Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) and Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) are set to have a wedding day to remember in EastEnders as the youngsters prepare to elope and tie the knot, incurring the wrath of their families, not least of all Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley).

And while it does seem awfully quick for the pair to get wed, Maisie told Metro.co.uk that their feelings for one another are ‘100% genuine’ and she is certainly rooting for them to get their happy ever affair.

She told us: ‘They have been through so much individually and for them to fall in love shows how much they each have individually grown as characters. It’s a beautiful relationship because they’re both so vulnerable – they have a great dynamic I think.

‘They are totally genuine about each other. Because they have been through so much, they have been forced to grow up much quicker than others. I don’t think their relationship is child like at all – they have a lot of love for each other. They’re a bit of a power couple!

(Picture: BBC)

‘With any relationship, there is always a risk but as long as they are happy they should go with what they think feels right. There are very few people who are in favour of this wedding but Bernie is one character who wants them both to be happy! However, Karen is the least supportive! We definitely see that in the episodes to come.

‘It’s absolute chaos! It was so great reading the script – it starts of Tiffany, Keegan, Keanu and Bernie just going to the wedding and when they get there, the entire crowd of the Taylor and Butcher families are just there in this chaos. It was great to film and I can’t wait to watch it!

‘It is just so much fun. I love getting every family member into a room together to do scenes like this – it’s not challenging at all, it’s just a pleasure to work with them all at once.’

And if fans have their way, the couple will make it down the aisle and have a happy ending – as Maisie has admitted to be taken aback by the level of support the relationship has received from viewers, particularly on social media.

She grinned: ‘#Tiffgan! The following is huge, it’s so lovely to have so much support from a fanbase. When I first came back, I was still getting to grips with social media. Seeing some Maisie Smith fan accounts was lovely and since the relationship with Keegan started, the support has just doubled. There are so many fans who just love the relationship. I love watching the little videos that fans make about them.

‘Zack is great to work with, he’s a brilliant actor and I think our chemistry on and off screen is really nice. We bounce off each other well so I have really enjoyed playing out the scenes we have done with this relationship.’

(Picture: BBC)

Of course, viewer attention is nothing new to Maisie, who first appeared on the show as a child. Although she admits that it can be odd seeing videos of her sasstastic six-year-old self telling a young Dotty Cotton that she is ‘not flippin’ invited’ to a party.

She laughed: ‘It is weird seeing those. Once the episodes aired, it was sort of forgotten. But seeing your six year old self cropping up is just hilarious. Social media is a great way of seeing how massive it is that I have been connected with the show for so long and fans have supported me from day one and are still there now. A lot of the fans have actually made friends with other fans – it’s great to see friendships blossoming through it.’

But there’s a lot going on for Tiffany outside of the wedding drama. On potential scraps with Dotty (Milly Zero), she teased: ‘Who can say – at the moment, Tiffany doesn’t trust Dotty at all, and never has. I can’t see them becoming friends if I’m honest.’

On a Bianca Butcher (Patsy Palmer) return, she was much less cryptic! She enthused: ‘I 100% want Bianca back. I kept in touch with her from the day I left but actually seeing her again was the weirdest thing and being able to have a conversation with her face to face instead of texting. It was so lovely, it all went too quick. It wasn’t enough, I’m going to start a petition for her to come back.’

One kegacy that Bianca has inadvertently left behind is the sinister Leo, who is targeting Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), believing that she lied about his dead, abuser father Tony King. But Maisie has hinted that he could get his comeuppance once Tiffany works out who he is.

She revealed: ‘She does get involved a lot more. She knows what Whitney has been through over the years. Tiffany is very wary of any boyfriend because she hasn’t had the best luck. Tiff does get involved with that – if she does find out who Leo really is; watch out!’

Robert and Aaron in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) made a rash decision to flee the village several weeks ago in Emmerdale but, their plan ultimately failed, as Robert turned himself in to the police so that Aaron didn’t have to live life on the run. As a result, Aaron has struggled to cope ever since, and matters are made worse in the coming episodes, as he receives a devastating message from Robert.

Upon learning that Lee had died, Robert was unable to process what had happened. However, Liv (Isobel Steele) suggested that both he and Aaron could go on the run together and — after some deliberation — they agreed to do just that.

Aaron and Victoria clash in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

However, Aaron soon returned to the village — as his escape plan with Robert didn’t quite pan out and Robert ended up handing himself into the police — and in the coming episodes, both Liv and Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) grow concerned about the young man, as they come to believe he might be having a breakdown.

Later Victoria finds Aaron engaging in a fight with Wendy, and thus she proceeds to interrupt them. However, the pair are shocked when she breaks down in tears, and Wendy is rather apologetic as a result. After the dust settles, Victoria does her best to get Aaron to see sense.

However, Chas soon arrives and reveals she’s received a message from Robert — something which leaves everyone thinking that all hope might not be lost after all. That is, until Victoria learns of what Robert’s message entails.

Yes, Robert has made it clear that he doesn’t want any visitors — which means that both Victoria and Aaron won’t be allowed to see Robert again.

She’s devastated for sure, but the question is: how will Aaron react when he hears the news?

In spite of everything that’s transpired, Moira is refusing to give on her marriage, and thus she arrives up at Butlers farm to tell Cain that she’s moving back in. He’s not best pleased to hear her news, but an emotional Moira does her best to explain what motivated her to have the affair in the first place. However, Cain’s not moved by her words.

James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) was left devastated several weeks back in Hollyoaks when he learned that boyfriend Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) had bee murdered and he was forced to identity his body. With Harry’s funeral approaching, the solicitor vows revenge on the person responsible for his death.

This year got off to such a promising start for James. Harry returned and, before long, James welcomed his boyfriend back into his life, and the pair started anew. However, problems arose when Harry became embroiled in police investigation following Grace Black (Tamara Wall) having been injured in a hit-and-run involving his car.

James grew paranoid and found himself unable to trust anything that Harry had to say. As a result, he began drugging his boyfriend — something which ultimately led to the breakdown of their relationship.

The while village turns on The Dog landlady — James included — as he now believes that she had a part to play in Harry’s death.

Mercedes is set to be shot as part of the upcoming ‘Who Shot Mercedes?’ storyline, and — with James on the warpath — could he perhaps be the one to pull the trigger?

While Mel has proven to be a thorn in Sharon’s side, she’s also been getting on Keanu’s (Danny Walters) nerves as well and, in the coming episodes, she hints that she knows his big secret, and he’s forced him to hide his panic in front of both Louise (Tilly Keeper) and Lisa (Lucy Benjamin).

Elsewhere — knowing full well that Mel is the one forcing Sharon to sell the club — Ben (Max Bowden) attempts to persuade Mel to stop bullying his stepmum. However, Mel soon mentions a Mitchell family secret — and Ben’s interests are piqued as a result. Later, he asks Sharon what Mel was referring to, but she quickly plays down the importance of what was has said.

Emmerdale star confirms long-term split for Cain and Moira Dingle

Cain and Moira Dingle in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) affair with farmhand Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) came to light in an explosive fashion recently, as Cain (Jeff Hordley) discovered the truth not only about the pair’s dalliance — but also that Nate is none other than his son. Cain’s vengeance left devastation in its wake, and his marriage to Moira is hanging by a thread — but is it irreparable?

After everything that’s transpired, it’s safe to say that Cain’s not in a good place. He’s found out that the new farmhand has not only been sleeping with his wife, but that he also happens to be his son. Then, of course, there’s the fact that his beloved Moira has been cheating on him — which came as a devastating blow considering all the hurdles they’ve come through in the past.

Cain’s in a low place in the coming episodes, but Moira’s not willing to give up on her marriage without a fight, and thus she heads up to the farm. While there, she makes an effort to explain why she had an affair in the first place, but it’s clear from the offset that Cain’s not interested in what she has to say. In fact, he resorts to some pretty drastic action to forget about what’s happened.

Discussing Cain’s response to Moira’s affair, actor Jeff said: ‘After the explanations from Moira that don’t tell him what he wants to know, he starts to hit self-destruct and Kerry’s in the pub and she’s a bit drunk and she just sits down next to him. The scenes are funny and charged — it’s nice to have a bit of light relief. It’s been great working with Laura because I think the pair of them, Kerry and Cain — from what’s happened to them in the stories recently — they’re both really damaged and they don’t really care about what’s happening.’

A one-night-stand with Kerry may help Cain forget about all what’s happened, but for Moira — who stumbles upon the pair together — it’s no doubt going to feel like a betrayal. However, knowing that Moira’s caught him with another woman doesn’t seem to phase Cain.

Jeff said: ‘I think he doesn’t care. He’s glad to see her hurt. It pleases him for her to know how he felt.’

Yes, you know what they say: revenge is a dish best served cold — and Cain’s actions here are most certainly cold, so much so that Moira believes there to be no going back afterwards. However, this is the Cain and Moira we’re talking about here, and — given they’ve been through so much as a couple and managed to come out the other end — is this really the end for them?

Jeff reckons so, as he said: ‘The consequence of this storyline sadly means that Cain and Moira are no more. And who knows if they will ever get back together?

The interesting thing about Cain is that it was his marriage to Moira that kept his darker side in check. With the stability of married life and there support of his wife having now vanished from his life, could we perhaps see the return of a darker, more volatile Cain?

Jeff mused: ‘Yes. Definitely. Of his many low points in his life I think this is as low as he’s going to get. Not only has he lost his wife again, but he’s lost his wife to a son that he didn’t even know he had, so it’s like a double punch in the gut.’

Sharon Mitchell and Ben Mitchell in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has kept quite a few secrets in his time in EastEnders, but tonight he’s going to be sharing a rather big one with Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean), who’s found herself embroiled in a bitter rivalry with Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) as of late.

Sharon returned from her trip to Portugal during last night’s episode having acquired the villa that Mel desperately craved. As a result, she hoped that her problems would finally be at an end — but Mel had other ideas in mind. Having offered Ruby (Louisa Lytton) first refusal to buy the club, Mel planned on taking another thing that Sharon holds dear.

When Sharon got wind of the offer to Ruby, she was fuming, but Mel reminded her of what’s at stake. As a result, the Mitchell matriarch backed down, realising that Mel’s manipulation isn’t going to end any time soon.

Tonight, Mel continues to discuss the club with Ruby, and — later — Ruby decides to meet with Sharon to discuss the sale. However, Sharon disputes the amount that Ruby has offered, and the pair end up exchanging some words as a result.

Later, Sharon discusses the sale of the club with Ben — who’s inquisitive about why she’s selling in the first place — and she reveals that Mel’s the one responsible for her sudden decision.

As a result, Ben shares a secret with Sharon — and it’s one that could change everything.

Has Sharon finally got the leverage that she needs?

Emmerdale spoilers: Two major Dingle secrets are revealed tonight

Vinny and Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

The Dingle clan have been no strangers to keeping a secret or two over the years in Emmerdale, but two rather large ones are set to be revealed during tonight’s episode, as Mandy (Lisa Riley) answers for her crimes in front of her family when Dingle court is called into session.

Mandy wasted little time in getting her feet under the table upon her return to the village earlier this year. However, it recently came to light that she’d been harbouring a few secrets, so when she discovered the money in Lydia’s (Karen Blick) possession, she wasted little time in coming up with a plan to acquire that cash.

After setting off with Lydia’s fortune in tow, Mandy and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) attempt to evade their family at all costs tonight. However, their attempts to do so prove fruitless, and the pair are later apprehended and dragged back to the village.

In an attempt to get Mandy to open up about why she took the money, Dingle Court is called into to session. At first, she’s not having any of the shenanigans, and proceeds to point out the hypocrisy of the whole situation given what happened with Aaron (Danny Miller).

However, she eventually comes clean and tells the truth — that both she and Vinny were recently running a casino card counting scam in a number of establishments run by Terry.

As Mandy explains her motives, it soon comes to light that Charity (Emma Atkins) knew more about her dodgy dealings than she’s letting on.

And that’s not all, as another secret will also come to light — and it’s one that Vinny worries the Dingle’s might discover.

The question is: what exactly is this secret? And — perhaps more importantly — will the other members of the family find out?

Emmerdale continues Tuesday 29thOctober at 7pm on ITV.

Kym Marsh has confirmed the fate of Michelle Connor as she prepares to say goodbye to Coronation Street.

The actress, who has been on the show for thirteen years, has yet to film her final scenes, but is already prepared for what’s in store when the time comes.

Speaking on This Morning, Phillip Schofield questioned her on how it feels to be leaving the character behind.

‘[It feels] a bit weird,’ she told him. ‘I’m going to be very emotional on my last day, for sure.’

Confirming she knows when her exit scenes will happen, she said: ‘I do know, probably can’t say. But it’s soon, coming up very soon.’

Phillip then quizzed about whether the brassy barmaid, who’s about to get her heartbroken on her wedding day, will end up being killed off.

‘No,’ Kym said. ‘The door is open so that’s good.’

‘I just, you know, it comes a time when you’re a part of such a huge show and you play that character for so many years,’ she later explained. ‘I just thought I’d quite like to try my hand at something else.

‘I’m always one who loved a bit of a challenge, and so, there you go.’

Kym previously teased that her storyline could be connected to a Christmas Day exit, which as we all know in Soapland, is never short of problems.

A cliffhanger at the end of the previous episode saw Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) attempt to escape the clutches of Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) as she drove him potentially to freedom. She was distracted as she saw him trying to get out of the car, which led to her crashing into the crane carrying heavy equipment such as pipes and girders.

Stood on unstable ground above underground tunnels, the impact set into motion a chilling turn of events which will explode tonight, plunging many residents into the jaws of death. But will they be able to escape?

Tonight, emergency services rush to the scene and find a terrain of absolute chaos. With Charlie and Ella missing, Nancy and Darren take themselves underground to try and find the kids. But they are putting themselves into the firing line as rubble starts to rain down upon them.

With several residents fleeing when the crane topples and loses control, beams and girders fall to the village below and the likes of Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) and Yasmine Maalik (Haeisha Mistry) are caught in the crossfire.

Panic ensures as the unpredictable crain rains down debris – but soon the firefighters notice that the ground is giving way beneath the crane and the whole thing could come crashing down. Tony is still trying to escape and the kids as well as Mandy and Darren may have walked into their own tombs.

Meanwhile, Scott and Mitchell’s secret liaison in the florist is stopped by the noise of the sirens and crashes outside but Mitchell is too scared to step out with Scott, fearing the secret will be exposed.

But could staying put in the firing line of the collapsing crane be their final mistake?

Hollyoaks airs the disaster on Tuesday 29th October at 7pm on E4.

EastEnders star Katie Jarvis has spoken about how the support of her fellow actors has given her the strength to ‘stand up for hard-working people’.

Katie — who portrayed Hayley Slater in the BBC One soap — was job-shamed earlier this month for supporting her children with a security job at B&M Bargains.

However, the coverage resulted in several actors — from soap, television and film — taking to social media to show their support for Katie, commending her while listing all the jobs they’ve done in between acting roles in order to provide for both themselves and their family.

Speaking to Grazia magazine about the outpouring support she received — including support from actors Aaron Sidwell and Bronagh Waugh— Katie said: ‘Their support gave me the strength to speak out and stand up for hard-working people – especially single mums. As long as I’m providing for them, nothing else matters. Everything I do is for them.”

Katie appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire show earlier this month, where she also discussed the support she’s received, saying: ‘I am overwhelmed by it, I didn’t realise. I’m not on Twitter so didn’t see any of it. It’s kept me away from the bad stuff but to hear that was amazing – I am so glad to have their support.’

Katie played Hayley Slater in EastEnders last year, and featured in a number of storylines — her biggest undoubtedly being the secret fling she’d had off-screen with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), which led to a showdown with Kat (Jessie Wallace) on Christmas day. The character made her final appearance in February this year.

Vinny has been hiding something from the Dingles (Picture: ITV)

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale will see two big secrets revealed as Dingle Court is called into session and Mandy (Lisa Riley) is made to answer to her family for her recent bout of mischief.

She and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) will try their best to avoid their family, after attempting to steal Lydia’s (Karen Blick) money, but the pair will be dragged back to the village and will have to face Dingle justice for the would-be crime.

At first, Mandy will resist, but eventually, she’ll give in and confess the truth…

Is Vinny Mandy’s son on Emmerdale?

We can’t reveal whether or not Vinny is really Mandy’s son, as we’ve been led to believe, but in upcoming scenes, Mandy will confess that both she and Vinny were running a card counting scam in a number of Terry’s casinos.

On top of that, as Mandy shares the motives for her misdeeds, it will become clear that Charity (Emma Atkins) knew more about what was going on than she led everyone to believe.

As if that wasn’t enough drama for one evening, Vinny has a secret of his own which will be coming out in scenes tonight.

So what exactly is the secret that young Vinny is so scared will be revealed? Only time will tell…

Emmerdale continues Tuesday 29 October at 7pm on ITV.

Iqra introduced her girlfriend Ash to the family back in August (Picture: BBC)

Iqra Ahmed (Priya Davdra) has had a challenging couple of months in EastEnders, having recently come out to her grandparents by introducing them to her girlfriend.

Having initially told sister Habiba (Rukku Nahar) that she was in a relationship with a woman, she went on to reveal her sexuality to the rest of the family – part of a trailblazing LGBTQ+ storyline for the soap.

However things might not progress quite as smoothly in the wake of some pretty furtive behaviour from her girlfriend Ash of late.

Just who is she – and what secrets is she keeping from Iqra?

Here’s what you need to know…

Who is Ash in EastEnders?

Ash was revealed in August to be Iqra’s girlfriend, whom she introduced to Habiba and her grandparents after revealing to her sister she was in a relationship with a woman.

The character is played by 25-year-old Gurlaine Kaur Garcha, an actress who has also worked as a researcher on The Graham Norton Show and is a European Taekwondo champion.

What’s Ash been keeping from Iqra? (Picture: BBC)

Iqra came out to her sister after Adam Bateman (Stephen Rahman-Hughes) confronted her over mysterious text messages – leading her to reveal her secret to her sister following the family’s Eid celebration.

Although Ash was only recently introduced to the soap, Iqra told Habiba that she had been seeing her for a year.

What is Ash hiding in EastEnders?

While Ash might be in a long-term relationship with Iqra, it’s clear that she has been keeping secrets from her – including hiding her family from her and making furtive phone calls.

It’s not been revealed exactly what she’s hiding though – so we’ll just have to keep watching to find out how that one pans out.

Priya Davdra – who plays Iqra on the soap – recently teased the possibility of drama between the couple, telling metro.co.uk at the Inside Soap awards earlier this month: ‘There’s loads of layers to Iqra. There’s stuff coming up but you’ll have to wait and see.’

And as to the future of the pair’s romance as the festive season looms she added: ‘I would like to be kissing under the mistletoe but it is EastEnders so you never know.’

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays on BBC One at 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.

Who is dead in Hollyoaks stunt
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Hollyoaks fans have been left fearing the worst for some major characters after a crane collapsed onto the florist while the ground caved down into the tunnels below, trapping Nancy and Darren Osborne (Jessica Fox and Ashley Taylor Dawson).

Meanwhile, stuck in Breda McQueen’s (Myra Brady) crashed car, Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) was just breaking free when he was buried in debris while Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) and Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) were left in peril when the florist was crushed with them inside – but will anyone die as the dust settles and a rescue mission gets underway?

Breda’s crash into the digger was the trigger for the impact although Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) has already torn a strip off of Cindy (Stephanie Waring) as she had been warned that the equipment had been too heavy for the unstable ground.

With the weight of the crane sinking into the brittle ground, apparatus such as piping and girders rained down on those below, almost killing Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) and Yasmine Maalik (Haeisha Mistry). Well it wouldn’t be a Hollyoaks stunt if Yazz wasn’t in the firing line!

Nancy and Darren in Hollyoaks
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

As Nancy and Darren searched for missing Charlie and Ella, the kids managed to get out but as the caves collapsed, te exits were sealed off and Mandy and Darren were left injured under the falling rubble.

Elsewhere, with Mitchell having refused to face the public by leaving the florist with Scott, the pair have been left staring death in the face. As members of the public including Mitchell’s girlfriend Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin) rush to the scene after seeing that there were people inside, will it be too late to save them?

And will Tony be found before things get even worse for him? Charlie may well have spotted him in the back of the car – could it finally be time for Breda to be exposed?

And, down in the tunnels, will their shared peril unite Darren and Nancy as they fight for survival?

Who was Johnny Allen in EastEnders and when did he kill Sharon’s husband Dennis Rickman?

Johnny Allen was only in EastEnders for a year but caused a whole lot of trouble (Picture: BBC)

A name from the past comes back to haunt Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) in EastEnders tonight as she negotiates the sale of E20 with Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

Because, as the conversation becomes heated, Sharon gives mention to Ruby’s dad Johnny Allen – the man responsible for the death of her husband Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).

Naturally it unsettles her, as she points out she doesn’t really want to be negotiating with Johnny’s daughter – but just who was he, and when did Dennis fall victim to him?

Here’s what you need to know…

Who was Johnny Allen in EastEnders?

Johnny joined the show all the way back in 2005 with his then teenage daughter Ruby.

He was a gangster at the centre of some pretty dramatic storylines, initially moving in as the new owner of Albert Square’s then nightclub Scarlet (formerly known as Angie’s Den) – and going on to be responsible for the deaths of both Dennis and crime boss Andy Hunter (Michael Higgs).

Billy Murray as Johnny Allen in EastEnders
The role was played by actor Billy Murray (Picture: BBC)

He had several run-ins with the Mitchell brothers too, which led to them almost being killed by Johnny’s sidekick Danny Moon (Jake Maskall).

Things eventually came to a head for Johnny after Ruby discovered the true extent of his crimes and urged him to turn himself into police – following the show’s Get Johnny Week which resulted in the death of Danny Moon.

The character later died of a heart attack in prison.

Although his time in the show was brief – with Johnny being killed off in 2006 – his impact was a big one, with the character also winning best villain at that year’s British Soap Awards.

When did Johnny Allen kill Sharon’s husband Dennis Rickman?

Although it was actually Danny Moon who delivered the fatal stab wound to Dennis, it was Johnny who ordered his death.

The tragedy occurred after Sharon found out she was pregnant with baby Denny, and the couple had been due to leave the Square on New Year’s Eve to begin anew in the US.

Dennis had been involved in a feud with Johnny at t he time and the gangster had told Sharon – upon learning she was pregnant – that he would not kill Dennis if they had left Walford by midnight on New Year’s Eve.

However things went badly wrong after Sharon confided this in Phil, who promptly told Dennis – who responded by giving Johnny a severe beating and leaving him close to death.

After tossing him a mobile phone and telling him that if he could reach it he would live, Johnny called a henchman to murder Dennis as revenge – leading to him being fatally stabbed in the Square before the couple could leave.

Danny Moon was later revealed to have been Dennis’ killer.

Who played Johnny Allen in EastEnders?

The role was played by actor Billy Murray.

The actor has appeared in a string of British flicks including Rollin’ With The Nines, Rise of The Footsoldier, Dead Cert and Doghouse – and he’s also the voice of Captain John Price in the Call Of Duty games series.

EastEnders airs on BBC One on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.

The Panesar family in EastEnders
Meet Kheerat, Jags and Vinny Panesar (Picture: BBC)

EastEnders is set to see new arrivals the Panesars make their mark on Albert Square tonight as the family moves in to Walford.

The family, of Punjabi Sikh heritage, have already made their presence known in the Square after a recent confrontation with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) – and they’re also set to feud with one of Walford’s big families following their arrival.

So just who are the brothers, exactly – and who are they played by?

Here’s what you need to know about the newcomers…

Who are the Panesar brothers in EastEnders?

The Panesars are brothers Kheerat, Jags and Vinny – described by show bosses as ‘charming by nature – but a force to be reckoned with.’

Kheerat and Jags Panesar with Ben Mitchell in EastEnders
Kheerat and Jags have already confronted Ben Mitchell (Picture: BBC)

Eldest brother Kheerat is a successful businessman – while middle brother Jags, who idolises his brother, lives in his shadow – with nothing ever seeming to go right for him.

Meanwhile youngest brother Vinny is seemingly sweet – but viewers will discover that behind that innocent exterior he is no angel.

‘What’s really interesting about them is that Kheerat’s 31, Jag’s the middle one – a bit younger at 27 – and then you’ve got Vinny, the ingenue, and yet he’s got the shortest fuse in history,’ executive producer Jon Sen told metro.co.uk.

‘Obviously EastEnders is a show which prides itself on diversity and representing modern London and modern Britain and we were really keen on finding a way of telling stories from the Sikh community, so they arrive —these three siblings who are very different in and of themselves.’

Who are the Panesar brothers played by?

Eldest brother Kheerat is played by Jaz Deol, who’s previously been seen in short-lived ITV drama The Halcyon, as well as Love, Lies and Records, Together and Lovesick, among others.

He also provides the voice of Henry Green in the video game Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.

Jags is played by Amar Adatia, whose previous credits include Doctors, Dangerous Game, The Path To 9/11 and Brief Encounters.

Meanwhile youngest sibling Vinny is played by Shiv Jalota, who has just one other credit to his name – 2016 short film Heavy Weight.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays on BBC One at 7.30pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm.

Mandy faces court in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) have been harbouring plenty of secrets since returning to Emmerdale several months back, but the pair have been sitting on a pretty game-changing one — as Vinny revealed during tonight’s episode that Mandy’s not actually his mum!

Mandy’s been incredibly secretive since her return, and last week it came to light that she’s in desperate need of some cash, as casino boss Terry is on her back. After discovering Lydia (Karen Blick) had some cash to her name, Mandy set about acquiring said cash, and made off with it during last night’s episode — much to the Dingles’ dismay.

However, tonight Mandy and Vinny were apprehended by the Dingles, and brought back to the village so that they could get to the bottom of why they stole from Lydia.

Dingle Court was called to session, and — in spite of her hesitation to reveal the truth — Mandy eventually came clean, and viewers saw her dodgy deals unfold for themselves via a series of flashbacks — where it was revealed that Charity (Emma Atkins) also took part in said dodgy activities!

As the Dingles deliberated over Mandy and Vinny’s fate, the pair discussed how the family won’t turn their back on one of their own — a conversation which led to Vinny revealing that he’s not actually Mandy’s child!

The Dingles are yet to discover the truth, but this revelation does beg the question of who exactly Vinny is?

Could his alliance with Mandy simply be a part of another scam?

Perhaps, but Mandy seems to genuinely care for Vinny, so there’s likely more to it than just that.

Emmerdale continues Wednesday 30thOctober at 7pm on ITV.
