Emmerdale spoilers: Victoria Barton discovers boyfriend Luke is related to her rapist

Is Victoria in danger from Luke in Emmerdale?
(Picture: ITV)

Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) was in for the shock of her life in Emmerdale tonight when she discovered that Luke, the man she had become close to after meeting him in the hospital canteen, is the brother of her dead rapist Lee Posner.

It was already a horrendous day for pregnant Victoria as her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was being sentenced for the murder of Lee. So when she arrived in the public gallery and saw Luke emerge and sit beside Lee’s mum Wendy, she was dismayed.

As she told Aaron (Danny Miller) and Liv (Isobel Steele) that she knew Luke, she later confronted him but both he and Wendy insisted that it hadn’t been their plan for him to deliberately get close to Victoria to mess with her head.

As Wendy seemed genuinely shocked that Victoria and Luke knew each other, Victoria refused to believe them and she told Luke to keep away from her. But with Luke now conflicted – has he actually fallen for Victoria? Or will he seek to break her heart now that he deems her responsible for what happened to Lee?

Or perhaps he might go against Wendy’s belief that Lee was innocent and realise that Victoria was telling the truth about his monstrous brother. Whatever happens, it’s clear that Emmerdale have introduced the character for a reason and this won’t be the end of the story for Victoria.

But is it a love story – or a story of bitter revenge?

Meanwhile, Robert chose to plead guilty to the murder of Lee and was filled with emotion as the judge passed a life sentence with a miniumum term of 14 years before he would be considered for parole.

As a tearful Robert turned to a broken Aaron, he told him that he loved him before being sent down.

Whitney Dean and Callum Highway in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay) has been getting along rather nicely with ex Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) in EastEnders as of late, but evil Leo King (Tom Wells) set about ruining their special bond in tonight’s episode and, unfortunately, it would appear as if he accomplished to do so, as he set a trap to ruin Callum’s good name — and it’s one that Whitney walked right into.

After it became rather clear that Whitney was still harbouring feelings for Callum, Leo knew the young man was going to be a thorn in his side, and thus he set about removing him from the equation so that he can carry on his plan to get close to Whitney.

Earlier this week, the paralegal made himself out to be a hero when he aided Whitney in cleaning up her stall after it was vandalised. However, afterwards, Callum came along and offered his assistance — and Leo was fuming as the pair hugged once more.

Tonight, he decided to put his mission to dirty Callum’s name into play, and it came to light that he’d acquired an old video of Callum from his army days — and he set about orchestrating a way for Whitney to come across said video on his laptop.

After buying Callum a drink, Leo asked him about his experiences in the army. Whitney and Lola (Danielle Harold) arrived, and Leo made clear his intention to help Whitney find out the truth about who vandalised her stall.

While sitting with Leo, Whitney noticed a file on his laptop named ‘Callum Highway.’ Curiosity got the better of her, and she checked out the clip — and was horrified by what she saw.

During the clip, Callum was in the presence of several men — all of whom were mocking and jeering a drunk woman. They proceeded to make comments about stripping her, and Callum attempted to talk the thugs out of it.

In the Queen Vic, Callum approached Whitney to see what she was watching, and the young woman wasted little time in letting out her frustrations over what she’d just witnessed.

A shocked Callum made every effort to explain how he didn’t take part in the jeering — not to mention how he attempted to stop the awful behaviour his so-called mates were carrying out — but Whitney was having none of it, and accused him of holding back out of fear that his mates would find out that he’s gay.

Callum was devastated, and thus left the Vic, knowing that he could say little to change Whitney’s opinion of him. Leo’s plan had worked.

Has Whitney turned her back on Callum for good?  Or will she give him a chance to explain himself?

What’s more, the fact that Leo’s popped up at every given opportunity is certainly odd to say the least — not to mention the fact that he was investigating Callum too — so perhaps Whitney will come to discover the truth?

Ben Mitchell in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has had Martin Fowler (James Bye) taking part in all sorts of dodgy deals over the last few weeks in EastEnders, but it’s safe to say that Martin’s had enough, and — during tonight’s episode — he took drastic action to put a stop to Ben’s blackmail.

After acquiring a car for Ben — to replace the one that the young lad had stolen from Kheerat (Jaz Deol) — Martin came to realise that Ben had filmed him stealing the vehicle so that he could blackmail him into continuing their alliance.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Martin accompanying Tubbs on a series of pick-ups — several of which got out of hand, and Martin was forced to resort to violence as a result.

In tonight’s episode, Ben asked Martin to go with Tubbs on another two-man pick-up job — something which meant he’d have to bail on the plans he’d made with Bex (Jasmine Armfield). As a result, Martin decided he’d had enough of Ben’s demands.

He spilled the beans to Jack (Scott Maslen), and a plan was subsequently set in motion. As a result, Tubbs was arrested, and Martin proceeded to pull out all the stops to ensure Ben accompanied him on the pick-up so that the police could catch him in the act.

The plan was successful, and Ben was arrested on the job — while Martin got out of dodge.

Later, a fuming Ben asked Martin to meet him at home, and proceeded to threaten the fruit-and-veg stall owner over his actions. However, Martin remained unfazed by Ben’s words, and called him nothing more than a coward.

Martin may have the upper hand right now, but it’s clear that Ben’s not going to let him away with what happened.

There’ll no doubt be huge repercussions — but what price will Martin pay for betraying Ben?

EastEnders continues Friday 25thOctober at 8:30pm.

Emmerdale spoilers: Cain Dingle discovers the full truth about son Nate Robinson and his mum Cara

Cain Dingle in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) has already been betrayed by wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) in Emmerdale, leaving him shattered and with his marriage in ruins – but now he may also be unable to forgive his mum Faith (Sally Dexter) as she has been lying to him for a lot longer, knowing that he has a son he isn’t aware of.

Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) tonight confronted Cain about sleeping with Cara and then ignoring the fact that he had a son. But, while Cain admitted to knowing Cara and having a relationship with her after meeting in the pub, he assured Nate that this was the first he ever knew that she was pregnant.

Nate branded him a liar, telling him that Cara had sent letters and made several attempts to contact him but it became clear that Cain had no idea what Nate was talking about. Faith, however, did – and turned up at the hospital to tell the full truth at last.

Cain was flabbergasted as she explained that she knew that Cara had had his son – but because of Shadrach’s violence and bigotry, she tried to protect Cain by keeping it a secret from him as she feared that Shadrach would hurt him, Nate and Cara.

Cain was disgusted with Faith for keeping this secret from him for so long and it seems inevitable that this is what will trigger her exit from the show as Cain turns his back on her for this deception.

But while biologically, Cain now knows that Nate is his offspring, he is no closer to welcoming him as his son given that Nate has come with the specific intention of destroying Cain’s life by splitting him from Moira and even trying to get Kyle taken from him.

With Cain now seething and hurt by both Moira and Faith – the two women he should have trusted most – what will he do now?

And where does this leave Nate as he has sought revenge on the wrong person?

Who is Nate’s mum Cara Robinson in Emmerdale and how does Cain know her?

Nate Robinson in Emmerdale
We finally know who Nate’s parents are, but will we get to meet Cara? (Picture: ITV)

The secrecy behind Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) parentage has finally been fully revealed in Emmerdale this week, as the young farmhand confessed to being Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) son in dramatic scenes earlier this week and we have now discovered his mum is called Cara Robinson.

While Nate has been harbouring a grudge against his father for his whole life, believing that Cain rejected him, it actually turns out that Cain’s mum Faith (Sally Dexter) has been intercepting any contact from Cara and Nate to Cain all along, meaning that he never knew he had another son.

But who is Nate’s mum Cara Robinson in Emmerdale and how does Cain know her?

Who is Nate’s mum Cara Robinson in Emmerdale?

Nate’s mum has been revealed to be a woman called Cara Robinson, who Cain had a relationship with before he first appeared on our screens in Emmerdale in 2000.

While we still know every little about Cara, we do know that she and Cain met in a pub and went on to see each other, before Cara ended their relationship by disappearing.

When Nate reveals this information to his dad, Cain remembers Cara but is shocked because he had no idea she was pregnant after they lost contact.

This means that when Cain first joined Emmerdale he was actually already a father of two, having fathered both Debbie and Nate before he was introduced to the soap’s storyline.

Since birth, Nate has been brought up thinking that his biological father, Cain, had rejected him, because although Cara made numerous attempts to get in contact with Cain about their son, she never had a reply.

Faith gets a shock in Emmerdale
That explains why Faith reacted so badly to discovering who Nate’s mother was in an earlier episode (Picture: ITV)

What we now know is that Faith was actually intercepting all of Cara’s correspondence and attempts to tell Cain about Nate because Cain’s alcoholic, abusive father would have reacted badly if he had found out about Cara and the baby.

Although Faith has been insistent that all she was trying to do was protect her son (and grandson) both Cain and Nate are understandably furious and at this point, it looks like neither of them can find it in their hearts to forgive her.

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.

Daniel Osbourne and Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) left wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) devastated during Coronation Street last night when he revealed that he’s kissed Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) earlier in the week. Tonight, Sinead continued to process the news, while also making final preparations before time runs out — something which ultimately allowed her to forgive Daniel.

During last night’s episode, Daniel couldn’t shake his guilty feelings, and he struggled to make eye contact with Sinead as a result of what he did.

While he deliberated over whether or not to tell his dying wife the truth, Sinead attempted to make a list of things she’d like to take with her to the hospice, but while doing so she stumbled upon Bethany’s notebook, and proceeded to read her short story.

Afterwards, Sinead became convinced that Bethany had feelings for Daniel, and thus she asked him if this was the case. Eventually, Daniel came clean about the kiss — leaving Sinead devastated. After being kicked out, Daniel proceeded to get drunk before collapsing by the canal.

Tonight — knowing that she doesn’t have much time left — Sinead decided to record special messages on Daniel’s laptop for Bertie, in an attempt to highlight just how much she loves him.

Daniel eventually showed up at the Barlow household, and as a result, Tracy (Kate Ford) paid Sinead a visit to let her know about her husband’s self-destructive actions. Tracy then reminded Sinead of how much Bertie needs his father.

Daniel later arrived up at the flat — and Sinead revealed that the worst thing is that she doesn’t have time to let this situation play out the natural way. In other words, she doesn’t have time for an argument, and thus she ultimately decided to forgive Daniel, before informing him that he now needs to forgive himself.

He promised that he’d always put Bertie first, and the couple embraced, before Sinead told her husband that he is — and always will be — her home.

Coronation Street continues Friday 25thOctober at 7:30pm.

Broken Coronation Street fans heap praise on ‘phenonemal’ Katie McGlynn for Sinead scenes

Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

Coronation Street fans are in a bit of a state tonight after a heartbreaking episode saw Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) record a video for her baby son Bertie before she then found the strength to forgive Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) for his infidelity with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon).

And actress Katie has come in for some serious praise – as have the show’s writers – for a script and performance which saw Sinead urge Bertie to be kind to everyone as that is what will change the world.

Powerful – and extremely relevant – words.

Unusually for a soap, almost the entire first half of the episode was a single shot scene showing Sinead recording the video from a bed. It’s very hard for a serial drama to hold attention at the best of times so for a scene of such length to captivate the UK in such a way was a big ask.

But captivate Katie did – as fans have been racing to social media to praise her. Although it sounds like we all need to top up on the tissues we have gone through tonight.

Tomorrow night sees an hour long episode devoted entirely to the Sinead storyline – and will capture her final hours as she passes away. They promise to be some of the most heartbreaking scenes in the soap’s history.

Meanwhile, Katie has thanked fans for their ongoing support over the storyline, tweeting: ‘Your beautiful messages mean everything..I wouldn’t be able to watch Sinead’s final days if it wasn’t for the support of every single one of you. I’m going to miss Sinead Tinker so much, but I am so humbled to hear we’re doing this storyline justice.’ (sic)

Katie has been in the role for six years and the end of the storyline marks a devastating new journey for Daniel.

Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Hollyoaks’ signature stunt week is set to be anything but smooth for the residents of Chester, as chaos and devastation ensues. However, prior to the devastation, Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) learns a shocking secret as the day of DJ’s christening arrives, while Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) toys with the idea of letting prisoner Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) walk free.

In the coming episodes, Luke comes to learn the truth about DJ’s parentage, and he’s shocked as a result. On the revelation, actor Gary Lucy said: ‘It completely spins him out. He feels a whole mix of emotions, he feels betrayed by Ollie and Cindy. As a father, I can relate to how heart breaking it must feel to have lost out on all of the times with baby DJ, the big moments.’

However, in spite of Luke having realised that DJ is his son, he decides against revealing the truth.

Gary said: ‘As hard as it is I think Luke makes the right call and realises that it’s the right thing to do, to not break up the family unit that is forming with Darren and Mandy. Plus, he’s fallen off the wagon at this point so he’s not sure if he is capable of being the dad that the baby deserves.’

Luke is invited to DJ’s christening, and ultimately, he decides to attend — although he promises not to cause any trouble. However, problems later ensue when he comes to the realisation that Cindy (Stephanie Waring) was aware of the truth and failed to let him know. How will he react?

That’s not the only drama taking place in the village prior to the chaos, as Breda begins to fear that her family will soon discover the truth, and thus she comes to believe that there’s no other option than for Tony to die.

However, Tony pleads for his life, and manages to convince the serial killer that she could hand herself in and, in effect, let him go. We know that Breda toys with the idea, but whether or not she follows through has yet to be revealed.

Will Breda agree to let Tony go home to his family?

Honey is upset in EastEnders

Honey Mitchell’s (Emma Barton) relationship with Adam Bateman (Stephen Rahman-Huges) in EastEnders has been anything but smooth, but she’s set to face more heartache in the coming episodes, as word of her beau’s affair with Habiba Amhed (Rukku Nahar) reaches Mariam (Indira Joshi) — who’s determined to take action.

After her marriage to Billy (Perry Fenwick) fell apart, Honey thought she’d never find love again — which is why she was delighted when Adam came into her life. The charming dentist was everything she could’ve ever wanted and, after dating for quite some time they moved in with one another.

However, Adam wasn’t all that he seemed, and upon Habiba’s arrival in Albert Square, he began engaging in a steamy affair with the young woman. Although Honey has some knowledge of her partner’s dalliance with Habiba, she’s thus far attempted to keep the truth hidden, but that proves incredibly difficult in the coming episodes when Mariam discovers what happened between Adam and her granddaughter.

Mariam confronts Adam about the affair he had with Habiba, and the pair have an emotional heart-to-heart as a result.

She later tells Habiba that she blames herself for what transpired between her and Adam — something which leaves Habiba rather annoyed.

Later in the week, Mariam speaks to Honey about Adam’s affair — but Honey denies all knowledge and accuses Mariam of trying to split her and Adam up.

Is Honey correct?

Mariam thinks the world of Adam, so perhaps she’s simply trying to do what she thinks is best?

Daniel and Bethany in Coronation Street

A world without Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) is something Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is forced to come to terms with in Coronation Street, and — during the upcoming episodes — the young man struggles to remain in the street as a result, and thus he makes plans to get away for a while.

Following Sinead’s death, Daniel is left to organise the funeral — something which he struggles to do, and thus demands that everyone else leaves him alone.

Later, he pays a visit to the corner shop, and is horrified to find Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) baiting Bethany, so he rushes to her defence. Beth (Lisa George) hears about what happened and she’s fuming.

She later finds Bethany comforting an upset Daniel in Victoria Gardens and, with emotions running high, she accuses him of having an affair with Bethany, commenting how Sinead isn’t even cold yet.

Afterwards, Daniel stops by Ken’s (William Roache) and announces that he’s taking Bertie away on holiday to Scotland on the basis that it’ll do both him and his child the world of good to get away from the street for a little while.

Adam (Sam Robertson) and Peter (Chris Gascoyne) voice their concerns, but Daniel is adamant that this is what’s best for everyone involved.

As the pair set off for Scotland, an upset Beth watches on, and she’s worried that she’ll never see her godson again.

Will Daniel return to the street?

EastEnders spoilers: Pam Coker unites Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway as Lin Blakley calls for full return

Pam returns to EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

We love ourselves an ally and Pam Coker (Lin Blakley) makes a welcome return to Walford to check on Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) – and give him the wake up call that he desperately needs in terms of allowing himself to be happy.

Pam and Ben share the bond of their love for the late Paul and Ben feels guilty about falling in love again, fearing that he is betraying his late love. But Pam thinks quite the opposite and knows that she is seeing something in Callum Highway (Tony Clay) that would make Ben genuinely happy.

Speaking about Pam’s return to the Square, Lin Blakely told Metro.co.uk: ‘She’s come back to get the books as she does from time to time. Once she comes back, she wants to see everyone she loves and the first person she wants to see is Ben. Obviously, she wants him to move on, I feel. She hopes that he is. It was terrible what happened to Paul but Pam knows he needs to move on.

‘I think she senses the love Ben has for Callum. All I will say is that she wants to see Ben move on. She wants him to be a happy soul – she loves him very much so she really wants him to live his life. And she tells him Paul would want him to do that too. There are some lovely scenes in that. Pam is what Ben needs at the moment to tell him that!’

The last time that Pam had scenes with Ben, he was played by Harry Reid but it’s clear Lin has love for both actors who have taken on the role.

She reflected: ‘I had such a lot with Harry and now we have this new Ben. He’s a different actor and another lovely actor, he knows what he is doing. We clicked straight away – I was Auntie Pam straight away so it was so lovely. The relationship with Ben is still there. And the bond is still there with Max.

‘We did a very together scene and it really clicked; even the director said “oh my goodness, we could have taken that first take!” It was lovely for both of us. To click with an actor like that being thrown into a scene with someone he doesn’t know, it was definitely a lovely Pam and Ben situation. You just never know, do you? We had said hello to one another and that was it – he is such a good kid.’

Since leaving EastEnders, Pam has very much kept in touch with her Coker clan – comprised of Roger Sloman (Les) and Jonny Labey (Paul), who is currently competing in Celebrity X Factor.

She told us: ‘Roger and I see every six to eight weeks for a coffee if we can and we text each other – he’s coming to see this play. And we saw me in a play in London – we support one another very much. You can’t be a Les and Pam without having that bond I don’t think. We were sincere about that relationship. You don’t just share that and just say cheerio. You stay in touch.

‘She accepted his cross dressing, he explained what happened to him as a child with his father – things happen in life, don’t they? Pam has accepted that, and it wasn’t a bad thing – but in another sense, now that he’s away from London, perhaps she feels he can be more comfortable in himself and his crossdressing more, I don’t know. There’s still storylines to tell with them. What happened with her son? No-one completely knows that! It might get unfolded sometime.’

And she is supporting Jonny on X Factor, in the hopes that it could open some more exciting doors for him.

Celebrity X Factor contestants revealed Jonny Labey
(Picture: ITV)

She grinned: ‘Isn’t he brilliant!? I saw him on Strictly and then I saw a review at the Hippodrome – he’s an absolute showman. Something big might come out of this. He might go to Vegas, who knows. He has so many talents, he’s great on the guitar – I hope something big happens out of this, he deserves it and he’s a lovely kid. He still keeps in touch with his nan, so that’s nice!

But the big question is – would Lin like to bring Pam back to Walford for good?

She enthused: ‘If the opportunity came up to have Pam back permanentely, I’d be there in a heartbeat. I loved it so much. Coming in through this gates and seeing the boys on the gate was lovely. To have that everyday – it was part of my life for three years and it came at a time it was needed in my life – that would be gorgeous.

‘I came on a three month contract and stayed three years – and that was because of the fans; they kept us there. To be accepted like that is heartwarming, it takes your breath away. I mean that sincerely.

‘She’s like a nan to a lot of characters in the Square. It’s lovely to bring her back so she can see everyone, it’s a blessing and I am thankful for it very much.’

When we told Lin that fans would certainly be behind that and had been sharing excitement at the prospect of another Pam stint, she was genuinely chuffed and added with surprise: ‘I don’t do any social media – probably I should! Are people really excited? How lovely!’

Who’s setting up the petition, then?

Vinny and Mandy in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) has gotten up to no good since returning to Emmerdale with her son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) in tow, but it appears as if she’s got more big secrets to her name — one of which comes to light during the upcoming episodes.

With money woes aplenty — and casino boss Terrry on their case — Mandy and Vinny attempt to hack into Lydia’s (Karen Blick) bank account. However, Lydia catches them in the act, and Mandy does her best to explain her actions, but her explanation simply doesn’t wash, and thus an angry Zak (Steve Halliwell) decides to invoke Dingle court.

Unwilling to take part, Mandy and Vinny make a run for it — and they nick the Dingle’s van to do so. However, the car breaks down, and they’re forced to hide in the woods as a result. Their escape plan proves fruitless, as they’re soon apprehended and taken back to Dingle court.

Mandy’s not having any of the shenanigans as Dingle court commences, and proceeds to point of the hypocrisy of the whole situation given what happened with Aaron (Danny Miller). However, she eventually comes clean and tells the truth — that both she and Vinny were recently running a casino card counting scam in a number of establishments run by Terry.

As a verdict is being decided, Mandy is confident that the court will find in their favour.

However, Vinny begins to worry that the Dingles could possibly uncover his other secret!

The big question is: what exactly is this other secret that Vinny’s so scared of coming to light?

What’s more, will the truth come out?

Coronation Street is lining up a huge storyline for Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) as she is set to sleep with lawyer Paula Martin (Stirling Gallacher) – but is she bisexual and what will this mean for her marriage to Steve (Simon Gregson)?

Paula recently said goodbye to Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) as she headed off travelling and she now seems set to get close to Tracy. And one thing will lead to another, ending with a night of passion. Is it a one off or is a full affair on the horizon?

In another plot development, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) will discover that Tracy and Paula have spent the night together – but will she tell Steve the truth about what has happened or can Tracy convince her daughter to keep the secret?

A source told The Sun: ‘Tracy has seen it all on Coronation Street — affairs, murder, kids, divorce, the lot. But the writers have decided to give her another new twist with a night of passion with a woman.

‘Her and Paula will end up spending the night together after one thing leads to another. Amy then tries to bribe Paula into staying silent to mixed results. It’s not known if Steve finds out, but when Amy gets wind of it she does her utmost to try and keep it a secret and bribe Paula into staying quiet. The scenes are expected to play out early next year.’

Coronation Street spokespersons don’t comment on future storylines.

The report, which also claims to contain actual lines from the scripts which have recently been filmed on the show, also reveals that the tryst will soon become public knowledge when Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) overhears Tracy and Paula talking and reveals the truth, enjoying Tracy’s discomfort.

Both characters will insist that they regret the one off – but are they being honest?

Moira and Nate in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Her marriage to Cain Dingle (Jeff Horldley) shattered into pieces and her heart broken, Moira (Natalie J Robb) feels like she has lost everything following her affair with Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) – and she is set to lash out at him in a dangerous scene that threatens to spiral out of control in Emmerdale tonight.

As Cain simmers at the betrayal of his wife, making it clear that they are finished and he doesn’t want her near the kids, Moira is a wreck. She has tried to pick up the children but Cain is having none of it and Moira isn’t exactly getting much support from anyone else in the village.

So the last person she wants to come face to face with is Nate, who deliberately set out to seduce her in order to destroy his dad. And while it takes two to tango, Moira sees Nate as the epicentre of the disaster which has ripped her life apart and she grabs a shotgun, pointing it directly at him.

Nate has turned up at the farm to try and make amends and explain to Moira that she was never his target but it’s fair to say that his arrival in the village has been the catalyst for everything being destroyed.

As Nate tries to get her to see sense, hatred and rage fill her eyes as she contemplates pulling the trigger. Is she set to kill Nate in revenge tonight? Or can someone intervene and stop her taking action that she will regret?

The tense stand off brings an end to a week of high drama which also showed Cain discover that Nate is his son – a secret which his mum Faith (Sally Dexter) has kept from him for decades.

Emmerdale continues on Friday 25th October at 7pm on ITV.

Ben and Maggie in the Diner
Things have been tense between Ben and Maggie (Picture: Channel 5

Ben (Rohan Nichol) and Maggie (Kestie Morassi) have become more distance since Ben moved into the caravan park to deal with his feelings as the AFP case against him drags on. With Maggie distraught and feeling she’s lost her husband, she has been confiding in Roo (Georgie Parker) about how she wishes she could help – so Roo decides to pitch in with her own efforts.

Alf (Ray Meagher) is trying to get Ben to interact more and asks him over for dinner. As it will only be them and Roo, Ben is eventually persuaded. However, when Alf texts Roo the update, she decides to invite Maggie – without telling her Ben will be there.

Ben and Alf are taken aback to find Maggie with Roo when she shows up. Alf scolds Roo outside before the meal progresses and reaches multiple awkward points. Roo tries to make small talk, but Ben hasn’t been keeping up with life in the Bay and all this does is make him more aware of the fact he’s been absent from his loved ones’ lives.

Maggie becomes painfully aware of the tension and asks Roo how Irene (Lynne McGranger) is doing. Unfortunately, Roo doesn’t think about Ben’s own case and goes on for some time about how hard it is for Irene to sit in limbo with a conviction hanging over her head.

When Alf points out Ben is also in limbo, Maggie turns to the wine, and it isn’t long before everyone calls it a night. Ben offers to drive a drunk Maggie home, but once they arrive, she desperately tries to get him to stay.

Ben begins to think the entire night was a charade to lure him back to the house. He rejects her and walks away. The next morning, Maggie approaches him and says the night before wasn’t an effort to get him into bed. But Ben says he doesn’t want to pretend everything is OK – and she needs to leave him alone to sort things out…

Ben Mitchell and Martin Fowler in EastEnders

Martin Fowler (James Bye) reckons that he has the upper hand with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and that the nightmare of his hold over him is finally over in EastEnders – but he couldn’t be more wrong. When you mess with Ben, you play with fire and Martin is set to be left for dead in shocking violence.

Sick of Martin blackmailing him into debt collection jobs, Martin laid a trap for him and when Ben turned up for the job, he was arrested on the scene. With insufficient evidence to put Ben away, Martin thinks that it’s enough that the police are watching him. Ben has reminded him about the footage of him handling a stolen car but Martin is confident that Ben won’t implicate himself by using it.

But Ben has a different plan in mind. Martin couldn’t help but get his own back on Ben by gloating to him that he is just a boy living in his mum’s house – before then reminding him of his terror when he was dangled over a railway bridge years ago. And many Ben faces ago.

Telling Ben that he was a coward, Martin swaggered out and was ready to tell Stacey (Lacey Turner) that she is safe to come home now. But Ben isn’t going to let the matter drop. Seething at Martin’s actions and words, Ben will up the ante tonight and Martin will find himself in a terrifying situation.

With his life on the line, can Martin get out of this mess? Or will Ben’s revenge be an extremely deadly reminder that he is the one in control?

Whatever happens, it seems likely that Stacey won’t be coming home any time soon but Lacey has filmed some one off scenes to fill the gap.

EastEnders continues on Friday 25th October at 8:30pm on BBC One.

Faith and Cain Dingle in Emmerdale-df6b

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was left devastated in Emmerdale when he discovered that wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) had been having an affair with farmhand Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter). However, matters were made much worse when he found out that Nate was his biological son — and Faith (Sally Dexter) knew of his existence.

After discovering Moira’s affair via Faith’s meddling, Cain set about seeking revenge — and he succeeded in getting said revenge when he got into a physical altercation with Nate on a boat. However, the bombshell that he wasn’t prepared for is that Nate’s actually his son.

With the boat having gone up in flames, Nate and Moira ended up in hospital and, last night, viewers saw Cain unable to forgive his wife for everything that has transpired.

However, Faith’s odd behaviour was a cause for concern, and before long it came to light that she had some knowledge of Nate’s existence — and had prevented mum Cara from getting in touch with him.

Cain struggled to process the news, and tonight, it becomes apparent that he holds Faith responsible for the whole thing — affair included.

Cain and Faith have always had a strained relationship, but the pair had been getting along better lately than they’ve ever done before, but this revelation could prove to be the end for them.

What’s more, we know that actress Sally will be departing from Emmerdale soon, which means that Faith will be leaving, so could Cain’s feelings towards his mum over keeping Nate’s existence a secret perhaps prove instrumental in the character’s impending exit?

Emmerdale continues Friday 25thOctober at 7pm.

Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street
(Picture: ITV)

Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) forgave husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) after he kissed Bethany Platt (Lucy) Fallon) earlier in the week in Coronation Street, and tonight’s emotional episode will see the young woman pass away surrounded by those who mean the most to her.

There was conflict aplenty earlier in the week, as — after an argument with Sinead — Daniel found himself inconsolable and ended up kissing Bethany. When Sinead discovered the truth, she was devastated — as were Beth (Lisa George) and Craig (Colson Smith) — but, after having time to think, Sinead came to the realisation that she didn’t have time to argue, and thus she decided to forgive her husband — before informing him that he is and always will be her home.

Viewers have seen Sinead make a series of videos for son Bertie in an attempt to demonstrate just how much she loves him but tonight, her condition worsens, and Dr Gaddas comes to realise that she’s now too ill to move to a hospice.

As a result of the doctor’s comments, Sinead’s family gather by her beside and she takes delight in listening to them bicker over silly little things.

Later — realising how little time they have left together— she shares a special few moments with Daniel.

Before long, Sinead passes away with both Daniel and Bertie by her side.

Sinead in Coronation Street learns when she will die

Coronation Street fans are literally having their lives saved by the ongoing storyline involving the death of Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) – as the soap raising awareness of her cervical cancer has led to a spike in women attending screenings for the disease, according to reports from GPs.

ITV has shared that GPs are reporting surgeries being booked up as the storyline is prompting women to undergo the checks – which are said to be able to ‘prevent 75% of cancers from happening’.

Charity Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust cite screenings as ‘the best defence against cervical cancer’ and Corrie bosses – as well as actress Katie McGlynn – have spoken out about their hope that the storyline would have this level of impact.

Sinead discovered she had the condition while pregnant with her and Daniel Osbourne’s baby Bertie and she opted to suspend her treatment in order to give birth. Later, she considered trying non medical remedies and treatments but this had been strongly advised.

She managed to see through her treatment but the cancer later returned even more aggressively, leaving her with only a short amount of time to live. Tonight, viewers will witness her heartbreaking final scenes as she passes away with Daniel and Bertie by her side.

In an hour long episode which focuses entirely on the storyline, Sinead will drift in and out of deep sleeps as she is visited by a number of her relatives and loved ones – including her often absent mum as well as her aunt Beth (Lisa George), cousin Craig (Colson Smith) and vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

Viewers have been praising Katie’s performance and today she thanked everyone for their support, tweeting: ‘After nearly 7 wonderful years on the cobbles, tonight Sinead loses her battle with cancer. Ahead of tonights eps I wanted to share my heartfelt love & gratitude for every single fan of the show who has followed her journey. I’m going to miss her & @itvcorrie dearly.’ (sic)
