Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) has been struggling to cope in EastEnders due to the serious amount of pressure she’s been under as of late and — following an appearance at her farewell party at The Queen Vic — the young woman attempted to take her own life during last night’s episode, and mum Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) discovered her uresponsive in bed the following morning.

Tonight, the paramedics arrive and take Bex away in the ambulance, as a devastated Louise (Tilly Keeper) watches on. Lisa (Lucy Benjamin) is wracked with guilt over what’s transpired — as she feels she could’ve done more to help Bex.

Sonia, Whitney (Shona McGarty) and Tiffany (Maisie Smith) await news at the hospital, and they’re relieved when Bex wakes up. However, Stuart (Ricky Champ) later spots the note that Bex wrote for her mum and dad, and thus he relays his discovery to Sonia.

Upon receiving the note, Sonia’s furious, as she’s convinced that what transpired was an accident. Later, she admits that she blames herself for Bex’s actions.

Meanwhile, Max (Jake Wood) tries to find out if Sonia has informed Martin about what’s happened, but she admits that she’s not happy with her ex for ignoring her calls.

Speaking of Martin, over at the Slaters’, Kush (Davood Ghadami) remains adamant that Martin needs to know — but the Slaters remind him that Walford simply isn’t a safe place for Martin to be right now.

Will Martin get word of what’s happened?

EastEnders continues on Friday 4th October at 8:30pm on BBC One.
