Emmerdale is set to air a shattering turn of events for one familiar resident tonight in the wake of the grim discovery of human remains at the school. When it emerges that the body is that of a newborn baby, a villager realises exactly what has been found and her dark and tragic past is ripped open like a horrific wound.
We can’t reveal at this stage who Jenny Finn actually is although viewers are suspecting Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) and Dawn Taylor (Oliva Bromley) as the mum. As the police investigate, they build a profile of who the child is and who its mother is. They look at a picture of a 16-year-old Jenny Finn – and viewers will see that there is a strong resemblance to someone we know.
As the person reels from the past being unearthed, will they be in serious trouble from the police? And can they cope as their darkest tragedy comes back to haunt them after they tried to put it behind them and start a new life?
In tonight’s double episode, shockwaves reverberate around the village as the case gets more and more grim.
And for one person, life will never be the same again as they face up to something they thought they’d never have to go through again…
Emmerdale continues on Thursday 4th July at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
