Emmerdale spoilers: Will Joe Tate return as Kim’s murder plan fails?

Joe makes a call in Emmerdale
(Picture: ITV)

Ever since he was confirmed as alive, viewers have been asking if Joe Tate will return to Emmerdale to take down Kim Tate (Claire King) – especially now that Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) intends to go to the police and give evidence that he is alive.

While Ned Porteous has no plans to come back to the show any time soon and Emmerdale have confirmed it’s off the table for now, there is undoubtedly unfinished business down the line. And as Kim loses a valuable trump card, could Graham bring her down on Joe’s behalf?

Graham and Kim are getting closer and closer to a level playing field – and Andrew reckons his alter ego could soon turn on the puppet master of misery.

He explained: ‘Graham doesn’t like the dark game that Kim is playing with Cain as he feels he is being pushed too far. Graham was the one who made Cain believe that he killed Joe, so he feels protective towards him.

He wants to end it all by going to the police and saying “here is the evidence that Joe is still alive.” Graham and Kim have this weird relationship so he’s used to her ways but he’s uncomfortable with the whole thing – it just reminds him that he’s well and truly trapped by Kim.

(Picture: ITV)

‘But he could turn against her if he was pushed too far. Graham is quite a clever, wily thing again – he does have balls. He’s got things over Kim just like she has over him. They know each other’s secrets – it’s just that Kim is the one with the money!’

Going to the police appears to be enough to stop Kim pursuing a further murder attempt against Joe. And Andrew has admitted it’s a relief not to have to hide the secret of whether Joe is dead or alive anymore.

He smiled: ‘I always knew Joe was alive so it was getting tiring dodging people’s questions!’

But there’s more questions to come – until we see Joe again and have his day with Kim, will this ever truly be resolved for fans?

Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders
Tiffany Butcher’s return to EastEnders left viewers wondering what had happened to her (Picture: BBC)

Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) returned to EastEnders on Monday night, and it quickly became apparent that she’s in a whole lot of danger.

The character is back in Walford on a mission to save her and Evie Steele (Sophia Capasso)’s lives from the grasp of a disgruntled drug dealer to whom they owe money.

Both she and Evie have fallen foul of the latter’s drug dealing boyfriend after failing to meet his targets of sales – and now they could both pay with their lives if they don’t pay up.

So just how did Tiffany get into this situation in the first place?

Here’s the story so far…

What happened to Tiffany Butcher and why is her life in danger?

Tiffany returned to Walford in 2018 after moving to Milton Keynes in 2016 with Bianca (Patsy Palmer) and her new partner Terry Spraggan (Terry Alderton).

She quickly became involved in several dramatic storylines, including almost being hit by a car, and posting a photo on social media of Louise Mitchell in a compromising position with Hunter.

However things have spiralled since then, with Tiffany beginning a relationship soon after with gang member Jagger Rawley (Aaron Thomas Ward), who asked her to deliver drugs for him – but she got rid of them and found herself in debt to him after realising Keegan had bought drugs from him.

Cue the arrival of Evie Steele who stood up for her and quickly befriended Tiffany.

The teenager was quickly taken by Evie at first, bunking off school with her and being drawn into her world – except Evie’s sole mission has been to get Tiffany doing whatever she wants, by acting as though she fancies her.

Tiffany has since been working for Evie after she was given a pair of new trainers as a gift and felt she had to repay her new pal for helping her out.

Evie has insisted on Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) also being involved in some of the jobs, which she eventually did despite initial reluctance due to her feelings for Tiffany.

Both Tiffany and Evie are in danger (Picture: BBC)

She became more deeply involved in drugs trafficking, inadvertently becoming Keegan’s supplier but finding herself in a terrible situation after he took drugs from her and later was rushed to hospital after collapsing.

After her family got an idea of what was going on – including her missing school – Evie managed to persuade her that they didn’t love her, and Tiffany packed up and left – but she’s returned now and appears to be in a lot of danger.

What happened when Tiffany returned this week?

Both she and Evie are under threat from a disgruntled dealer as it became clear Tiffany has been on the run since she left Walford in a bid to avoid Evie’s drug dealing boyfriend, to whom she owes money.

She was found by Bernadette trying to find the tin of money in Ted Murray (Christopher Timothy)’s flat in a bid to pay him what he owed – but later confessed to Bernie just how much danger she is in.

Will her friend be able to help her or has Tiffany reached the end of the road?

EastEnders airs weeknights on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.

Chantelle Atkins arrives in EastEnders
Chantelle Atkins is Albert Square’s newest arrival (Picture: BBC)

Another new face is set to arrive in EastEnders on Tuesday night as Chantelle Atkins makes her debut in Albert Square.

The character, played by Jessica Plummer, shows up just in time to save the day for Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) at their pop-up salon – landing herself a job in the process.

So just who is Chantelle – and how is she linked to the Taylors?

Here’s all you need to know about Walford’s new arrival.

Who is Chantelle Atkins and what’s her connection to the Taylors?

Chantelle is the ‘feisty’ eldest sibling of the Taylor kids, being the daughter of Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths).

She makes her debut as she lands herself a job in the pop-up salon – with the sisters soon finding out her connection to Walford.

Chantelle Atkins and her family in EastEnders
Chantelle is bringing the whole family to Albert Square (Picture: BBC)

Things are further complicated when Chantelle proves popular with new customer Gray – who gives her a generous tip for her work.

Given EastEnders has already revealed that Gray (Toby Alexander-Smith) is her husband – a solicitor with a job in the City Of London – is it all just a scheme?

No doubt all will become clear. And we can also expect a few feathers ruffled in the Taylor family, especially as it quickly becomes clear things aren’t too good between her and Karen.

However Chantelle is fiercely protective of her siblings, which could be good news for Keanu in his ongoing involvement with Phil Mitchell.

And her family is set to join her in Walford, with Gray also coming along as well as their children Mia and Mackenzie.

We sense there could be drama ahead.

Who is Chantelle Atkins played by?

Chantelle is played by Jessica Plummer, who is a former member of the girl band Neon Jungle (which also featured former X Factor finalist Shereen Cutkelvin).

The 26-year-old has said of joining the soap: ‘Just like the majority of the UK, I grew up watching EastEnders.

‘It’s an absolute honour to be joining the cast with all my childhood favourites…Rickaaaaaaaay.’

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays on BBC One at 8pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm.

MYRA LEAVES EMBARGOED 19/3/19
(picture: Lime Pictures)

In a shocking turn of events, Hollyoaks has lost a favourite as after a tearful goodbye in the village, the legendary Myra McQueen has left town.

Nicole Barber-Lane has decided to head off and at new things after 13 years as the unruly soap mum, meaning Myra has had to leave her family behind after bringing shame on herself ahead of her wedding as the actress makes her exit.

The damage from Myra and Sally St Claire’s (Annie Wallace) failed wedding was irreparable, as Myra wrongly believed Sally would just get over the fact she cheated on her with a man.

Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) and Sylver (David Tag) celebrated their successful nuptials by refusing to leave their beds, while Myra and Sally tried to pick up the pieces of Myra’s terrible actions.

Myra was in denial, telling herself that Sally would come back to her when she’d had time to cool off, but instead Sally was left wondering why Myra hadn’t bothered making contact, driving a further wedge between them.

When the two finally came face to face, Sally refused to accept her apologies and said she always knew this would happen – that she’d never be enough for Myra, and now they would need to let each other go.

Myra has left
(Picture: Lime Pictures)

Myra was distraught, especially as Sally decided to leave, but Cleo and Nana both tried to convince her otherwise. Seeing how much hurt she’d caused, Myra decided to go instead.

Myra told the family she planned to head to Alicante to be with Jacqui and Michaela to stop them going off the rails, but Mercedes concluded her mum was just running away from the problem. She begged her not to leave, but it was too late, Myra had made up her mind.

So after some tearful hugs, off she packed in her pumpkin shaped carriage and made her way out of the village as Sally looked on from the sidelines.

Nicole said of her decision to leave: ‘I loved working at Hollyoaks. I miss everybody, It just feels like home, but I feel like I need to do something different for me. I’m so proud of the show and I love it to bits.

‘My favourite storyline this time around was Myra meeting Sally and that relationship developing in to what it became. Also, the little partnership that I had with Lysette Anthony (Marnie Nightingale) that was precious, I love it all.’

How will the McQueens cope without her? How will we cope without her?!

EastEnders spoilers: Tiffany Butcher death danger in grooming storyline twist

Desperate Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) arrived back in Walford in the hope of finding help, but instead she could be pushed towards fresh danger as Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) got involved.

The two women had no idea how bad things had become for Tiffany until Bernadette Taylor (Claire Norris) brought them the cold, hard truth – that Tiffany had been running scared for her life along with Evie Steele (Sophia Capasso) because they owed money to a drug dealer.

Sonia and Whitney’s immediate instincts were to call the police, but a desperate Bernie talked them round, reminding them that Tiffany’s life was at stake and that calling the police would put an even bigger target on her head.

Instead, Bernie plotted to convince Tiffany to come back to the Square by leading her to believe she’d get the money she needed.

The plan worked, and Sonia and Whitney immediately intercepted the troubled girl and refused to let her leave.

Tiffany is in bigger trouble than Sonia and Whitney realise
(Picture: BBC)

As Tiffany fought against them she couldn’t see that Evie had caused all of her problems, not her family. They tried to get her to see she’d been brainwashed and groomed, but the teenager was too petrified to listen, and dealt Sonia and Whitney some harsh home truths, that she felt they’d turned their backs on her when she needed them the most.

They discovered the frightened teen was covered in bruises and realised she really was in serious danger from the man who wanted his money back. She then told them about another girl who owed money and just vanished one day when she didn’t pay up.

Whitney and Sonia later decided between them to work in shifts to make sure Tiffany didn’t do a bunk in the middle of the night. But the danger for the young girl is set to escalate exponentially when Sonia finds her raiding Dot’s jewellery and money stash. As Sonia tries to stop her, Tiffany lashes out at her and finds herself locked in a room while Sonia goes to get Jack.

But when they arrive to speak to her, Tiffany has done a runner. Bernadette mentions Ted’s flat and they rush over there to try and track Tiff down, but they are left horrified by what they find. Are they too late to save her?

Holby City review with spoilers: Bombshell as Ange’s secret past is revealed

It was a huge day for Frieda and Ange
(Picture: BBC)

Clues and hints have been dropped on Holby City for quite a few weeks now, suggesting a more-than-mentor connection between Dominic Copeland (David Ames) and Ange Godard (Dawn Steele). So it may or may not have come as a surprise to you to discover this week that Ange is actually Dominic’s biological mother. Apparently she gave birth to him when she was only 14 years old and handed him to Carole and Barry Copeland, who adopted him.

When Ange spotted Carole (Julia Deakin) around the hospital she wanted to know who she was. Finally Ange confronted Carole, who didn’t remember her. I imagine she’s changed quite a bit since she was 14, so we can’t blame Carole for that. ‘We met on a grey day in September 1987,’ Ange told her. ‘I handed you my baby.’ Clearly Ange remembers it very well indeed.

A shock for Carole (Picture: BBC)

She still hadn’t made the connection between Carole and Dominic, but it happened to be Dominic’s birthday and Lofty had arranged a little party for him – a very little party, as the only guests were Carole, Sacha (Bob Barrett) and Essie (Kaye Wragg) and it was in the staff kitchen. Festive. But it was there that Ange realised that Dominic is her son.

He still doesn’t know, but poor Carole is in bits. She hasn’t even told Dominic he’s adopted, which upset Ange because Carole promised her that her son would know that his birth mother loved him.

The birthday boy (Picture: BBC)

I have to admit I hate everything about this story. Carole and Dominic have always seemed like they have the perfect mother/son relationship. She’s loved him and supported him and embarrassed him in equal measure and she’s glorious. He’s her Dazzle, the apple of her eye. I think the reason Carole hasn’t told Dom that he’s adopted is that there was no need to do it earlier because the scriptwriters only recently thought of it. I may be proved wrong as the story unfolds, but right now I’m not on board with it at all.

Elsewhere, Frieda (Olga Fedori) was once again having to deal with some poor, frightened and ill illegal immigrants, this time brought to Holby by Roman’s friend Ivan. As a doctor and a caring human being, she had no choice but to help. The people were terrified that they would be caught and sent to a detention centre, so she tried to look after them in her boxing room in the basement. It wasn’t long before Zosia (Camilla Arfwedson) got involved and eventually Zosia called the authorities, because Frieda couldn’t really cope with such ill people without equipment and facilities.

You don’t mess with Frieda (Picture: BBC)

Frieda has now reached a decision – she’s left Holby (again) and will go to work for an aid organisation, where she can follow her conscience and make a difference. Gary the dog is going with her.

And Cameron (Nic Jackman) was trying to get someone – anyone – to go and see Janelle Monae with him. His preferred choice was Chloe (Amy Lennox), but when she turned him down he started working his way through the female contacts on his phone. Zav (Marcus Griffiths) thought this was quite funny, but Jac (Rosie Marcel) didn’t when she caught him trying to arrange dates during work time. He’s now on a verbal warning. Chloe eventually said she would go after all, but by then Cameron had given the tickets to Zav and Donna anyway. Chloe settled for Cameron buying her a drink instead. Let’s hope he remembered to pay for it.

Sue Haasler is the author of the official Holby City book, which you can read about here. Her latest novel, Half A World Away, is out now.

Ted gets a message in EastEnders
(Picture: BBC)

There’s good news on the horizon for Bernadette Taylor (Claire Norris) – her old friend Ted Murray (Christopher Tomothy) is winging his way back to EastEnders.

Ted made his exit last summer after coming close to dying from the heart problems he’d been hiding from the Taylors to stop them worrying about his ill health.

Bernie had discovered him lifeless in his flat having missed several calls from him as she concentrated on a chess match.

When she realised he needed her she’d raced home with Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) to find him collapsed on the floor, and she jumped into action to save his life – calling 999 and getting the emergency services there just in time.

His brush with death made him realise he needed to spend time with his family, and shortly after he left the Square to head to Australia to be with them.

But he’s ready to come home and he let’s Karen know, so she, Mitch and an excited Bernadette set about clearing up his flat ready for his big welcome back. He arrives back and Bernie is awash with guilt at what’s been going on since he was last home – his flat became Evie’s drug den.

Will she come clean about what’s happened?

Who is transgender Hollyoaks actress Annie Wallace and what else has she been in?

Annie Wallace Hollyoaks actress
Annie Wallace attends the British Soap Awards 2017 (Picture: Karwai Tang/WireImage)

When Annie Wallace joined Hollyoaks as teacher Mrs St. Claire, she made history as the first transgender person to play a regular transgender character in British soap history.

She has been in the part of Sally St. Claire since 2015, and become a much-loved part of the furniture in the Chester suburb.

At the moment, Sally is going through a tumultuous storyline, as we saw her calling off her wedding with Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane) after finding out she’d cheated.

The heartbreak was compounded for Sally as Myra decided to leave Chester for good, moving to Alicante to give her the space she needed.

It was certainly emotional, and played extremely well by Annie and Nicole.

Here’s everything you need to know about the talented actress, including where you might have seen her before Hollyoaks.

(Picture: Tristan Fewings/Getty Images)

Annie was born in Aberdeen on 6 May 1965, making her 53 years old.

Although she did youth theatre at an early age, she didn’t fully get into acting until later, after spending time working in computer science and sound engineering.

From there, she went on to work as a research assistant on Coronation Street, and helped advise for the character of Hayley Cropper from 1998.

Probably the biggest role you’d recognise Annie from prior to Hollyoaks would be that of school headmistress Miss Heller in Shameless (another teacher role).

Since then, she has made it onto a number of lists for influential LGBT+ people, including the Pride Power List and the Rainbow List.

She was also nominated as Best Actress at the Scottish BAFTAs for her work on Hollyoaks, making her the first ever British transgender actress to be nominated for a BAFTA award.

You may also remember Annie’s turn on Mastermind where she came second, with her specialist subject being Doctor Who between 1970 and 1980.

It’s almost a year since Shakil Kazemi (Shaheen Jafargholi) was killed as a result of knife crime in Walford, and as Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghademi) head to his grave they’re brought closer in their shared grief in EastEnders.

In new images, the pair can be seen mourning Shakil, when Kush reaches to comfort an emotional Bex with a cuddle as both are visibly upset.

Together they support each other as Bex lays flowers for her late boyfriend, tears flowing as she remembers him almost 12 months on.

But she misreads the situation, thinking there is more behind Kush’s affection than he intended, and with emotions already running high the pair end up in a graveside row.

She is then seen storming off, tears streaming down her face as Kush looks on, helpless.

(Picture: ISO Images)

Could Kush be fighting his feelings for Bex? Is he pushing her away because it feels it would be wrong to get it on with his brother’s girlfriend and best mate’s daughter?

It certainly seems like there could well be a blossoming romance on the cards, despite the age difference.

The pair shared a coffee date and enjoyed a bit of banter over their beverages, and since then Bex has been keen to help Kush out on his stall while he’s been helping her to study and leaping to her defence when he thought she was in trouble. Ray Meagher cleared up Home and Away departure rumours (Picture: ITV)

Alf Stewart has been a staple of Home and Away ever since Ray Meagher started on the show, way back in 1998.

But the actor sparked fears he was set to leave the Australian soap in the near future, after it was revealed he was ‘reducing his hours’.

During an appearance on This Morning, the 74-year-old addressed the rumours, confirming to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that he was going absolutely nowhere.

Home & Away
Ray Meagher vows Alf still has a few tricks in him (Picture: ITV)

When Phil asked: ‘You’re reducing your hours, what does that mean?’, he replied: ‘Oh it doesn’t mean much, Phillip…

‘Over the last 10-20 years, each Christmas I go over to your country to do a pantomime, and more recently I went over twice to do Priscilla Queen Of The Desert in the West End.

‘Once was a six month stint, another a run of four months in that same show. If you average my time out over the last 10-15 years, I probably average 40 weeks a year.

‘From now on, on a new contract, I’ll probably work 35-36 weeks of the year. So it’s just taking a tiny bit more time out, but I ain’t going nowhere.’

Summer Bay wouldn’t be the same without him!

Martha Stewart made a shock return to Summer Bay (Picture: Channel 5)

Alf has been making waves on Home and Away recently, after his long-lost wife, Martha Stewart (Belinda Giblin) returned to screens, despite being killed off before the soap had even started.

She made an unexpected appearance in the Bay, proving reports she had died in a boating accident were completely untrue.

And Ray hinted that there could be a chance for the on-screen lovers to rekindle their romance, now she’s back.

‘There’s still a few tricks left in the old dog’s bag at this stage, so you never know,’ he told the ITV hosts. ‘It’s looking as though they might resolve their differences at least, and there’s a hint of falling back into what they may have had when they were kids.

‘It’s a bit early to tell whether it will go any further, but at this stage, it’s pottering along rather nicely.

‘He’s missed her dreadfully, particularly over the last 10-15 years. The possibility of something happening, and rekindling things, really appeals to him.’

Coronation Street spoilers: Who is the killer out of Carla, Peter, Nick, Robert, Seb and Gary
(Picture: ITV)

Our pillows are still sodden with tears following the death of Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) in Coronation Street but thoughts are quickly turning to who killed her and more importantly, when we will find out the truth. Bad news – there’s going to be a bit of a wait.

Iain MacLeod, the show’s producer, previously revealed that the mystery would run a fair while, with viewers left guessing over who was out to get Carla Connor (Alison King) and ended up accidentally killing Rana.

As Carla is the one who is automatically blamed, her mental health will take a massive hit in coming weeks, leading to her going missing. She is public enemy number one and blames herself as much as everyone else does.

But in actual fact, we know that someone deliberately sabotaged the factory roof to engineer its collapse. But who was it? As we see the likes of Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) acting particularly out of sorts in the wake of the tragedy, all agony possible will be piled on pariah Carla.

And as she ends up consumed by psychosis, a special episode will focus entirely on her mindset and the ordeal she is going through. With Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) trying to save her from the brink, the episode will shine a light on her mental state of mind.

And it is also tipped to reveal to the audience who is really responsible for Rana’s death. But will they come forward and expose the truth to save Carla? Or will they hide in plain sight and leave Carla with the long term belief that she is responsible for her sister’s soulmate dying in such a brutal way on her wedding day?

Carla’s mental health episode is set to air around May so we have a few months still before the truth becomes clear. So keep guessing!

Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon reveals one cast member uses tongues in kissing scenes

Samia Longchambon has revealed there is one cheeky little cast member who likes to go all method acting when it comes to a Coronation Street snog.

While a TV kiss is usually a superficial, lips closed kind of affair, there is a Corrie actor who likes to make things authentic and chooses to go for a Frenchie when shooting romantic scenes, clearly not put off by the breaking of etiquette or the room full of cast and crew watching.

Samia made the admission on Celebrity Juice when Keith Lemon asked her about her kissing antics and the actress, who plays Maria Connor in the hit soap, confessed that her colleague gets a bit carried away.

Keith asked her who her favourite kiss was and if they used tongues.

‘There’s one person who can’t help it,’ Samia laughed.

‘What, they’ve got like parrot tongue?’ a shocked Keith asked.

Desperate to find out the culprit, Paddy McGuinness asked if it was lothario Ken Barlow, to which Samia vehemently protested.

‘Is it Rita?’ Will Mellor asked to which Samia jokingly confirmed that yes, Rita is the one who uses tongues.

As Keith pointed out, Samia’s character has kissed a lot of men in Corrie, so working out the true culprit will take some guessing. But she did speak in the present tense which might have given us a huge clue.

Celebrity Juice airs Thursday at 10pm on ITV2

Jason Donovan’s daughter Jemma is keeping it in the family as she becomes the latest addition to the cast of Neighbours.

The actress will appear in the soap later this year, 30 years after Jason’s character Scott Robinson left Erinsborough for good.

She’s the third generation of Donovans to appear in Neighbours, as Jason’s father Terence also featured in the show as Doug Willis.

‘Neighbours is an incredible learning curve for any young actor,’ Jason said as he announced the news.

‘It’s become an institution and I’m so grateful for my time on Ramsay Street.’

Here’s what you need to know about Jemma.

How old is Jemma Donovan and what has she been in before?

Jemma, 18, was born on 28 March 2000.

She is the oldest of Donovan’s three children, who also include son Zac and daughter Molly.

Neighbours isn’t her first acting job, as she’s also appeared in the BBC One film Mr Stink – based on the David Walliams novel – which she featured in when she was 11.

The teenager also appeared in the 10-part Netflix series Spotless back in 2015.

Who will she be playing in Neighbours?

Jemma is joining the show as Harlow Robinson, who is described as ‘quick-witted and complicated’.

She has said of her role: ‘I was so happy and very honoured to be a part of a series which has been enjoyed by generations.

‘The timing was also perfect because since my previous role on Spotless in 2015, I stopped going to auditions and acting because I wanted to finish my schooling, get my A levels and see what I wanted to do after that so it’s great how everything has fallen into place.’

She’ll be on the show from July.

Why has Myra McQueen left Hollyoaks and will she return?

Hollyoaks Myra McQueen played by Nicole Barber-Lane

Myra McQueen has been a Hollyoaks staple for over a decade, but now, the time has come for her to say goodbye to the Chester suburb for good.

Myra (played by Nicole Barber-Lane) has left Hollyoaks after being a recurring character on the soap for nigh on 13 years.

The character has certainly seen her own fair share of ups and downs; from the tragic demise of her daughters Tina and Carmel, to getting shot by Dr. Paul Browning (Joseph Thompson), to her affair with Venezuelan heart-throb Diego Salvador Martinez Hernandez De La Cruz (Juan Pablo Yepez).

Now it seems Myra could be gone for good, as she made her exit in last night’s episode on E4, which will be rerun tonight at 6:30pm on Channel 4.

Why did Myra McQueen leave Hollyoaks?

Myra’s wedding with Sally St Clair didn’t exactly go to plan, and it was all her own fault to boot.

On the wedding day, Myra confessed to Nana (Diane Langton) and Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) in the loos that she’d had a bit of a snog with Stevie Scaramouch on a night out the week before.

As luck, or perhaps the lack thereof, would have it, Sally was in the stall next door and heard the whole sordid thing.

Sally ended up calling off the wedding because she became convinced that Myra didn’t really want to be with a woman – rather what Myra really wanted was a wedding.

Myra initially thought that Sally would forgive her transgression and come back to her, but when that proved not to be the case, Myra decided to leave town after seeing the pain she’d caused.

So off she’s gone to Alicante to be with her daughters Jacqui (Claire Cooper) and Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes).

The real-world reason for Myra’s departure is that Barber-Lane has decided to trade Hollyoaks for pastures new.

On the topic of her decision to leave, she said: ‘I loved working at Hollyoaks.

However this isn’t the first time that Barber-Lane has left the soap.

In 2013, it was announced that she had quit Hollyoaks, and her character departed in September of that year after being shot by Dr. Browning, only to return in 2014.

So as to whether or not we’ll be seeing more of Myra in future? That’s anyone’s guess…

Hollyoaks stars Stephanie Davis and Owen Warner have given fans a bit of an intimate insight into their relationship with a semi-nude snap from their romantic getaway.

The couple shared a loved up snap of them on holiday in Barcelona, which saw them sat half-naked with just a bed sheet to cover their modesty.

Behind them was a huge window that let the world see whatever they had just been up to. Changing the bed linen we’d imagine.

They also shared a cuddly pool shot with the city of Barcelona sprawling behind them.

She captioned the pool pic: ‘Having an absolute ball with this one.’

Steph later uploaded to her stories images of the pair having arrived home giving a look at their Netflix and chill as they tucked into pizzas while catching up with their favourite shows.

The couple went public with their relationship in January and things were going so well Owen was said to have moved in after just one month.

They hit a rocky patch soon after – Steph accidentally fed her beau raw chicken giving them both a nasty bout of food poisoning.

Thankfully they appear to be well over that little incident as Steph’s cooking could well have improved.

Steph is set for a gritty storyline in the coming weeks which will see Sinead raped by her husband Laurie Shelby (Kyle Pryor). Laurie had seemingly been targeting Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) but in a sinister move attacks his wife instead.
