An EastEnders character is to come out as gay in an exciting new storyline.
Iqra Ahmed (played by Priya Davdra) has been hiding something and Adam Bateman (Stephen Rahman-Hughes) is set to confront her over her mysterious text messages.
It will be revealed next month, that the character is hiding texts she has been sending and receiving from girls.
A source told The Sun: ‘Iqra has been fighting to keep her sexuality quiet, but eventually the truth will emerge.’
Iqra will be the soap’s first Muslim woman to come out.
Adam has already noticed a suspicious text and Iqra’s phone and attempted to blackmail her.
He’s set to continue to press her on what she’s been hiding.
Ah, the drama never lets up in Walford.
Another storyline to emerge will see Patrick Trueman’s (Rudolph Walker) new lover clash with Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
EastEnders continues on BBC One tomorrow at 8pm.
