Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is about to face a harrowing battle to clear his name in Emmerdale when is he is suspected of hurting young Archie. Can he prove that he is not a child abuser – and will the truth that Arthur Thomas is the one to injure Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) son come to light?

With a picnic being arranged to mark Ashley’s birthday, young Arthur feels put out when Jai brings Archie along and makes his feelings clear throughout the day. When Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) tries to get the boys to bond and sends Arthur to show Archie the pirate ship, trouble soon brews.

In the ship, Arthur’s temper builds and, with his grief over losing his dad manifesting, he lashes out at Archie for ruining his dad’s birthday and attacks him, leaving him unconscious. Laurel and Jai tend to Archie and assume that he fell, something which Arthur doesn’t correct them on.

But as they are examining Archie, they find another mark on him and are concerned that this injury is not a one off. Fearing he will get into trouble, Arthur thinks on his feet and conjures up a story that Jimmy was responsible.

As word reaches Jimmy, he is left aghast at the accusation and he is adamant that he isn’t responsible – but will Jai believe him? As Jai puts the welfare of his son above all else, it seems unlikely he is going to listen to Jimmy and Laurel worries about the impact on her friendship with Jimmy’s wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler).

With Nicola determined to stand by her husband, where will Laurel find her loyalties lying and will this test her relationship with Jai? Meanwhile, as Jimmy worries about the consequences of the accusations weighing on him, Arthur continues to make Archie’s life a misery.

Will he be caught?
