A stressed out Abi Webster (Sally Carman) clashes with someone in a carpark in Coronation Street soon, unaware the man is actually her husband’s brother.
Prior to their first meeting, Abi heads to Freshco to get some anti-sickness tablets for Kevin (Michael Le Vell).
Just as she gets off the phone, Abi goes to reverse into a space, but fails to spot a car behind her attempting to drive into the same one.
As this new video shows, a furious Abi leaps from the car and confronts the man, blaming him for the collision.
The new face, who is called Carl, argues with Abi and reckons he hardly damaged the vehicle.
Adamant Carl’s insurance would be paying her, Abi tells him that he shouldn’t push her buttons, because she’s already at the end of her tether.
She explains to Carl that her husband has cancer and she thinks he’s pushing her away. After Abi mentions having therapy following Mason’s death as well, Carl feels bad and goes to say sorry.
Walking away, Abi flings her arm around to push Carl from her, but ends up smacking him in the face.
Mortified, she apologises and he shrugs it off and heads back to his car. After it fails to start Abi offers to fix it.
When he tells her she is funny and gorgeous, he then asks her out for a drink – what will Abi say?
Back at the Bistro, Abi tells Kevin, Debbie (Sue Devaney) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) all about the incident – minus the attraction between her and the driver.
But as she comes back from the ladies she is shocked to find Carl chatting to the others and realises he is Kevin and Debbie’s brother…

Carl shares a dad – Bill – with Debbie and Kevin, though the siblings have a different mum. He’s also grown up in Germany, where he was born in 1986.
Speaking about his character, actor Jonathan Howard said of Carl: ‘He comes into Weatherfield to ostensibly be with his brother because he’s found out he’s got cancer.
‘But then we’ll discover Carl’s got some money issues back in Germany where he’s been living.’
