’t think Moira would have the guts to pull the trigger – but they soon realise they’re mistaken. Will they make the sensible decision and get out of Moira’s line of fire or will she make them rue the day they messed with her child?

Emmerdale is next on tonight at 7pm on ITV.

When is Bethany Platt leaving Coronation Street?

Bethany in Coronation Street
Bethany is due to leave Coronation Street in the near future (Picture: ITV)

Things are set to get even more complicated between Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in Coronation Street tonight, as they kiss once again – only to be caught by Beth Tinker (Lisa George), who accuses them of insulting Sinead (Katie McGlynn)’s memory.

The pair have been growing closer for some time now, and Daniel’s set to go public with their relationship despite his initial reservations, as he struggles to move on from Sinead’s death.

But while Bethany might have fallen for him, it seems the course of true love won’t run smooth for the pair, given she’s due to depart the cobbles very soon in what show bosses have called a ‘heartbreaking’ exit.

So just when is Bethany leaving? Here’s what you need to know…

When is Bethany Platt leaving Coronation Street?

Although we don’t know the exact date, it’s been reported that Bethany will leave in March – with Lucy having already filmed her final scenes on the soap.

Lucy said on Twitter as she announced her departure: ‘After the most incredible 4 years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020.

Daniel and Bethany have already grown closer (Picture: ITV)

It’s hard to put into words how much this show means to me. ‘I’ve made lifelong friends with some of the most talented and hardworking people in the industry, I’ve had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I’ve laughed with the best people everyday.’

The actress recently filmed her final scenes and admitted it was emotional, as she called her time on the soap ‘the most incredible 5 years of my life.

‘It’s so crazy to me that 5 years ago, I had just finished 6th form and had no idea what direction life was going to take me in,’ she added. ‘I never in a million years expected that I would be calling Gail platt a friend.

But here we are… and I’m grateful for every single second of it. It’s such a cliche, but the platt family really are a second family to me.’

How will Bethany leave Coronation Street?

We don’t know exactly how Bethany will depart the soap but expect there to be tears.

Show boss Iain Macleod recently told metro.co.uk: What we wanted to make sure once Katie had left the show was that we didn’t have nothing for Rob Mallard to be doing. So, what we have is at first a slow-burn story that gradually ramps up in intensity where Daniel in his efforts to move on from Sinead sort of takes her edict that he should be happy. I’m sure you’ll remember the line where she said, “Don’t forget about me, but do forget about me”.

‘He sort of gets his head around all of that and ends up accelerating into a romantic entanglement with Bethany which I think we will all know relatively early on is going to end in tears for both of them. That’s a really good story for Rob and really showcases his abilities, gives Bethany and Lucy Fallon something entirely new to do, this doomed romance, so that’s going to be really big over the first 3-4 months or so.’

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday night on ITV at 7.30pm.

Is Geoff cheating on Yasmeen in Coronation Street?

Yasmeen and Geoff from coronation street
Geoff has been abusing Yasmeen (Picture: ITV)

The cruel and abusive Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew)’s treatment of his wife Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has shocked fans, as he’s convinced poor Yasmeen and others that she’s an alcoholic.

Evil Geoff has also hidden cameras all over her home and even taken her cash cards away from her.

As if that weren’t more than enough for one person to be dealing with, Geoff may soon step up his foul treatment of his wife…

Is Geoff cheating on Yasmeen on Coronation Street?

It’s not yet known for sure whether Geoff is cheating on his wife, but we do know that he will soon be seen meeting a stranger.

If he is having an affair, then there’s every chance he’d use that as yet another way to make Yasmeen feel worthless.

Ian said of the storyline: ‘I knew where it was going but I wasn’t sure how far it was going to go. All the early stuff was deliberately ambiguous as I wasn’t entirely sure how it was going to develop.

‘Since then it has become clearer that his behaviour is becoming more and more unacceptable in a sociological sense and it is very interesting to play, it is difficult, he is not a moustache twirling villain so with that comes challenges as he is the sort of villain who has very few if any redeeming features.

‘I am shocked each week when I get my scripts and find out what he is going to do next.’

While most people in Weatherfield are none the wiser when it comes to his abuse of Yasmeen, his facade as a loving husband is starting to crack as Tim (Joe Duttine) and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) know that Geoff cruelly locked his wife in a box under the pretence of practising for a magic trick.

The claustrophobic Yasmeen was left to have a panic attack while Geoff went to the pub.

Eventually, Tim (Joe Duttine) came to her rescue and forced the box open, and later he agreed with Eileen (Sue Cleaver) that shutting one’s wife in a box is far from normal.

Could Geoff’s vile secret finally be about to come to light?

Coronation Street is next on tonight at 7:30pm on ITV.

Emmerdale spoilers: What is Pierce Harris planning as he steals a set of Kim Tate’s keys?

Kim and Pierce in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Pierce Harris’ (Jonathan Wrather) master plan has yet to come to light in Emmerdale, but during tonight’s episode a series of fortunate events resulted in the murderer gaining access to one of the properties owned by Kim Tate (Claire King), which prompts the question as to what exactly he needs it for?

After faking an accident outside Home Farm, Pierce managed to charm Kim into believing he was a family law solicitor named Ollie, and therefore — what with her needing some advice on this front as a result of Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) and Andrea (Anna Nightingale) going to war — she pretty much hired him on the spot.

Sporting glasses and a posh suit, Pierce hoped to keep his identity concealed, but his secret was put at risk during last night’s episode, as Al (Michael Wildman) grew suspicious of his motives, and therefore did some digging.

Pierce is up to something (Picture: ITV)

Being the master manipulator that he is, Pierce was able to talk his way out of Al’s questions during tonight’s episode, and concocted a narrative that once again painted him in a positive light.

Meanwhile, Al was tasked with organising the keys of all the properties that Kim owns, including Mulberry cottage, Dale View and Wylie’s farm.

While Kim and Al found themselves distracted, Pierce stole one particular set of keys and headed out.

His motives for doing so remain unclear, but with Al becoming something of a thorn in his side, perhaps he was simply intending on getting his adversary into trouble with Kim?

Or perhaps he intends on using the keys — and thus the corresponding property — for his own gain?

Emmerdale continues Thursday 13 February at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.

Moira in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) had become a shell of her former self the last time we saw her in Emmerdale, but she made one hell of a return during tonight’s episode, as she rescued Matty Barton (Ash Palmisano) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) from impending danger, before making it clear to Cain (Jeff Hordley) that she will be seeing Kyle and Isaac the following day, as they need her as much as she needs them.

With Matty holding the fort up at Butlers, Cain became somewhat perturbed when he came to learn that rustlers had been sniffing about, and thus attempted to warn Matty about the impending danger. However, the young man refused to listen to his stepdad, and turned him away on multiple occasions.

Cain’s worries came to pass during tonight’s episode, as the rustlers showed up and attempted to threaten both Matty and Amy into helping them round up the sheep.

Matty and Amy made a run for it, but found themselves cornered in the woods once more — surrounded by danger.

However, Moira appeared among the trees — shotgun in hand — and proceeded to threaten the rustlers if they didn’t get off her farm and leave her son alone.

They did just that, and Moira wasted little time in getting herself reacquainted with Matty, as he brought her up to speed on what was happening.

It was pretty evident that Moira was doing a lot better than the last time we saw her, and — as the episode came to a close — she confronted Cain in The Woolpack, revealing that she will be seeing Isaac and Kyle the following day whether he likes it or not.

Moira is back with a vengeance, but will she be able to convince Cain to give their marriage another chance?

Coronation Street spoilers: Beth Tinker horrified as passion ensues between Bethany Platt and Daniel Osbourne

Bethany, Beth and Daniel in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) has been growing closer and closer to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in Coronation Street, and during tonight’s episode, the pair shared a passionate kiss outside the latter’s flat — something which was seen by none other than a fuming Beth Tinker (Lisa George).

Daniel found himself roped into Bethany’s plan to expose sex pest Ray (Mark Frost) during Monday night’s double bill — and the pair began to find some evidence to prove Ray’s true nature on the laptop of the businessman’s solicitor.

During tonight’s episode, Bethany and Daniel took their plan to the next level, with the former confronting Ray over his inappropriate behaviour — something which left Abi (Sally Carman) in shock.

However, when it became apparent that Gazette weren’t interested in running the story due to what they believe is a lack of evidence, Bethany decided to publish her expose online — with encouragement from Daniel.

The pair shared a kiss afterwards, as Daniel revealed to Bethany that Sinead (Katie McGlynn) wanted him to be happy.

As she departed Daniel’s flat at the end of the evening — and at the end of the episode — Bethany found herself in Daniel’s embrace, as he kissed her once more.

However, little did they know that Beth had witnessed their moment of passion as she was returning baby Bertie to his dad, and — without wasting a single second — she berated him for disrespecting Sinead’s memory.

Coronation Street continues Friday 14 February at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.

EastEnders spoilers: Drunk Linda Carter causes a scene as she airs her and Mick’s dirty laundry in The Queen Vic

Linda Carter in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) paranoia has spiralled out of control in EastEnders as a result of her reliance on alcohol, and thus she’s come to believe that Mick (Danny Dyer) and Shirley (Linda Henry) are out to get her. As a result, she’s been hellbent on ensuring she reclaims the upper hand — but little does she know she’s making things much worse for herself and, during the next episode, she causes a very public scene in The Queen Vic.

With Linda having come to believe that her family are out to get her — a belief she came to hold after she stumbled upon an estate agent surveying The Vic at Mick’s request — she took drastic action and served her beloved husband with divorce papers.

Matters became somewhat more complicated earlier this week, when social worker Loretta paid the couple another visit. The meeting itself went pretty well, but Linda’s paranoia got the better of her once more, and thus she came to believe that Mick had bad-mouthed her to the social worker in regards to the incident with Ollie last week, and so she set out to rectify the situation.

(Picture: BBC)

However, little did she know that — in doing so —she’d inadvertently put her foot in it, as Mick hadn’t actually told Loretta anything anything,

During the next episode, tensions between Mick and Linda continue to simmer as a result of recent events, and Linda ends up causing a very public scene, as she airs both her and Mick’s dirty laundry in front of all the punters in The Queen Vic.

What exactly does she tell everyone?

What’s more, how will Mick react?

EastEnders airs these scenes Thursday 13 February at 7:30pm on BBC One.
